We decided to take our friend's to Perche' No for a birthday celebration and it was really outstanding. My husband said, "it's like an Italian grandma is cooking non-stop back there" and I agree. Everything we ordered was rich, loaded with flavor and delicious. As I walked in, I noticed the decor felt like walking into an old school Italian restaurant, mom and pop owned, romantic, dim lighting, and European touches throughout. The menu is extensive, with a great variety of appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. Our service out outstanding...we ordered some cocktails and a nice bottle of wine to complement our meal. Everyone really loved their dishes. I especially loved mine because it had an incredible amount of crab. Our desserts were divine, specifically, the limoncello cake. Every bite was sweet, tangy, and lemony. We are really, really looking forward to going back! If you're looking for a romantic date night to indulge in some authentic Italian food, head in!

Perche' opens at 5pm and we arrived at 5:10, finding the establishment already 2/3 full. By the time we left, every table was occupied. My friend was craving a salty pasta dish and ordered the spaghetti Puttanesca ($20). I was craving my usual short-rib-something and got the ravioli tortellacci ($27) which turned out to also be our waitress's favorite entree. The number of ravioli dropped from six (3 years ago) to five today but remained outstanding. Free bread was brought out moments later (good, but not warmed and that was a small bummer). Service was excellent. Venue tends to be loud due to close tables and smaller rooms. Parking is a challenge but the location is very walkable to other events.

Outstanding apps and the chop is top tier!

The food was simply delicious and the service was wonderful too. This smaller and special place is a great dinner stop while in downtown Tucson.

We had dinner here in October and it was so good, we came back to celebrate my mom's birthday a few weeks ago. Both times, dinner was exceptional. My mom is Italian, so I knew she would really enjoy dining here. The place was clean and the servers were friendly. In October we had the Penne Positano (Penne pasta tossed in a creamy tomato sauce with spicy Italian sausage) and the Spaghetti Puttanesca (Spaghetti pasta tossed with kalamata olives, capers, anchovies, and garlic in a tomato sauce). It was amazing. We kept talking about how great the meal was during the entire ride home back to Sahuarita. I also enjoyed my pumpkin martini. A few days before Christmas we had the Penne Mango (Penne pasta tossed with grilled chicken breast, onions, garlic, spinach, and diced mangos in a sweet and sour cream sauce topped with feta cheese), the Spaghetti Scoglio (Spaghetti pasta, mussels, clams, tiger prawns, and scallops in a zesty tomato sauce), and the Penne Positano (Penne pasta tossed in a creamy tomato sauce with spicy Italian sausage). Everything was exceptional including the tiramisu. Thanks for helping to make my mom's birthday special! Perche No is in my top five places to have dinner in Tucson and it has my highest recommendation. The place is cozy and reminds me of a restaurant one may come across on K Street in Sacramento. I highly recommend making a reservation.

Came to this restaurant with my boss this evening. I made a reservation as recommended, and I'm glad I did as it's a relatively small place, and now I understand why the tables fill quickly. The food is outstanding. I ordered the salmon with linguine and asparagus and enjoyed every bite until there was nothing left. The presentation was excellent, and the flavors were even better. Service was friendly and efficient, adding to an already great experience. Parking is limited, so be prepared to walk a bit, but I can assure you the walk is absolutely worth it.

Duck breast salad, short rib tortellaci

Ordered the octopus appetizer (delicious but a little tough), duck breast salad (cooked well but EXTREMELY sweet), short rib tortellaci (good overall, no complaints). Cocktails were made well. Enjoyed the ambience, service was efficient but felt a bit oddly cold.

We came here on a busy Friday and I was so impressed with food , service and vibes. The prices are fair and everything we had was delicious. Bruschetta with goat cheese, spaghetti with shrimp and penne pasta with Sausage

I was staying at the nearby hotel. I heard about this place so I wanted to try it out. We called and they are normally booked in a van. I was told by that but that we can just show up normally have cancellation. We did that and was able to get a table around 5 PM. everything was good including the quality of the ingredient in the flavor. The ambiance was chill vibe. I recommend if you are in the downtown area.

Our 2nd visit to this amazing Italian Restaurant and it did not disappoint! I was in the mood for 'Shrimp Scampi' and our server delivered. It was absolutely AMAZING!!! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff! One of our favorites in Tucson!

A great little spot downtown! We've been wanting to check out this place for a while and decided to try it for a birthday dinner. This restaurant is small, so reservations are highly recommended. Also, it's recommended to call at least a week in advance to get your reservation. If you wait until the week of you're likely not going to get in. We were not able to get a reservation so we got to the restaurant about 10 minutes before they opened to grab one of their walk-in tables outside. We ordered fried oysters, bacon wrapped dates, sea bass with linguine Alfredo, and the gnocchi with lobster. We also tried the mascarpone limoncello cake and it was divine! Everything was absolutely delicious! The portions are large so we were able to take food home to eat the next day. I can't wait to go back to try other things!

I came in for a late lunch and it was quiet and I was seated right away. The service was friendly and I got my food fast, but no one checked in on me after I got my food fast. I got the lobster ravioli and the limonata dura cocktail and the total was $35 pre tip.

Fantastic service ! The ambiance was perfect . They easily accommodated my vegan request & did not disappoint. We closed down the house ! Will be back for sure .

