me and my fiance are always looking for new places to eat around the area, saw the ratings and wanted to check it out. went in on a friday, place was filled, so we figure it was worth a shot. Food -- sushi was inexpensive compared to other spots we've gone to in the area, however, quality did show for the price. Avocado was brown when given to me on the roll, and can tell the fish was not too fresh. The fiance got okay sushi, but nothing too spectacular or stood out. Service -- not great at all. Yes, I understand they were busy, but the restaurant is not that big and they only had 2 large parties the whole time we were there. Took a while for us to receive our food, table was sticky when we sat down, and when when we were ready to pay, they just completely forgot about us that we just walked up to their to-go cashier and we paid up front. overall, okay sushi and mediocre service; not a place we are looking to go back to. read more

Absolutely and totally DISAGREE with Ms K from Upland. The guys always, from day 1 have greeted us with a hello. The food is very good and we've tried them all in this general area. Personally I could care less if I get a hi and a wave. They're definitely Not lazy as she indicated and the servers work their butts off. She's entitled to her opinion but got to tell ya... maybe it's HER attidude that is causing her perceived issues. Arigato Sushi rocks! read more

What an unexpected gem! This place used to be a cozier, but since the remodeling it's gotten even nicer. I was surprised to find how fresh the sushi is and the prices are more than fair for what you get. All their appetizers are delicious.. and I would def suggest starting off with some. BEST SALMON I'VE EVER HAD (and I've had a lot). I love sushi, and I've tried many mediocre places, and this is definitely NOT MEDIOCRE SUSHI. It's the kind of place you go out of your way to eat at. I had been going here since theyve opened. Just went back last week and had a horrible experience. I ordered the bento box special and a spicy tuna roll. The tuna had a funny texture, it was really slick. Almost like they added oil to it and it tasted really fatty. I always get extra sumi salad and i could barely eat it because it was so peppery. About an hour later my friend text me and said she wasnt feeling too good after we ate and was using the bathroom. Once she told me that my stomach wasnt doing too well either. The one thing we both had the same was the spicy tuna. So with that being said, take a trip further up foothill to vineyard and go to Yatai instead! everything there is amazing! I've eaten from this place before but never have been here myself. For the first time in a cold day I decide to head there for some take out and miso soup. There is a guy in the register counting money and the same guy decides to grab ingredients with his same dirty money hands to pour into my soup. Awful! Nasty! So Disrespectful that I even felt discrimination. I paid for the soup and leave but not one person said thanks or anything. I actually thanked a chef by the exit and he ignored me. I don't say anything not acted up after what I saw. I headed home and put all my faith that nothing would happen. Best head out somewhere else. read more

We've been to many sushi restaurants and this is by far our favorite! The baked lobster roll and nachos are delicious! All good quality sushi. Never ordered anything we didn't like. This is our daughters favorite place and she has a list of her favorite items ready to order when she walks in. The sushi was 4 stars, but the friendliness and attentiveness made this place the type of restaurant that makes me want to become a regular! Terrible food. Arigato Sushi used to be really good when they first opened. The past few times I have eaten there, the beef and chicken teriyaki have been very dry and tough - I couldn't even eat it a few days ago. It is the last time I will eat there unless they really improve the food quality. Yuck! read more

Love this place! Great food and great service! The wife and I came here for a quick little date night and were very impressed! We sat at the bar area and got really good service. Anytime my wife even whispered to me what she wanted, the chefs heard and had the waitresses tending to her. We will be coming here more often for sure! Place is way bomb. My sister took me and my girlfriend there for dinner, we sat at the bar, didn't even order the owner (Sean?) just started hitting us with roll after roll. First time here,decided to bring my daughter to get some sushi before going to vons, no one greeted us, we were sitting for a couple minutes before our server with glasses decided to just toss some menus on our table ummm ok Rude?!
