    Spicy popcorn
    Nathan D.

Dropped in after a show at abv gallery. We ended up getting a few things and sharing. Food was decent.. we got the spicy popcorn, poutine, and a dip.. to b honest I like the popcorn more than anything else. The other stuff wasn't bad. I guess just not really for me. If I could give another half star I easily would. Service was good and we were seated pretty quickly.

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times since I gathered my notes/pics and actually submitted this review. As we pulled up closer to the restaurant, I was figuring out the parking situation when I noticed they actually have a midsize lot reserved just for restaurant guests--free of charge We walked in, passing by the patio, and were warmly greeted at the entrance. We let them know we were a party of two hoping to sit outside, and they quickly accommodated us. We were handed a couple of menus and started to review all our options. The beer list was serious--super extensive. I needed a few minutes to make a decision. Wifey asked for a Blue Moon, but unfortunately, they didn't have it. While we kept reviewing the menu, our server did mention a special appetizer: pork empanadas. We were intrigued and decided to give them a shot. There were a bunch of hazy IPAs on the list, and the server was great about bringing out a few tasters to help me make a final decision. I ended up going with the New Lord from Magnanimous Brewery, which hit the spot. I also asked about the Nashville hot chicken sandwich--wanted to know how spicy it really was. The server let me know it wasn't too hot, but they could put the sauce on the side, which worked perfectly for me. Wifey went with a combo of southern inspired sides: collard greens and mac & cheese. The greens even came with a cornbread muffin, which was a cool bonus. Our empanadas arrived first--crispy, flavorful, this turned out to be a great recommendation from our server. Not long after, the rest of the food followed. My chicken sandwich had an amazing crunch, and while the hot sauce on the side wasn't particularly spicy, the flavor was solid. The sandwich came with a nice small side salad. Wifey enjoyed her Southern-inspired sides but did mention the collard greens were a bit on the salty side. I asked for a couple more beer samples to decide on round two and ended up going with another New Lord Hazy IPA. As we sat there, we noticed the place was buzzing with activity--it's clearly a popular spot. All in all, we really enjoyed our first visit. Great vibes, solid food, and awesome service. I would suggest sitting on the open patio to do some people watching, as you hang out. Definitely planning to come back and explore more of the menu. Instagram: @whatsthenextmemory

Was in the area, and was starving and passed Argosy. It has always been on my list so I decided to finally eat there, so glad I did. Super cool space, the server was great one of the best smash burgers I've ever had, juicy and flavorful. I will without a doubt be back! You're welcome.

Argosy is a gorgeous restaurant, with a mountain cabin feel. A lot of delicious beer to choose from and I heard their pizza is really good. Service was great. We had the poutine and we loved it.

One of my favorite " dive " bars to go to for pizza and beer. The ambience is great and the food is actually really good

We hit up Argosy late night with zero expectations, especially considering my allergies (gluten, corn, and oats). But let me tell you -- they held it the f** down*. I had this chicken dish in a rich tomato sauce with vegetables, and it was incredible. The flavors were on point, the food came out hot and fresh, and those cocktails? Fire. Even at a time when most places are wrapping up, Argosy was delivering like it was peak dinner hour. Highly recommend -- if they're this good late night, imagine any other time of day. A whole vibe.

Boss hog! Damn Rodger can make a pie! Best pizza I've had all year and I'm not bullshitting because that's my boy!

Good craft beer selection and great pizza. Rodger can hook up that pie. Damn! Best pie I've had in a minute. Better than anticos.

Great spot! The inside is very cool and very spacious. They have a nice combo of inside, outside, and hybrid dining. We enjoyed a delightful cheeseburger and Mac & cheese. Those were the standouts. They have a nice large list of beers, cocktails, and wine. A friendly rainbow flag hangs in the entrance~ thank you!!

Argosy was introduced to me as a real cozy tavern like spot to get some good food and drinks and I think there's some truth to that. Service here is kinda strange. My two buddies and I were seated very isolated from the rest of the patrons and our waitress didn't even introduce herself to us--I literally had to ask what her name was. On top of that, she just straight up seemed like she didn't want to be there. We ended up moving to a different location because we were so siloed so we ended up with a different waitress and it was the same story! Hardly interested in us for some reason. I tried smiling at the staff whenever I'd walk past and never got a smile in return. The beer here is fine, if not flat as seen in the pics I posted. There is a really nice late night deal where you get a free cheese pizza if you order two draft beers.

It was delicious, but it could've not had juices leaking so much? Maybe cheese below and above the meat to try to keep some of the juices off the bun or maybe more bun toasting? The only positive part of the afternoon was being seated a few minutes before our reservation time. After that, everything went downhill. We waited approximately 10 minutes just to receive water, and then another 15 minutes before our server returned to take care of our table. Once we placed our order, the server had to return three separate times to verify what she had written down. We ordered two simple cocktails, yet one arrived as a shot instead of the drink ordered. We sent it back, only to watch the server bring the same drink back out and deliver it to the table behind us. After sitting there for roughly ten minutes, that family correctly informed the server it wasn't theirs. Rather than having a fresh drink prepared, the server simply picked it up, walked around the corner, and attempted to bring the exact same drink back to our table. At that point, we took the drink directly to the bar and requested that it be remade. The food itself was average at best. The mac and cheese was the only item that stood out in a positive way. Unfortunately, we weren't the only table experiencing problems. All three tables surrounding us appeared to be dealing with significant service issues of their own. A restaurant called "Southern Gentleman" should embody hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. Our experience reflected none of those qualities. If you value your time, money, and family dining experience, I would strongly recommend choosing another restaurant in Buckhead. This establishment completely ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant Father's Day dinner.
