Anyhow, I tried on probably 10 dresses and found so many beautiful options, but unfortunately due to time constraints, I didn't have time to get one of them altered (was only in town for a few hours then heading back to LA & wound up finding another dress elsewhere that was a PERFECT fit with no alterations needed)... all that being said- this place has an AMAZING selection and Taylor was extremely helpful, made me feel like a princess trying on all those dresses! I went there today with my sister helping her to look for Bridal dresses out of the very many places that we've been to they are hands down the BEST! Excellent customer service. Devoted completely to you, will find you a dress that matches your price range as well as a good fit. They want you to get the dress that you want. They are not pushy, snobby, or even try to up sell you on things you don't need or want. They will take their time with you. The place at first glance doesn't look like the place you'd go for a dress or even think really about walking into. But their service is absolutely the best in ALL of San Diego. We went to many stores for prom dresses, many had great dresses, but the service at Aria was by far the best! We purchased my daughters dream prom dress from here and had to get it ordered, unfortunately, the dress was not going to make it in time for prom. They called me a few times to let me know and we decided to look for a second option. We went back in on a Saturday, the store was packed, but the staff took their time to help us find another dress. They pulled many dresses (probably close to 30) and we spent close to 3 hours trying on dresses. Sam (who is spectacular) helped us the entire time. I went to Aria looking for a Kitty Chen wedding dress which no one seemed to have in San Diego, and which ended up looking pretty attack-of-the-killer-doilies meets Renaissance Fair on me. It would have been PERFECT for a Lord of the Rings wedding theme. Alas, that wasn't us, and I was disappointed since I really thought this was THE one. But, who can resist trying on all those foamy wedding cake-looking dresses once you are at the actual store. The girl who was working with me was super helpful (wish I could remember her name..), and she actually brought out the dress which I never would have picked out on my own. I tried it on, and loved it. What I really liked about Aria is that they let you take your time, and you can try on as many dresses as you wish until you find the one. I would give them five stars, but they were pretty bad at returning phone calls, even after you leave a message saying, "Um, so this is the third time I've called, and it's pretty urgent. Sorry if I offended you by saying that dress looked like a wedding cake. But it did. Please call me back?" Oh, and I would recommend going in during the week since weekends can get pretty packed. My experience with Aria Bridal was AWESOME! The sales consultant that helped me find my dream dress was Brittany. I was having some issues with my mother and sister who were there to help me pick the dress out, and Brittany was understanding helpful throughout the entire process. I was definitely not a pleasure to work with but she always made me feel comfortable. She really listened to what I had to say and picked dresses out according to my wishes! My alterations are being done by Abbey and she was very nice while asking what I needed done. My dress came in several weeks before expected and I didn't even have to pay anymore for rush shipping! I would recommend them to any of my friends. Brittany was an AWESOME consultant and hard worker, she was a GEM in the Aria Bridal team! I had so much fun finding my dress! I'm so upset... I purchased a dress from this shop , paid extra to get it faster , paid two or three times what I normally pay to have a dress hemmed and went to pick it up and it's got something all over it! I saw one large spot which appeared to be dripped food of some kind. The woman / owner wiped it with a baby wipe and pretended she couldn't see it! I said I'd come back when it was dry and see if it was gone. When I returned it was dry and had a huge water mark, she did not come out from the back of the store nor did her husband, the other owner greet or address me at all. I was already upset and with my daughter who is getting married and this is my dress for her wedding so I didn't want to upset her and just took my dress and left saying I'll take it to my regular dry cleaner. The man said do you owe anything more for alterations? Like are you crazy!? You're having me take a spotted dress and haven't said a word or offered to rectify the situation at all! I walked out. Fast forward to our regular dry cleaner, there are spots EVERYWHERE! She asked me if a little kid was near the dress! Yes as a matter of fact they babysit their small grandchild in the store !! She said it looks like food and snot! Great thanks for letting a two year old wipe his face all over my dress I paid top dollar for at your crappy store! Never again! Be very wary if you shop