We worked with Robert Ippoliti on several orders to replace 8 windows and 17 doors, including our front door, interior doors, and an exterior door. We had zero prior experience with purchasing windows and doors so we didn't realize there were so many options to consider, many of which can't be easily understood by someone outside of this industry. However, Robert made everything very straightforward for us by providing clear explanations of the different options and giving us suggestions when we were unsure of which choices to make. He also helped us find products that were in our budget which was much appreciated. Throughout all of this, he was always patient with our questions and responsive if we needed something from him. A contractor gave our plans to a sales here to get an estimate however we did not choose this contractor. Then the sales from Argonaut went to find our architect and kept asking for our architect to have us go in for a consult. I went in the first time in January this year and the experience was ok, learned about windows but later after giving my window requirements, I never heard back. Never got a quote. A couple months passed and we were getting ready to demo our home. I did not want to go back but my husband insisted on going to Argonaut despite my reluctance in doing business with them. This was my home project but they did not let me feel they cared. Maybe they have too many projects but I already wasted my time going to them before. We went back to speak with the same sales however the same thing happened. All talk and a waste of time. My home is already demo-ed and I still have not received a quote from them. It has already been at least two months. In the end we purchased our windows from Anderson Window and Door Installation. Service was top notch and I would recommend anyone to go there. read more

First time buying windows and apparently with 17 windows we were not a very large project but we got helped a lot. We went back and forth on so many options, trim, hardware and everything and even went to other window providers in the area before circling back to Argonaut. The guy who helped us, Robison was great. He explained so much like the difference between Andersen and Renewal by Andersen (which we were almost bamboozled by), and the product ranges like Marvin, Kolbe, etc. I would go back to Argonaut, it took us a year from start to finish because we bought and gutted an old house. 10/10 - would buy again from these guys, no high pressure sales, just tons of knowledge and a nigh saint-like amount of patience for my flip flopping. He was great - very responsive. Quotes we received were price competitive (not better but not significantly worse). Subtracting one star because actual lead times were on the long side of quoted (ie, 6-8 quoted turned into 8 weeks) and then small subsequent delays (miscommunication on Argonaut's side that added a few days), which gated the overall project. read more

Paul Padilla was very good to work with. Very consultative. Bought La Cantina bifold doors, a skylight and a few Andersen windows. We ended up in a bit of a catch 22 on a few issues (e.g., length of bifold door opening vs. size of beam required, size of door panels vs. Title 24 requirement, etc) and Paul actually got on the phone with us, our architect, structural engineer, title 24 consultant and our contractor and helped break the impasse. It was a master class in conflict resolution and finding a middle path! Loved watching him work the problem. He's also a good human and a pleasure to talk to. Can't recommend him enough. read more

Service post window delivery is horrendous. We ordered over 100k in windows. Initial delivery of windows was fine; installation done by contractor and everything after installation, which Argonaut claims is part of what you pay for is absolutely horrendous. Four months after screens for windows were supposed to be delivered we are still waiting due to errors by Argonaut. Service appointments are scheduled three weeks out; when they come they only take care of one or two issues. Would not recommend this business, read more

In 2006, we contracted with Argonaut to have our windows and sliding doors replaced. They did great work then -- a five-star job. Recently we had an issue with our living room sliding door: The weather stripping had partially come off, making it difficult to close the door. So, it was a simple matter of replacing the weather stripping. We contracted with Argonaut to do this repair. Manny and Omar came to our house earlier this week and did the repair. Not only did they replace the weather stripping, but Manny noticed that the strike plate was not quite aligned, so he replaced that as well. As he put it, he has been installing these doors for over 20 years, so he knows them inside and out. We are very happy with the repair; I feel that Manny and Omar went beyond the call of duty. The reason for just four stars in this review is timeliness. We paid for the work up-front. But it took about three months to get the service scheduled. Much of the delay was due to a mistake in ordering parts: Anderson sent the wrong parts, and had to be reordered. I don't know if the problem was on the Argonaut side or the Anderson side. In any case, the problem was finally rectified, with good results. read more

While I'm still waiting for my missing window, I decide to share my terrible and frustrating story. I ordered 15 Marvin windows/doors from Argonaut back in early December 2021 and the lead time back then was 11-13 weeks. After 6 weeks, they told me the order had been delayed by Manufacture for another 4 weeks. Fine, their sales order said the estimate was just an estimate, so I lived with it. The real problem happened when the windows were finally delivered, my contractor, not Argonaut, figured out one of the window came in wrong size and the order was correct apparently. Now, I'm suffering endless waiting/calls "begging" them to give me an update after 4 weeks, ridiculous! They will surely point the problem to Marvin as their statement is Marvin ship the wrong window to them and they're responsible for correcting it. I take it. But the real problem is they're not on your side and they just take your money and disappear. When they called me 8am in the morning to ask for the final payment, they're super responsive. I'm not buying window from Marvin, I'm buying from Argonaut. You get the extra money from the order to make things right. But you failed and try to disappear. read more

All sales, NO service. When I originally ordered my windows 10 weeks ago, I had double checked the write up and found multiple errors in the purchase order. Luckily, I was able to have it corrected. Fast forward 10 weeks and the manufacturer 'somehow forgot' to load 2 of the 3 windows I ordered. Yet their system was telling my contractor it was on the truck, until it wasn't! When I called my salesperson (he who shall be named later) to follow up on where my windows were, he said, 'That's not good...' I should really bump up the rating based on the amount of empathy expressed! He then said he'd follow up later that day with an update. That was Monday and it's almost Thursday so thanks, no thanks? Bottom line is these guys are just coin operators taking your money. They're basically holding you hostage after you order and place the deposit. There is no recourse for you as a buyer if they don't perform. Now I am crossing my fingers that don't do a p*** poor job with the install. Stay tuned, another review could be coming... read more

Quality of the windows is excellent. The service staff responsive in preparing the quote and coordinating delivery. You will want to be aware -- though the Argonaut staff take precise measurements on the windows, you may be ordering standard sized windows that do not fit the existing window openings if you're doing a remodel. We made this mistake and ended up paying the price to the contractor who had to modify the window openings during installation. read more

They have an awesome showroom and carry many different manufacturers. Steve listened to my needs/concerns and then helped me pick out the perfect windows for my project. I ended up choosing Milgard Fiberglass Ultra Series. My main concern was the window which was going to be in the shower. I really didn't want an operable window because I knew it would get wet and that would lead to problems down the line. But by doing this I wouldn't have any ventilation. Steered us towards their La Cantina door and window when we described what we wanted, but ended up with incorrect products after waiting 6 months for them to arrive. Really wish we had ordered from a sales rep who could have understood our design ask accurately and respond to our requests to get the right thing ordered correctly. Each time we called or emailed it took them over 2 weeks to respond both when we ordered and after we had received the product to try and remedy the situation while on a tight constructions schedule. When I tried to reconcile the issue they sent me a very small amount to try and appease my frustration.
