quoting my three year old, this place is "wooow". Very cool place with a lot to do all under black light. This is like a mall got married to a raver. With that in mind, it isn't really for kids, my 3 year wasn't completely comfortable with it and after awhile she wanted to leave. The thing that saved her was the ice cream spot which featured some amazing flavors (5 star review as well). Will for sure be back, probably will try to go parents only next time though. read more

Conflicted on this one. It's a great concept and there are some fun things here. Particular highlights were the Illuminarium and Army of the Dead VR experience. Downsides: COST!! They charge you admission which does nothing more than get you in the door. The most inclusive pass ($129 per person) does not include everything. There are still many experiences that cost extra such as axe throwing ($39), free roam VR, Meow Wolf and the mega mart which is a staggering $57 per person just to go in and browse!!! Lines can be pretty long. There is basically only one place to eat and the wait was about an hour. Arcade is in a bar so the teens could not go in to play. Also, as a first timer who didn't know the ropes, there was a lack of staff to explain what things were to help decide what we wanted to do. It's a cool novelty and I would not go again. read more

Difficult experience. The place is very cool, the way it designed. Very kind on the eyes. We did the VR experience. Expensive. But certainly worth a one time try. The girl checking us in was rushed and moody. The main reason for going there was because we had purchased tickets to the Rated Red show in the morning. When we arrived they told us they had canceled the show. An email was sent. But it was only at the bottom in fine print it mentioned the show was not going to be on. The manager that pointed out the email was rude and made us feel like it was our fault. The place could be amazing with some attention to customer service. Good try. But a real miss. read more

Area15 is a large entertainment complex with lots of fun and exciting experiences inside! They have many cool art installations and VR experiences. Area15 has axe throwing, virtual golf, an arcade for adults, in-door ziplining, and much more. I got to experience Wink World where you enter in six different rooms with different sounds, color, and visual effects. It was a cool and unique experience! I would highly recommend everyone go check out Rated Red. It is a 21+ over show inside of Area15. It's a classy & sexy burlesque show with lots of dancers of all shapes and sizes. I love how they play different genres of music. Definitely check out the Meow Wolf Omega Mart installation! It's huge in there! I spent over 2 1/2 hours there and didn't get through it all. Lots of cool rooms with different art installations. Also if you want to go on a fun little tour do the Lost Spirits Distillery Tour! It's $55 per person and it's approx a 2 hour tour. You get to go into cool rooms that's instagram worthy and try homemade rum, brandy, or whisky. Area15 is a great addition to our city and they constantly are coming out with new and fun experiences for everyone of all ages to enjoy. Can't wait to go back soon! read more

HORRIBLE and unreachable third-world place. Nobody picks up the phone, there is no phone number listed anywhere to speak to a person. Reservations are impossible to make, what a shit show of a place. Shame on whoever came up with this and thought it would be a good idea. I even stopped by in person and still couldn't talk to anyone, i gave my contact information to The Beast and Lumin cafe and nobody has contacted me even after that. There is a bar in the middle so great for parents to grab a drink while the kids have fun looking at the artwork, unique lighting and music. On Omega Mart: Went late afternoon on a Tuesday and this experience had a a few hundred people in it. It was shoulder to shoulder and you can't really take it all in with so many people. It smelled like vomit and there were no bathrooms or cell service/wifi. It was basically glow paint and blacklights. If there was anything interesting, I missed it due to the mass of people they let in. Made it stressful and annoying. They'll get on you quick if you take your mask off for a picture in the name of safety but puke on the floor, no bathrooms, and people packed in like sardines is totally fine. On Area15: It's kinda just a bunch of people hanging out looking at their cell phones. Nothing to do unless you pay for an expiernce. Add more bathrooms, get wifi for your guests (it's very easy to get separated from your group with these crowds and wifi is crucial in these situations), and limit the amount of people you let in overall (if you actually cared about safety this helps much more than masking and makes for a higher quality experience for your paying guests). read more

Such a fun unique experience! We came on a date, but would definitely come back with the kids. It's free to enter (you need a pass though) and the experiences cost money. Kind of a choose your own adventure, and there are many adventures to be had. We got cocktails at the tree bar, which there is a DJ playing. Then we went to Wink World. Mega Mart was sold out, buy tickets in advance for it. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the adventures. Definitely want to check out the Lost Spirits Distillery next time. read more

I won't ever go back here. It's a large building with various "cool" exhibits that I thought would be fun. In reality, the exhibits are cool but not cool enough for me to spend a minimum of $20 for each exhibit. People were incredibly nice there but the cost to see some flashing lights and neon art is not worth it. They would be better off charging a set amount then get to see all the exhibits. For a family of four it is unreasonable to pay $80 for one 15 minute exhibit. Art was fabulous. People were extremely nice but it is way too expensive for what you get in return. read more