here I have to pay to have a brand new dress cleaned and I'm so upset! My dry cleaner literally said I'd be pissed and force them to pay... they wouldn't even admit they could see the spots! How exactly can I deal with that? I cannot rave about this place enough. After searching for my wedding dress at the top San Diego big bridal name shops, I found this place and was pleasantly surprised. They not only had every dress that the bigger places had but they went out of their way to make it perfect for me. I got a dress my heart set on but afterwards I had buyers remorse due to my own indecisiveness, then I went back feeling really guilty and my lady helped me find a perfect dress and allowed me to exchange it even thought they couldn't return the first dress I ordered. A few days after she recommended the designer to me, my best friend (and Maid of Honor) also recommended Maggie Sottero. I scheduled an appointment at Aria Bridal, and tried on six different designs by Maggie Sottero, and knew I had found "the one!" I came back a couple weeks later (by myself), tried it on again to be sure I wasn't just giving in to peer pressure, and I knew it was perfect! After that, I returned several times between alterations and finding dresses for my mother, mother-in-law, and flower girl - they all got their dresses here, too! I had a fairly good experience with Aria Bridal. It wasn't my first choice to find my wedding dress, the location was odd, it was really cramped and hard to look through the dresses. It also seemed pretty disorganized. After going to several other bridal shops, I decided to go to this one. They actually had a ton of great bridal designers and one I was particularly interested in, Sophia Tolli. I had seen one of her dresses online, and when I went in, it was on a mannequin! So I tried it on first, decided that was the one, it fit perfect which made it a lot easier making my decision, and ordered it! They had us pay half then and half when I picked it up. It came in right when they said it would. It came out perfect! The alterations were OK, the bustle in the back looked so gorgeous, (French style? 5 lifts) and I had extra tulle sewn in through the bottom for more volume. Well during the reception, the tulle had all come loose through the front, it was just hanging there and I had no choice but to rip it all out during the wedding! So embarrassing. The bustle ripped too, but that was probably just from someone stepping on the dress and it ripping through the lace. I had it cleaned and preserved through Aria too. All in all, definitely worth checking out. read more

I went to Aria, after a terrible visit to David's Bridal, because of their selection of brand name wedding gowns. Pros: - They have a large selection which is great - they have mirrors positioned so that you can see yourself in every angel (even mirrors in the changing room.) - For the most part the employees were fairly friendly. - They had a couch for the people waiting to sit on. - There wasn't a limit to how many dresses you could try on - The consultants were resourceful using a shawl to literally make a mock back and front to a sleeveless gown to cover my back and chest Cons: - The store is small - The dresses are in an order that doesn't really make sense - The consultants weren't really listening to the styles I preferred and were to busy jumping from one person to the other, I had 3 different people helping me at different times. - They DO NOT allow you to take any pictures - Their open and close times on their website are incorrect - They automatically assume I will get alterations there which after the reviews I WILL NOT be doing Overall the experience was OK, I preferred my David's Bridal consultant Laura but you just can't beat the Variety and quality at Aria's as far as their dresses are concerned. We are going back today to possibly purchase a dress that I selected at our first visit. I will be writing more later as I see how the process continues since I do plan on purchasing my dress from them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE: We went back and purchased my dress. We were able to take pictures once we had agreed to buy it. We even found a bridesmaid dress that was perfect. I would have given them 4 stars for the return trip except that a day or 2 later after having already paid for MY dress I got a call from them saying they under charged me and that when I go in to pick it up in December they will have me pay an additional $100 after I already spent over $1000 there. Also, I think they gave out my personal information to telemarketers. That includes my future in laws address, which is why all indications point to them. Due to this I have been keeping a close eye on my bank account for any mysterious charges. We will see what happens when I go back to pick up my dress in December hopefully it is a much better experience. I will keep you up to date. P.S. The staff was not pushy, gave the best service plus they didn't overwhelm you and if you asked they gave an honest opinion. I recently