Second visit last night. It had been two years since the last visit. Coincidentally, we also visited on a Sunday last time too. We had been by two other times but they were very very busy and could not accommodate. Our first visit was a brunch menu. Excellent. This time we were in for the Wood Fired Pizza. Our friends from Cherry Street were having a Tap Takeover too. We ordered the Boss Hogg. It was amazing. Spicy, Meaty with Goat Cheese. Paired with Creature Comforts Arcane Thoughts. It hit the spot. I ordered the Angry Chair Untitled Arts collaboration. Boozy Coffee Chocolate Stout. Our server suggested the blondie brownie. It was amazing. The food and beer pairings are outstanding here. This is probably 3.5 stars. Stopped by here for a quick bite before an event. Parking is available behind the restaurant. It was a busy Saturday night and I lucked into several parks being available. Inside the restaurant has a nice ambiance and decor. I was not impressed by the menu, it was rather small. They mainly just have burgers, pizza, and wings. I opted for the burger. It was pretty good though. The fries were the best thing. They give you option of many different dipping sauces. I had the parm ranch and it was amazing! Service was just average. It wasn't too slow but waiter didn't seem super attentive. Overall decent restaurant if you want a quick bite and just want burger, pizza or wings. read more

We were too hungry so we ordered some fries with wasabi mayo and curry ketchup. We also ordered some wings. The wings were meh and left more to be desired. The fries by themselves were nothing special. The wasabi mayo wasn't too spicy but it was good. The curry ketchup was pretty decent as well. I felt the kombucha was over priced and didn't have much taste to it at all. A little bit disappointed as I was thinking it was on tap. Argosy is a great restaurant to visit when you want a great burger or wood-fire pizza in a casual, yet elevated setting. FOOD: The food is pretty good -- a step above what you would expect of bar food. The pizzas and fries were particularly good -- and it was fun trying different dipping sauces! Two people in our group ordered the same burgers, cooked to the same temperature (medium) -- one came out closer to rare-plus, the other was more medium-well. The rare-looking one we sent back, as we weren't sure about it, but the restaurant handled it well. The hot chicken sandwich was also good -- not Nashville hot like you'd maybe expect, but more of a mild spice rub. SERVICE: While we appreciated how they handled the burger preparation issue, the rest of our service was pretty lacking. It was a busy night, but our server never returned for another round of drinks or water refill, and we had to track down someone else to get silverware. AMBIANCE: The restaurant is beautiful, and the vibe is energetic. It was fun, but LOUD where we were seated near the front with the live DJ. Once he started his set, it was impossible for us to hear one another across the table. Not sure if it's always like this in Friday nights, but worth knowing if you're trying to catch up with friends over dinner as opposed to going for the bar scene. A nice restaurant with interesting decor and a cool vibe in EAV. The food is pretty good, and the local beer is better. I've been a couple of times, and the quality of service varies. The 1st time I went, I thought my date was going to run off with the server,their bromance was immediate. He gave a ton of great recs for beer and cool conversation. We never had to look for him. The second time wasn't as good. I was constantly looking for the server. She seemed to be rushing us. It wasn't the same. The 1st time I went, the wings and Mac and cheese were amazing. The 2nd time the greens were bussin (I am very picky about my greens), buy the wings were not that good and the burger bun was dry. I'd definitely go back because Mt 1st time was great, but we will see after the 3rd visit what the real verdict is. read more

