But today I ordered galbi (short marinated ribs) and totally impressed for $20 I could get a big plate of galbi, a bowl of steam rice and some side dishes. Hopefully they maintain this price for as long as possible. 10/5 The sides are nothing to write about .. a small plate of jap chae, which tasted soggy and old. Shredded of lettuce and 3 grapes with ranch dressing and 2 pieces of chicken meatballs which didn't taste good. 2/5 But again the star of the meal is the galbi, both great in quantity and quality. I can't find any other restaurant selling galbi for this much money today.. Will be Back read more

Return or not return? Likely return, but... Standard Korean food court fare. Decent, thought not off the charts. Good value for the price. Issue, the male owner, you cannot be packing to go bags, handling dishes, cutlery and then put green onions in the palm of your hands and throw it into people's soups/food. My new favourite Korean place outside of the mecca that is Carrollton's K-Town. The prices here are some of the best in the area for the portion and quality of food. I kept thinking: you know it's authentic when the orders are still handwritten on paper slips, and they're yelling the orders out loud in the kitchen in Korean. Good food but terrible service. The owners advertise 9 pm as closing time but close any time they want. For example today I was there at 6:30 pm and even with people waiting in line, they abruptly closed the place. This is something I have seen multiple times at Tofu House. I like eating off legacy and 75. This has been one of the places that escapes me until today. They are closed Sunday and Wednesday ( I'm free on Sunday and eat around this area.). I finally ate here today and was blown away by the portions. I got the galbi for myself and spicy pork bulgogi for my brother to go. My galbi came with the traditional side dishes like kimchi, glass noodles and fish cake. Everything was delicious. Everything was cooked fresh and my galbi was amazingly hot. I love their short ribs, they are cut small and the perfect serving size. You can eat the combo between two people since it's really a full size soup with a full size entree and rice. The food comes out quickly and is often delivered to your table or called out for pick up. The food is consistently good -- not gourmet mind you -- but great for a food court! With the combo, you can choose which tofu soup you want -- I always go for the seafood! There's open seating so grab a chair at your convenience, but it gets super packed so come early. The food here tasted as good as it gets. We got a 4 level tofu pot and a second level Vegetable tofu, which was mine. Came with fresh, well refrigerated raw eggs to stir in our boiling pots. All the little vegetables and Kimchi samplings were presented in such an elegant way. We also ordered beef Bugogi, hot tea, sizzling rice and a super special green onion and vegetable pancake; which was bc probably 14" around! We were delighted to see small whole fried fish served as an appetizer as well. Stainless steel chopsticks and two different spoons in a cover sanitizer bog at the table. I always have to stop by when I'm in town. I really like this food court and it's my favorite stop for some kimchi soup. The employees are always so friendly and sweet. The KIMCHI BEEF TOFU SOUP is my favorite. I usually get it medium or spicy because the mild is a bit too bland for my liking. I really like the soft tofu with the pieces of beef. The broth is sweet and not fishy. It's definitely one of my favorite soups. I like to eat it with KOREAN BBQ because the meat is tender and sweet and I especially love the sweet onions. The side dishes are always good too and I always want seconds and thirds. The BIBIMBAP is not bad. I really like the perfectly cooked rice with all the different vegetables. I don't really like to add the sauce because it adds a bit of sourness to the dish, but a little bit is good. The meat and egg add such a great flavor and texture to the rice and all the fresh greens. I'm sure I'll be back soon! read more

They're located in the food-court, next to Jusgo supermarket. Fist of all, they really need to keep the environment clean. A lot of flying around in the food court and it was not easy to find a clean table. I ordered non spicy dumpling tofu stew for my daughter, one combination (comes galbi + beef tofu stew) and a spicy cold noodle for me and my husband. Along with the side dishes come 4 different banchan and looked good. Both tofu stew were decent, but I hope that more vegetables like a onion, zucchini, green onion and add eggs. This is the best food court in Plano. There are a lot of choices but I decided to eat at Tofu house. You basically just order your food, get your buzzer, find a table, and they'll bring your food out to you. I ended up getting the soondobu (seafood tofu soup) with the choice of your spicy level. It was sooo delicious! Probably one of the best tofu soup I had. It also comes with three or four different side dishes (Kim chi, glass noodles, and broccoli). I enjoyed the glass noodles. Order at the window and take a seat- minutes later a delightful woman wheels a custom dolly up to your table complete with place settings and your piping hot meal, beautifully prepared and laid out. To make this spot even better, the meat portions in the bento boxes are HUGE! Three adults shared the meat in one bento box and it was plenty for all. Even more exciting, our kids(ages 8,9,10) ask for the bento boxes by name! They love the array of foods in the bento boxes! We did have to order an extra portion of the glass noodles and the bean rice because the kids devoured it and asked more! It was a side portion of the box, so arrived in a smaller portion. You really get your money's worth going to those food courts and Tofu House is one of those places. I ordered the kimchi tofu beef soup along with the condiments (fish, radish, kimchi, cold noodles, apples, pickled cabbages, rice, and eggs) all for $8, can't beat that. For those who are not familiar with food court restaurants. You order your food, then they assign you a number. They either call out your number or have a screen to let you know that your food is ready. The only small complaint is that when your food is ready, they put it on a cart, you have to haul it yourself, AND you have to bring the cart back yourself. I absolutely love tofu soup and this place always satisfies my cravings. They have a delicious mushroom tofu soup (vegetarian). I always get it at the highest spicy level so it comes with jalapeños as well. Hot, spicy, and delicious! The meal doesn't come with as many side dishes as it would at a restaurant, but they still come with a good amount (usually 3 or 4).
