Ahhhhh! I really wanted this to be a 5, but there are weird issues. 1. Our room came with a toilet literally 6 inches off the ground. Not kidding. 2. The continental breakfast was very good but had NO tea. It seems none of the staff even cared. 3. No real parking, so get ready to Uber or you can tram it a little. Gorgeous place otherwise. Super clean and lovely. aesthetics

    The corridor

Everything about this place was awful. They added so many hidden fees on top of the high price of the per night stay. The air conditioning was terrible, the fridge wasn't even plugged in, placed on a metal tray that won't even allow the fridge door to open, they charge you $45 a night for parking in their garage, charge you $100 extra for their "breakfast" which is quite literally just bagels, eggs and coffee. Don't book here. If I could give this place a lower rating, I would.

    Thermostat in room

The location was great for why I stayed in Brookline. The T is right across the street. Walking distance to Fenway and JFK's birthplace and childhood home. There are random shops and restaurants nearby. The room I was assigned to was freezing cold. There was not a thermostat in the room. I called the front desk and a maintenance guy came and had to turn it off. When I returned to my room later, it was a sauna. I called front desk and had to switch rooms. The comforter in that new room was all messed up and had to request new bedding later in the evening. Also, the door latch was broken. The front desk staff was condescending when I checked in. The evening staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby was big and open. Rooms were decent size, but dated. Hall carpeting was old and dirty. They do charge you upon check in 30.00 per day for breakfast whether you eat it or not and for WiFi.

I got this hotel because I was going to see a concert close by and I'm glad I found this hotel. Upon entering a beautiful and nice welcome by Roger, who was funny, had all the best recommendations and broke all the details down about the hotel. The entrance area (waiting area) was so cozy and beautiful. They had an assortment of fashionable chairs, a beautiful fireplace and this place was so colorful which I enjoyed, very brought. The breakfast was delicious a good assortment of everything. And a huge area to eat downstairs or go up to your room and enjoy. Now when you head up there's so much artwork everywhere, I love this. The room was so cozy and big, the bathroom was HUGE! I got a suite, so it had a kitchen, a room with a pull out couch and a pretty nice sized bedroom and a huge bathroom like I said. Upon entering we had a street view which I enjoyed and realized this place was so well put together. The vibes were just perfect. The bed was super comfy. I literally had no complaints at all. I've never stayed at a hotel in MA that has shopping plazas and markets right near by, walking distance this is so convenient. I would for SURE stay here again. The employees all were very kind, didn't matter what shift they all were attentive and kind. Great job, I loved it.

And why would management chose to bump a loyal elite status member?? Even more puzzling. But now I'm stuck with no hotel and anything close is sold out so I will incur incremental costs for last minute bookings AND Uber fares to boot. BAD BUSINESS, Residence Inn management. I will happily hand my money, and more of it, over to a Hilton.

Everything reasonable was really far outside of Boston, but then we stumbled across Anthony's Townhouse online. It is right in the heart of everything. You are extremely close to all the sights and restaurants. All of their rooms are extremely spacious with very big closets. Each one has its own unique decor. The whole place is extremely clean and housekeeping comes every morning. There is a fridge, microwave and bathroom on each floor. The owners are the most helpful people ever! They helped us find parking, get our T passes and even went through the map with us. There is a T stop right outside their house so you can take it everywhere downtown! I loved not having to take the truck anywhere. There are a few restaurants right across the street. There is also a whole foods. You cannot beat the price and location!! We will definitely be coming back to stay again.

The Verb is rock n roll / music themed that includes records and record players in each room; pretty interesting and nostalgic. We had two rooms with a view of the pool without balcony. My room was clean, smelled good, and was well-decorated. The room included all of the basics. The second room had a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom. We reported the issue to the front desk, and the staff member claim it would be repaired upon our return from our outing. Unfortunately, it was not resolved. The included breakfast hosted next door was very good. In addition, the breakfast staff employees were excellent.

The property has a fun 1960s vibe, with music front and center, turntables in every room, and a big selection of albums to choose from. Once you get past the all-black hallways, the rooms themselves are a good size, very clean, with effective HVAC, relatively quiet nights, and one of the better-designed hotel bathrooms, including actual shelf space for toiletries. Staff were solid, and the included breakfast is more substantial than the typical "free breakfast" offered by many hotels. Highly recommended; we stayed in a standard room rather than one of the converted travel-trailer suites.