I finally checked this place out with a friend after work. I was told to come here for the pizza but the oven was under construction. Bummer. The moody lighting and nautical theme was great. The open patio area is awesome too but I sat in a booth since the weather wasn't warm enough for me. Parking is tight, considering how much room the actual restaurant takes up. But street parking is also an option. I ordered the wings, they come with a soy blue cheese. This is the first time I've even seen this on a menu. I also tried the fries (yum yum and ranch dipping sauce .50 each), meatloaf, mash potatoes (tell them to put the gravy on the side), asparagus, and a sweet Manhattan. All were tasty so I would recommend coming here with large groups of coworkers, friends, and family but not kids. Everything we ordered was fresh & you can just really taste the quality of the ingredients. This was my first time trying tofu & it was amazing. The only disappointment was the desserts. They only offer two & we ordered both, just to try & it was very bland. The apple pie was decent & the ice cream that came with it was good but the brownie tasted like flan but if that flan had zero caramel sauce. Argosy is a solid late night option if you're looking for a lively atmosphere. The restaurant is appropriate for couples and group dining. There's private space on the back and plenty of seating outside and inside. They also have games you can borrow and play while you're eating. I ordered the Butcher Block with duck prosciutto. The duck was a $5 upcharge. I would skip it given how small the portion was you can see in my picture. That being said it was delicious and the pizza itself was large enough for two people. The Cobb with smoked salmon is also pictured. Good portion. Nothing exciting. I did enjoy the Pink Susie cocktail which is more citrus than sweet. Like other reviews have said this is more of a scene to be at then a great dining experience. But the service is good. Food is fine. And the crowd is fun. read more

My boyfriend and I have been to argosy a few times since we like hanging around EAV. We went after a movie on Friday night and got quick service and no wait for a table. The menu has a variety of things (from sandwiches to dishes to pizza) and a lot of vegetarian options. They also have nice cocktails and a nice craft beer selection on draft. We both got burgers with their fries along with a craft beer on draft. We enjoyed ourselves and the burger was oh so tasty and fixed our burger craving. The fries were good too and have a variety of sauces to choose from. I got the ranch and enjoyed it while my boyfriend got the curry ketchup and enjoyed it with his fries. We'll have to come back another time to try their pizza, as we still haven't tried it yet. We might split a pizza and 1 burger plate so we can get the best of both since their burger and fries are delish. read more

Decent place nearby. We sat outside on the front patio. They have parking, which is a plus in that neighborhood (usually congested). We had the blistered shishito peppers, the Marge pizza, and a couple of beers. Our server was a little slow, forgot what we ordered and honestly seemed "baked"... everything was super salty. I will say that I'm salt sensitive but my guest is mot and agreed the food was over salted. I will go back and try something else though. This is a great date spot I used to go to a lot, but only went for the first time since COVID this weekend. The cocktails were great, and they have a fantastic beer menu. The food was very good but seemed to have less non-pizza options than they used to. It can be a little loud inside and we had to use flashlights to see the menus, but the outside area was brighter, calmer, and plenty warm enough to fully enjoy our meal. read more

This place have a great ambiance and location. I always wanted to try and I did on last Saturday. I loved the vibe of the place and our server was super welcoming. I tried fried tofu and spicy popcorn for appetizers, I liked the spicy popcorn and tofu was decent. For entree pizza was not so good, however hot chicken sandwich was great. I tried making a reservation for 10 people on a Saturday the day of. I was told i had a reservation, but when I showed up, the host said no. Got some drinks which were delicious and strong! We got the hummus with some raw vegetables that was good, not my favorite but good. We also got a pizza, with the "fake meat" And we really enjoyed it. You can't taste it it's not real meat. The service was excellent the weather was perfect and it made for a great night. This is a really cute spot for friends, dates, family. The fries were top tier and so was the parm ranch.. the reason I'm giving 3 stars is the service and the drinks. Three of us ordered mixed drinks which were just a cup of alcohol and one of my friends got a beer which just wasn't good. The service was not the best. Although this is not a pizzeria, it hands down has some of the best pizza in Atlanta! The restaurant is large dummy lit space with a number of high top tables near the bar and then booths and couches covering the rest. Honestly it's pretty hit or miss whenever I go but this last time just especially rubbed me the wrong way. The male server we had was just rude and snappy and honestly getting on my nerves. I asked him if there were any vegetables that I could order with my pizza and he replied in a very rude tone, "we have whatever is on the menu". Which was not what I asked. Argosy is very dimly lit and I have bad eyes so I asked the server because I could not see the menu very well... there were a couple of other times where questions were asked and he was just so snappy.
