Matcha Mori is located in a somewhat busy plaza; there's a moderate amount of parking available, and I didn't have trouble finding a spot. There is a limited amount of seating and very few outlets for charging, but there is free WiFi and the atmosphere is calm and comfortable. The service was very friendly. My drink came out quickly, and my questions were all answered with good accuracy. The menu focuses on gelato and matcha drinks, and the options are limited but not destitutely so. It was easy to find several appealing items, and I'm sure the same would be true for most. I enjoyed my drink--I do think this spot falls into that larger sphere of aesthetically-focused, slightly overpriced matcha spots that have really exploded in population lately. The drinks were pretty good, but not outstanding, which, for $9-$10 after tax is kind of hard to stomach. Even if the matcha was outstanding, I would have a hard time justifying the price. My family got the dubai chocolate cone with pistachio Gelato and a mochi chocolate covering around it, topped with kataifi (regularly $14!). This is only for the matcha, more specifically the mochi matcha! I'm a sucker for mochi drinks, so I usually will get them and have tried a few places at this point. I would sadly not get the mochi matcha from here again, here are the reasons why:  1) Hard to drink and enjoy the mochi -- The mochi is not pre-portioned and there's a lot, so it's a struggle to drink it up the straw. After that, I'm not able to taste any matcha or any flavor from the mochi :( The texture of it was good, but a little on the thicker side. 2) Matcha is not worth the price of $9+ for me! This is another one of those matcha/boba shops where you typically don't interact with the baristas and place your order on a kiosk. Don't let the negative reviews scare you away. After coming back multiple times, I feel like I can finally give a fair review. I first came during grand opening and the matcha was amazing. Fresh, nicely whisked, and they use Oatly, which is a huge plus. I noticed a dip in quality toward the end of July. The matcha wasn't as smooth or nicely whisked, but I came back in August to make sure it wasn't just one drink and the quality was back to normal. Probably just a temporary consistency issue. One of my favorite things about Matcha Mori is that the menu is CONSTANTLY changing. Every time I come back there's something new: viral cakes, sandwiches, affogato, drinks, gelato, etc. I always see these things online and wonder if they're actually worth the hype, so I love being able to try them here. Mango Mousse Cake 10/10 Actually lives up to the hype. Refreshing, crunchy, and not overly sweet. Some mousse cakes are so rich I can't finish them, but this one was light enough to easily finish. The mango exterior is also super vibrant and realistic. Dubai Chewy Cookie Ice Cream 9/10 EAT IT FRESH. The first time, the marshmallow exterior was super soft and stretchy. The second time I let it sit too long and it hardened, so I understand some of the reviews. It's pricey, but the cone and scoop are HUGE. Their gelato portions are noticeably larger than Matsu Matcha and Matcha Town. Egg Sando 10/10 Lives up to the hype. Creamy, perfectly salty, and the bread is incredibly soft. Purple Rice Pork Floss Mochi Sandwich 9.2/10 I wanted to dislike this because it sounded so weird but it was REALLY good. Huge, filling, chewy, and the savory pork floss works surprisingly well with the purple rice and mochi. Salted Cheese Coffee Latte 10/10 Their coffee is seriously underrated. Super aromatic and the foam is the best part. I'm not a coffee expert, but personally I enjoyed the beans and aroma more than Starbucks, Philz, Peet's and several local coffee shops I've tried. Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie 10/10 One of the BEST things here. They fill it to the brim. Chewy sticky rice + refreshing mango slush + coconut milk is such a good combination. I drank the entire thing to the bottom. Fresh Mango Matcha Latte 9.8/10 Classic, refreshing and solid. You can still taste the matcha without the mango overpowering it. Classic Matcha Latte When made correctly, it's REALLY good. Sweet, grassy, umami and strong. One time mine was bitter and less smooth, but I tried it again later and it was great. Their biggest issue is probably consistency. Isuzu Milky Mochi Matcha 2.5/10 The one thing I wouldn't recommend, even though all my friends order it The mochi is difficult to sip and comes through in huge chunks. It also makes the matcha taste more bitter to me. PLEASE don't get this with 0% sugar. Bland, overly grassy, bitter, and the mochi can look... questionable Another huge plus is how inclusive the menu is. Vegan-friendly options, dairy alternatives, kid-friendly gelato and non-caffeinated drinks. Great for lactose-intolerant friends or people who don't like matcha. The gelato is also impressive and they sometimes give out samples. Random observation: the baristas are all weirdly handsome/beautiful?? And they're genuinely nice. The café itself is gorgeous with indoor/outdoor seating, upbeat music and sometimes live jazz. The most recent time I came they had live music, discounted mousse cakes AND gave away free gelato cake slices. Even the bathroom is weirdly pretty LOL. Gorgeous lighting and surprisingly spacious. They also do a LOT of promotions. I've seen free gelato, cake slices, samples and even free drinks. It feels like there's something new happening almost every week. Overall, 4 out of 5 times I've visited have been genuinely good experiences. Some items are definitely better than others and consistency could improve, but the things they do well are REALLY good.
