It had a flat front tire, and we were honestly expecting bad news--Mark let us know up front that fixing these tires is incredibly tough (hands-hurt-for-a-week tough), and that most places wouldn't even attempt it. But instead of turning us away, Mark chose to take the time to really look at it. He spent about 20 minutes diagnosing the issue, repositioning the tube, doing some hands-on maintenance, and even using Fix-a-Flat to test if it would hold air. It worked! He didn't have to do any of this--and he didn't charge a dime. Watching someone take this kind of care, especially for someone who could've easily been overlooked, meant the world. I literally went as I shredded the brake bumps at Beacon. The brake works as it's supposed to, the dropper is "snappy." The was in the shock. Josh diagnosed that it was literally assembled and reassembled I correctly somewhere in the manufacturing process. The bike is only a few years old, and I've been held up by injuries. The staff is all friendly and helpful and will be able to direct you where you're going. The parking lot is also awkward to get in and out of, and also awkwardly located in relation to the main entrance. But any REI is a good REI and I'm glad this place is here.