visited this store to find my wedding dress. It was the third store I had visited that day and the service was hands down by far the best. I had an apt that I was super late to and they still took me and were so helpful. I had a small budget and didn't think I was gonna find anything I liked cause of it but Sam was soo awesome. I told her what I had in mind and she got right on it. Everything I tried I liked but there was 'that' one that she brought for me to try that everyone fell in love with. Although it wasn't one that I had thought I would had grabbed she said you never know till you try it on and she was right. I said yes to the dress and I'm so happy!! I highly recommend the Aria Bridal Salon. We bought the Bridal Dress and the Mother of the Groom long dress and we are thrilled. The salon is very big and beautiful with rows and rows of Bridal Dresses plus rows of the "Mother" dresses. I had looked everywhere and walked into Aria and breathed a sigh of relief. I was there when the prom dresses and customers were in abundance AND still the sales consultants took plenty of time with me and treated me like a queen. Abby is a Miracle. We went to over 7 places to get my bridesmaid dresses and Aria Bridal have the best dresses to pick from. The most elegant ones, you do not see in every day weddings. I had to switch bridesmaids and they were able to rush the second bridesmaid dress and had no problems with the dress coming in late or anything (and I was worried because it was our fault we needed a rush on it). It is sad how most of the posts are of people mad, but let me tell you I have dealt with Alfred Angelo and Davids Bridal and Aria is by far the most comforting and best place to go. Aria bridal cares because they make you feel like they are there to make you happy. Alterations is amazing. Abbey is the one who does the alterations and she is the best at what she does. She listens to what you want, and gives you an appointment all to your own (not like the other places). I had a dress that was horrible and the place where I bought it would not help me, so I took it to Abbey and she knew exactly what to do and fit it perfectly! I will be coming back here for all dresses I may need, knowing that I am in good hands. Give them a try! Sometimes things happen that is out of their control but the experience I had was amazing. I gave some pictures of ideas of the styles of gowns I wanted.the girls pulled some gowns for me to try on and they new what they were doing. Every dress they pulled was what I had visioned. I have mixed feeling for this store. The store seems only caring about making money from you instead of you. The gowns and accessories are pricy but everything is still great before you pay the bill: the assistants are sweet and the Korean store owner is nice. They will say anything to assure you that you are a princess in the right dress. Once you sign your credit card, you will get totally different experience. Sale is final, which might make sense to a gown but you cannot even change a veil! The alternation fee is extra and expensive. And the clerk starts getting rude as well. So don't go to the store until you have no other choice and don't pay until you are 100% sure. read more

I would like to begin my review by saying I did find my dream dress at Aria. Now, the service was another story. I felt that I was not given the same attention as other brides because I am not a 25 year old getting married for the first time. The girl that helped me seemed impatient and wasn't showing me what I was telling her I wanted. I think she assumed that since I'm in my 40s I wasn't interested in a high end fashionable dress. My sister did most of the selecting and pulled more gorgeous dresses than the sales associate even tried to offer. I did end up finding my dream dress, but not with the help of Arias staff. Hay Hay Hay! This place is awesome! The women who work here are very sweet and helpful and I found a great dress in about an hour. There is a stage that's sort of "where everyone can see you" (as one reviewer mentioned) but if you're going to be getting married, everyone's going to be seeing you, so I didn't understand what the big deal was. If a dress looked bad enough in the dressing room that I would not dare to get on a two foot platform in front of the one other shopper in the store, I didn't leave the dressing room. The girl who helped me the day I originally tried the dress on and Brittany (?) who helped me when I went back two days later for a last minute try-on and ordering the dress were both really nice. They had a large selection and the ambiance was a LITTLE run down, but it's Escondido, not Saks. Perhaps because I wasn't hoping for a glass of Dom and a red velvet fainting couch for my Moms to sit on while they waited for me, I wasn't disappointed. Because of the alterations price hike warnings I've seen on here, I am taking it to a different shop for alterations but all in all, I would definitely check here if you're looking for your wedding dress. (Just drink your champagne