I lucked out because upon arrival, the previous customer's car had just finished testing, so I only had to spend about 20 minutes total here. Plenty of parking spaces, and plenty of space outside for waiting. Just two lawn chairs available though. In-N-Out and Goldstein's Bagel Bakery are within walking distance if you get hungry, but depending on the number of customers here, your test might be finished before you get your food. Needed a test only done on my truck and looked around on Yelp for a place that was not only local, but had a discount. In my search Arcadia Smog Test Only Center had everything I was looking for... good reviews, a discount for checking in and not a big wait time. I got there about noon and I can't recall the guy's name that helped me (which I apologize) but was Hispanic and very helpful. He broke down the payment process if I used Yelp coupon or not (cash only if coupon used) and took my keys and went to work. Luckily I got there with no one ahead of me, but within a few minutes 2 other customers arrived. My truck had no issues and was done in like 20min. I definitely would recommend this spot to anyone looking for smog check. I will say since I didn't need any other service I can't speak on that, if they even offer that. I took my car this morning for a smog test after the test was done I presented the $20 discount coupon that is on their website. The technician said he could not honor the coupon because I had to pay cash and that I had to present the coupon prior to them doing the smog. I said I was willing to pay cash and he said they had to tell me that if it didn't pass the smog test they would not retest it at the discounted rate. My car passed so no need to retest and I was willing to pay cash. I don't understand why it's a problem! I went near closing time on a Thursday. There was no line. The guy working there was very straightforward. No shiznizz type of guy. I gave him the keys, and he told me to wait for 10-15 minutes or so. There are a few seats inside and some magazines. I perused Facebook, instead. Probably forgot how to read by now. Here is my main concern with this place. With all the other smog test centers, it's usually in and out. I pay my money & the state receives confirmation. At Arcadia Smog Test Only Center, they had input the wrong VIN on the form. Not only did this cause delays, but now I will have to go back to the DMV and wait in line again since they could not finish transferring my registration due to this error! The technician did not take any accountability and blamed it on the scanner. If you double check your work, you could have caught this! I will be sure to do my double check in the future now. 0/10 do not recommend. I came in with my friend, Chris, as he needed a smog check before registration was due. The reason he wanted to come in was because of the coupon offer from the company's website of 29.75. The guy who helped us out,, seemed ok. Not overly friendly but not unfriendly either. After he took my car keys, and proceeded to perform the smog check test, he came back after several minutes and said my car had failed.