When an adults' playground meets black light, AREA15 was born. Your senses are heightened the instant you step through the front doors and it is truly something out of this world. Yes, AREA15 is technically for all ages but many places inside serve alcohol and it is 21+ after a certain time at night. I found out only after the fact that pretty well-known DJs like Tritonal play there sometimes which is neat. The kids I saw there were far and few. Entry inside AREA15 (the main hall) is free but any of the experiences inside will cost ya a pretty penny. There's indoor zip-lining to a golf simulator to the infamous Omega Mart, and it ranges from $18-55 a pop. Since it was our first time there, we HAD to do it to 'em and checked out Omega Mart! Pro tip: Plan ahead of time and purchase your tickets ($55) online. They were gracious enough to still let us in 30-40 mins after our scheduled entry time so thank you!! Omega Mart does live up to its behemoth of a reputation! I won't disclose much in hopes that you will get a chance to experience it yourself, but it will leave you feeling a little grotesque...but in a good, introspective way! Omega Mart is highly interactive and requires you to touch a lot of surfaces (the sheer number of doors surprised me lol). Hand sanitizer stations were located throughout, but just the amount of touching kind of put me off. There's also no way to social distance once inside. Overall, AREA15 is close enough to the Strip that you should definitely stop by to get your obligatory photos and soak in all the ~vibes~ but I personally would not plan to visit any of the other attractions on my next visit. This space is a very immersive location with many unique shops, restaurants and attractions. On our visit, we were able to visit the Van Gogh experience which a great way to see his art with a very relaxing and welcoming environment. While there, we were able to throw axes, have lunch in a garden themed area. Axe throwing was a lot of fun. Only thing I can recommend for eating here is to reach out to the restaurant you want to eat at to understand if they do reservations, we got lucky and grabbed a table but during the busier times, this can be tough. Area 15 is quite the experience for all! It is fun, tactile, and an explosion of activity. I highly recommend coming to this place. I also recommend that you book online for the free tickets to enter the facility, and then if you are a NV resident, be sure to show your Local Driver License to get discounted rates to enter some of their more specialized exhibits. 1. Parking - On a Sunday, we arrived at 10:05 am right when they opened and there was plenty of parking available. Parking is limited, so just be careful. 2. Before you enter - Plenty of great outdoor exhibits to wonder around and take pictures. 3. Masks - Well, as we all know, as long as we have cable news, we will be wearing masks, not wearing masks, wearing two masks, and being cautious of the Covid. That being said, as of today, masks were recommended but not mandatory. Now, if you are planning to go to the Omega Mart, I highly suggest that you bring a mask and once inside, you can decide if you wear it or not. You are going to be touching everything inside, just like everyone before you and you are going to be in a very tightly spaced environment. This is a visual and tactile experience. There is plenty of anti-bacterial stations around and the staff are constantly cleaning! 4. Omega Mart - Here, I recommend you go online and simply pay for the NV Resident Admission of 39.00 per person, as it is 55.00 normally for adults. a. The market is interesting as a display, but the real treat is the somewhat hidden doors and access way into the immersive experience inside. b. Everything inside the market seems to be fake and some of it can be considered humorous, but I found it to be rather uninteresting after a few looks at all the things on the counters. If you can harken back to the days of Mad Magazine... I know, I know, then you will realize that the stuff here on display has the same type of parody, but just a bit weaker and just a bit more superficial. By the way, comparing the parody of the Omega Mart to the old Mad Magazine kind of reminds me of how Ricky Gervais compared the the Golden Globes and the Oscars. He said "The Golden Globes are to the Oscars what Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton. Bit louder, bit trashier, bit drunker and more easily bought." In a way, Omega Mart is just okay. Now, once you enter the immersive part, that is where things are interesting. You can crawl and climb, go through small holes and have some amazing visual and tactile experiences. I recommend everyone to try it. While interesting and worth a visit, it is kind of like seeing the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel or the canals at the Venetians. I mean, if you have been to touch and feel science museums where you can be immersed in senses but yet learn that is great. Here you are immersed in the senses but there is no learning. All a bit superficial. 5. Now what looks to be a lot of fun is the bar area, the food area. I think that many people can hang out here and enjoy their favorite snacks, libations and etc. Since we were here at 10:00 am on Sunday, and since I don't start drinking till 11:00 am..... But hey, the place looks like a great place to socialize and hang out. Overall, I give the place a good solid 3. Definitely worth checking out. read more

