However it came down to a not so pleasing experience, there was just too many issues: the lady that was taking our order simply could not understand we wanted two soup for the table even if it cost extra, we had to reiterate 3 times before we just gave up. Then comes the side dishes, they were all pretty blend, it was as if they just marinated the kimchi and daikon on the spot. Next up comes the soup, omg that portion was hilarious, the pot arrived less than half full. Then followed by our bone-in short ribs, the meat was so thin I though we had ordered brisket... the amount of meat and soup was a joke, the quality of side dishes is also not on par with Carrollton location. So glad this location is finally open! It's located next to the Mitsuwa Market and is close to lots of other dining and dessert options. Their kimchi soup is the best I've had in America, yes, even better than famed K-town in the greater LA metro! Side dishes are great, and, the meat isn't cheap cuts. They finally come to Plano!!! I've been to the Carrolton location so I'm so excited when they open new location in Plano. It was such an amazing experience at here. Even though the new place is smaller but it is cozy-looking, great for family dine-out night. The host would seat you right away you step in the door, and you don't have to wait that long for the setup. After ordering, they will serve the side dishes immediately. The staff are all SUPER attentive, they come almost instantly when you need something. The meat quality is awesome, I can't get enough of them. While this is not AYCE, ordering the beef combo for 4 allows a perfect mix of meats with decent portions. You will likely leave here content, but not stuffed. The side dishes are mediocre and mostly consist of the spicy/fermented variety; I wish they had more variety. The only downside is that it's not one of those all you can eat korean bbq, which is fine since I know not all Korean BBQ joints are and that's why I won't knock down a star for that. So... if you go, you get charged separately for each order of meat and you're required to order at least 2 or more plates. Service was great, they really took good care of us. though I'd much prefer Gen Korean BBQ as my usual korean BBQ joint since it's all you can eat and you get a better deal for your money. I guess it just depends on what you're looking for. Some people like me, would rather just pay one price. Overall, good experience. Dined here on a Saturday. We usually go to the Carrollton location and service is top-notch there. We wanted to give this new location a try. FOOD: The meats and sides are good and consistent as the Carrollton location. SERVICE: This is where the 2 locations differ drastically. The servers usually cook our meats for us at the table, however, the servers at this location seem overwhelmed and they weren't very attentive. CLEANLINESS: Our table was not thoroughly cleaned and we had to request for it to be wiped down again. Additionally, there was trash on the floor under our table. To be fair, we dined on a Saturday evening during peak hours, so perhaps they deserve a bit of slack for it. I heard good things about the location in Carrollton, so I was happy to head about this new Korean BBQ restaurant opening in East Plano, sandwiched between the Mitsuwa and Jusgo supermarkets. Don't expect AYCE here; order by the meats or order a combo. My husband got the 2 person beef special (around $60) which included brisket, finger rib, short rib, and bulgogi. The meat is of high quality, our favorites being the finger rib and short rib. Brisket is always good and we started off with that, then followed with the rib meats. We're just not a fan of bulgogi anywhere, and unfortunately that was served last but that's okay. Along with the meats were salad, tofu soup, rice, and a variety of banchan. Corn cheese and scrambled eggs were cooked on the edge of the grill. A staff member was expertly cooking the meats for us. Other staff members routinely checked on us to see if we needed anything. With that, I was impressed with the customer service. Also the restaurant is spic and span. This is probably our favorite KBBQ restaurant in the area so far. read more

Such wonderful service and food you wouldn't even notice that it's not AYCE. The servers walk around and cook your meat to perfection for you. They are so attentive. They provide you with egg and corn cheese on the grill along with the typical bonchon. The quality of the meat and bonchon were far superior compared to the AYCE KBBQ joints we've had. We ordered the beef combo for two with the kimchi soup and we devoured the kimchi soup it was so delicious. The only downside would be that they're a little pricey and the portions might be small for some people but we were left very satisfied. We preferred that over how full and miserable we feel after AYCE. It was a better overall experience since we didn't have to compete with other tables to get our servers attention. I love ari and now there's one over in Plano! Location is right next to the Mitsuwa and the interior is much better than the one in Carrollton since there are more booths. The down side is the vents aren't able to be pulled down on top of the grills to prevent too much smoking. We can lime during the soft opening, so while the staff is still learning we were well taken care of, up until we were finishing up. There was no waiter or waitress to be found.