Was in Tucson for a week, found this place on Instagram, stopped by. Its a nice cozy restaurant. Had quite a good menu, lot of good options I wanted to try but ended up getting the paste mango, never had this combination before. The creamy sauce with the subtle mango flavor goes really well together. The presentation, and the flavors were really good. My other friends tried other dishes which were are all really good as well according to them. The service was quite fast, maybe a little too fast at times as they'd clear our plates without asking even if there was a little food remaining. The desserts both the strawberry cheesecake and the tiramisu were both really good, definitely must order.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

Same charms, different bartender, and new summer (May) craft cocktails that have become quite substantial (see pic of double-sided menu). We are both on a mezcal discovery kick and ordered the Black Cathedral ($16) and the Girl Dinner ($16). Each was as described (pic) and delicious. I enjoy some challenging textures and flavors for the sake of experiences. What I tried over 2.5 hours: -Nixtamalized Barrel cactus fruit aged in ash with chiltepin jam and chiltepin leaves preserved in vinegar. I liked it- sweet and smokey. The barrel fruit was a tad fibrous. -Refried tepary beans with wolfberry and a green powder of globe mellow salsa verde. The powder was tart and yummy. The tepary beans tasted fairly simple. The dried cactus was nice- reminded me of kale chips. The tortillas of my friend's omni menu were very soft and pliable. -Yakitori: Barrel cactus fruit with candied Tohono O'odham Ha:l Squash, mesquite tare and marinated cholla buds reduction from last year's cholla, topped with jojoba seeds. This was a fave. -Maitake with corn rib and desert botanical bonchons. I thought the name might have referred to Banchan, the small Korean side plates of kimchi etc since there was kimchi in one of the bites on the plate but it was spelled Bonchon, "my hometown" in Korean. The heirloom corn vegemite bite was umami as expected. The snail shaped amaranth leaves white kimchi bite was tart, bold and delicious. The corn rib bite was topped with pickled yucca bud pieces on top- I loved getting to try that and loved the flavor and texture of it. A sunflower head "brisket" bite was really interesting and I enjoyed the brisket flavoring that was achieved here. The texture felt fitting for it too and it seemed clever. Likely a challenging bite for some with the flower flavors and texture in the end. The amaranth dumpling bite was filled with something else made from amaranth I didn't catch. The last bite of this plate was the Maitake mushroom with palo verde- delish. -Raw Nopal with preserved amaranth pico de gallo with agave pulque -blackened agave frozen granita with pico de gallo and pressed coriander ironwood emulsion. Vinegary and refreshing- Big hit. -Kaiseki: cactus bud, three sisters stew, cowpea and ironwood blossom. We were also given a complimentary Non- Alcoholic beverage with it: a chilled palo verde Pu-erh fermented tea. It had a light fizzy feel. LOVED the drink and it balanced the saltiness of the stew. The broth that the waiter added to the stew at the table was overly salted but the stew was good and was more filling than the other dishes so far. I liked the meaty texture of the ironwood flower. This course came with a tostada topped with refried tepary beans and prickly pear tunas and with young cactus in salt bush emulsion. -Wolfberry sorbet- served beautifully. Very sweet and single note. The waiter said the wolfberries on top were pickled and I wish I tasted pickled flavor because it would have provided balance. I tried my companions roasted Huuñ Ga'i sherbet with kombucha soaked corn and preserved amaranth flowers and enjoyed it more than the wolfberry sorbet. -Wildflowers-Cactus sorbet with frosted amaranth leaves and cactus marmalade. I would have enjoyed it more if it didn't come right after the overly sweet wolfberry sorbet. It was more balanced but I really was sweetened-out. It had some medicinal notes but was interesting. I liked the cactus marmalade pieces. I like the leaves that were super crispy but some were heavily frosted with sugar. I LOVED my companion's Wildflowers dessert. It was a warm miso cake with mesquite, brittlebush curd and cactus marmalade. The mesquite really came through here wonderfully. -Pimachata: Candied squash and aerated squash. Was craving something savory now but luckily this one was less sweet and more balanced. My companion seemed to enjoy her goat cheese ice cream. With the check, came two sticks with mesquite gummies.I love mesquite but this again was a tad too sweet now. The least positive part for me was the service. I was surprised that a place with a focus of introducing people to food of the desert they might not know about would not have the servers engage when someone seems very interested, like me. No written menu/ description was given during the meal and I tried my best to write down notes as the waiter was listing the descriptions extremely quickly in a rehearsed way without engaging with us and without slowing down much when asked. I asked for an extra note card and he gave me a blank receipt. The most confusing part was that they ended up bringing us a printed menu with the dishes listed when we finished the full meal. We were so flabbergasted as to why he wouldn't mention it was coming when I was writing notes or even better provided it at the start. It felt that the servers were very focused on doing a rehearsed part instead of engaging meaningfully. I was very happy with my pay-what- you-wish experience and I experienced all of this like art viewing. So cool getting to try so many local desert plants!

Staff were all very kind and never seemed annoyed with the dog (you can always tell at a restaurant if they are, and they were very happy to accommodate him). Very dog friendly!! The food: We gotta talk about their French onion soup. It was pretty dang delicious! The broth itself is quite nice, a nice cheese portion, and the baguette was divine. I also had their French Connection sandwich (with a side of fries), and it had a great combo of ooey, gooey cheese, firm and flavorful ham, and served on a really delicious loaf. The soup was a bit spicy from the chili oil but it was so good! It also doesn't come with its original variety of banana leaves on the side but they do give you some veggies and sauces (meant for pho) along with your dish. One thing I might add is, it is a very, VERY big bowl of soup/noodles. I really wish they had a bigger spoon because it felt like it took me forever to eat; I usually love to do a spoon full of noodles, soup, and a bit of the meat in every bite, but with the spoon here, it was quite an impossible feat. I asked for a different spoon, but it was just as small. I did end up taking most of it home to finish. My server was very nice! And was quite attentive.