before you leave the house.) p.s. it's a bit hard to find if you're wandering through the mall to get to it. It's actually accessible from the street. First and foremost, DO NOT HAVE YOUR DRESS ALTERED HERE!!!! I purchased my wedding dress here. My entire family lives in Philadelphia, where the wedding took place, and I currently live in Carlsbad. When my family was visiting for Christmas, we went to look for my wedding dress. The young lady who helped me was awesome and I actually choose the dress that she picked for me based on what I told her I wanted (wish I could remember her name). I loved it, except the top was straight across, and I wanted a sweetheart neckline. Another woman, who I think was the owner, was there when I said I wanted the sweetheart neckline. She assured me they could do that for about $35.00. I purchased the dress, it was a little bit over what I wanted to spend but believing that the alterations would be around $100, I figured it would be ok. A couple weeks later when my dress was in, I went and met with Abby to do my alterations. The dress fit fine. The only alterations needed were the bustle and the sweetheart neckline. As to the sweetheart neckline, she pretty much just pinned and scrunched the center. I had to pay before I left. The total was $240!! ($140 for the bustle, $75 for the neckline and $25 for cups added to the top) On a side note, I have never had any alterations done to a dress so I had no idea what to expect, I trusted that they knew what they were doing. I also just assumed that paying $240 for alterations was average. Four weeks later I went to pick up my dress. After putting it on I really wasn't fond of the "sweetheart neckline" but I thought that maybe that was all they could do AND I had already spent $240 on alterations and really didn't want to spend another dollar at this place. She assured me it fit fine and left me to change so she could show me how to do the bustle, as I was by myself at the shop. I changed and was waiting for her in the dressing room, after 15 minutes had passed and she never came back, I went out to the front with my dress and she was on the phone and had forgotten about me. I asked her how to do the bustle so I could take my dress and be on my way. At this point, I was annoyed/confused and just wanted to take my dress home for a second opinion. After trying the dress on for a friend, it was confirmed that the neckline was very poorly done. It was basically just a thread scrunching the center. It looked awful, but I wasn't even sure how to fix it. I didn't even want to take it back to Aria, because I didn't want to have to pay anything more to them nor have them just tell me "how great it looks". So, I found a place to do alterations closer to my house. This tailor took out the padding in the top because that really looked awful too, it was was too much for my small chest. It helped. She told me she also had to fix the bustle as the strings were coming undone from the dress. This lady only changed me $25 to fix Aria's work of nearly $170. Next, I was heading to Philadelphia the week before my wedding. I had to travel so we took my dress to my mother's seamstress to have the dress steamed. She asked me to try the dress on, so I did. She looked horrified and asked what was wrong with the top. I explained how I wanted the sweetheart neckline. And then she said "I wouldn't let my daughter walk down the aisle with her dress like that and I'm not going to let you either." This was 4 days before the wedding. She immediately started cutting out the 2 threads that Aria had put in for the "Sweetheart neckline". She completely re-did the top into the sweetheart neckline that I had wanted from the get-go! She also had to fix the bustle, as the strings were a satin type and she said they probably would hold while I was dancing. She replaced the 3 bustle strings that Aria did AND had to add another 5 to the dress. She was horrified at what Aria had done to my dress and that they had charged me $240. She fixed everything in a day. It was perfect and it was more than Aria had done in 4 weeks. She charged $60.00 for all of this. That day, my mom called the shop as she was also furious. She had paid for the dress for me as my wedding gift and this was the first time she was seeing it on me, aside from the day we purchased it. We really felt that I had been taken advantage of. When she called she spoke with the owner who said they would look into it and call her back on Thursday (2 days later), and she didn't get a call. So, my mom called again on Thursday. They again told her they needed to look into it and get back with her. Never called her. She called again the following Friday (8 days later) and they told her that they tell all customers that "alterations are more expensive here". I was NEVER told such thing. If I was, I would have taken my dress and found another place immediately. They also made some other excuses about things they "told" me. Needless to say, based on the above, DO NOT LET ARIA ALTER YOUR DRESS! read more