This place is super cool and super fun. It is really trippy to see the lights and artistic design. My favorite is the bar under the electric tree. It's so fun and relaxing. They make great drinks on the pricey side. It is free to get in but the excursions cost about $30-$40 each. Reserve ahead of time. There is a free arcade in the back. Free to enter but you buy tokens. Some fun old school games like the Simpsons and Pinball. They have pool in there too. There are video game related drinks in there as well at the arcade. I'm not sure about this place, it definitely seemed interesting when researching it online but it's absolutely overpriced. We did the omega mart and while some parts were cool to look at, I do t think it was worth the $59 ticket price, even worse we find out that we could have paid less had we purchased our tickets there. While we waited, we had drinks at the bar with the cool lighted tree.....the drinks were super watered down at $20 a drink. Across from that, my niece got ice cream only to find a giant hair swirled in her vanilla ice cream. The omega mart was pretty busy, the very steep stairs are an accident waiting to happen, I slipped but was able to catch myself. I'm kind of torn here but the prices here are more of a tourist trap. read more

What a rip off. Was told it's something you have to do. I asked a few times what is it? Answer? It's something you have to experience. Especially with kids. Hmm ok...so you go, it's a big warehouse and once inside, it's an 80's dance party essentially with neon lights, different "experiences" that you have to pay for and it's not cheap. If you're on shrooms I'm sure it's amazing but on its own, felt ripped off. It's like a carnival fair being ripped off feeling but it's just more sophisticated carnival like here. . So glad didn't go into their "grocery" store where wow you can walk into a fridge to another "world." Uh-huh ok. The "experiences" we did were meh. A room with woah dude such cool lights. Uh huh..Another room with bouncing psychedelic bouncing wires, and another room and another and another with bad music and more strobing lights. You get the idea. Apparently there is a virtual video game where you can kill zombies but that alone is $80?? Our package came with the opportunity to use a virtual headset where there was this big robot you throw stuff at it. Yawn...Something like that. If you were to do all the experiences... it would be cheaper to go to Disneyland. In a town where you're continuously being ripped off, this was especially painful. Then again, maybe the whole point is to show up on shrooms then perhaps you wouldn't care I suppose. read more

LIFTOFF- A PANORAMIC SKYLINE EXPERIENCE I had a chance to enjoy the LIFTOFF Skyline experience at Area 15 on March 3rd. My boyfriend and I chose our time close to sunset. What a cool attraction and great idea!! You get to enjoy great views of the strip and the valley, amazing views of the mountains in the back drop. There is a lounge area and a bar before you check in for your ride where you can enjoy a couple drinks before your ride. You are welcome to bring a drink with you on the ride!! You will board what it looks like an helix look like open air balloon. You will sit on chairs where they will be secured by a seat belt. The instructor will go over some safety instructions before the lift. They have lockers on site where you can store your items for safety so they don't fall. You will go up 130 feet high! Once up there, the balloon rotates giving every seat great 360 panoramic views of the Valley and the Strip. I would recommend a jacket or wind breaker for the ones that get cold easy. I LOVED this place! I wasn't sure reading the reviews here as all of the descriptions were so vague, but I asked a local that I met and they were the same way. After going to the OmegaMart I understood why. It is WAY better if you don't k ow what's going to happen. I am into weird u inquest things, but my wife is not and we both loved this place! When we came home I offered my 13 year old son to switch an upcoming trip from a water park to Las Vegas (what dad does that?!) and after seeing some of my pics he was sold! I will go back next year with him and then I hope to go to Lost Spirits with some age appropriate friends myself cause that seems awesome! This is a pretty cool place. I was in town for a concert and was here for the pop-up exhibits on site. I did not pay for any of the activities inside but I took a look around. I do not know if AREA15 actually arranged the pop-up or if their space was just rented so I won't comment on how those were, but I did love them playing music videos on the big screen in the courtyard for the fans. That was very cool. I do love that they have an Emack and Bolio's on site too. I used to go when I lived in Boston. The store in the middle of the venue sells some interesting clothes and other items. I would return another time and try some of the activities. read more

It was spectacular in appearance, but we felt overwhelmed due to not being guided beforehand as to what to do. I had no idea that my card could be 'tapped' and no idea there were secret doors etc to 'unlock' until a friend who had been there told me about their experience. It was fun to just walk around and see the area, as it was interestingly spooky and weird, but so much was missed because I had had no previous knowledge as to what to do, how to use the interactive screens, what the goal was in finding secret areas, and literally what I supposed to do as I wandered. No staff ever interacted with us, or helped us understand what we were experiencing. It felt cold and hollow. Until a friend also told me what the purpose of the extensions on the phones were, I had no idea why a company had names and extension numbers on various phones around. It makes more sense after I am briefed, but having not been briefed, I wandered around in strange mazes with a card I had no connection to, and obviously missed the purpose of the experience. For the money, being briefed beforehand, some interaction or explanation by staff, or a module on a screen to watch before entering, would be helpful.
