Aritzia both has its negatives and positives as a clothing store. Positives: Their clothes are so cute/high quality. They really have top quality and very fashionable clothing for their customers. Whether it's the thick material of their tank tops or their stylish and iconic Melina pants, Aritzia is the perfect place to shop if you are looking for fashionable clothes. They also have sizes that fit me perfectly, which is nice since I'm a very small woman. They have 00 pants and XXS sizes which are great for me. The length of the pants are also great as I am just under 5 feet. Their bags are also very cute as well! Negatives: I did not have the greatest experience with their service. I understand that their staff work on commission and are trying their hardest to be nice, but for some reason it feels anything but genuine from a customers POV. Sometimes I walk in and feel out of place if I'm not wearing a typical/high fashion outfit. One time I was trying on clothes in their fitting room. They repeatedly asked me how I was doing, but clearly not in a respectful way. It was more so to hurry me out of the fitting room due to their line. Understanding that I should be respectful of their other customers, I left but it surely deterred me from buying the items I was looking at. I also noticed one of the staff giving me the side eye as the workers most likely discussed outside that I was the customer taking their time in the dressing room. I didn't have a great experience at Aritzia and definitely felt like low priority from their staff. It really deterred me from going back to the store in-person and to stick to online shopping for their clothes. Also, their clothes are very expensive! This review is for one of the associates in store, Emma! I first learned about their personal shopper advisor during their summer sale this year. Given my past purchasing history, they mentioned I had access to their early access clientele discount during Black Friday sale as well (I am incredibly loyal to this brand). Aritzia is definitely on the higher end of fashion (aka can be expensive) but their pieces are elegant, classic, and some really unique that you won't get elsewhere. I don't go shop often but when I do, I spend a substantial amount there for a few reasons- their style is great for someone who isn't tall (I'm only 159 cm/ 5'2), who can be curvy body type, and beige skin tone (aka East Asian). More than half of my wardrobe are from Aritzia now! Their online purchasing and in-store systems aren't really in sync. So I would advise you either try on in store and ask them to help you order a different color or size or you could just order online completely and return items in store with your receipts. I can't see my in-store purchases on my online account's purchasing history- only a store associate or manager can see that. They know their systems can be confusing and I have addressed that upfront too. But know that they are there to help you! I definitely am a diehard fan of this brand. read more

Love the clothes BUT you have to be very skinny for them to look good on. Also I absolutely HATE that the dressing rooms don't have mirrors in them AND that they let men hang out in the fitting room. Hah, so I'm one of those folks shopping here that the sales associates know by appearance-- I spend a LOT here, and everyone is always very sweet and will greet me with a big smile when I walk in. A lot of people complain about the SAs here being snobby or whatever, but honestly, they've got a lot of people to handle and Aritzia is just one of those hip stores where the SAs dress to impress & are knowledgeable about their product, so I think that rubs some people the wrong way. Not the sales associates' fault! Yes, the dressing rooms are strangely laid out. If you want a dressing room with a mirror, you have to have something with a bodysuit but I don't shop for those items often, so I just settle for a regular dressing room. I used to be self conscious about the big mirror and all the people looking, but I tend not to care as much any longer. Part of the reason why they do that is because they want the SAs to come back and check on you, or give you clothing feedback (spoilers, they'll always tell you that you look incredible haha) but I honestly think that it's a pretty nice way to get more customer service because they're always right there asking if you need another size or color. The main clothing lines go something like this: dressy/business casual (select Babaton lines & Wilfred/Wilfred Free,) party time (select Babaton lines), sporty (TNA), & chic casual (select Wilfred lines, Little Moon, and Sunday Best.) I buy the most from Wilfred, simply because their stuff is so versatile, but TNA's hoodies (Perfect hoodie & cropped) are unrivaled. The Cocoon coat from Wilfred is a must-buy, even in the midst of sunny SoCal-- it's probably one of the dressiest and most impressive pieces I have in my closet. Probably 50% of my closet is Aritzia, and for good reason-- their clothes are genuinely good quality. My only complaint is that most dresses do not come with a liner, and for a more expensive clothing store, that's a major oversight-- and charging $200 for polyester is always a no-go in my book! Stick with the natural wools, cashmeres, and cottons-- the quality at Aritzia is practically a steal, but always examine the clothes carefully to see if it really is of worth to you. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the store experience I just had at UTC mall in La Jolla. I went into the store at 6:00 pm on 1/3 to look for a size up from the gift I received below. After not seeing the size in store, I tried looking for another item to exchange the gift for. After finding nothing, I wanted to return and put the payment back to the original form of pay. I didn't have a gift receipt at all and they told me they cannot do anything for me unless I track down the email from the gift giver. I received the email and came back later that night. The two store clerks were very unhelpful, unapologetic to my experience, extremely pushy on receiving a gift card, and rude. I felt judged by my appearance and age and therefore looked over as a customer they should take care of. I do not want to shop at this store anymore due to this experience. read more

Cute Canadian Business boutique. Has nice mix of formal work-wear coupled with casual clothes. Really love some of the fall fashions, including Alpaca-blend yarn sweaters & practical black work blazers that will carry longevity in terms of usage. Another plus is that it is dog-friendly! Snickers had a great time visiting the store. In the end I chose a Spicy Red Bell Chili Pepper Dress with a Mock Neck that is perfect for a dinner date tomorrow night. Thanks to Desirey who helped me piece together different outfits & to all the friendly staff. Will definitely be stopping by here on a regular basis! read more

Not my favorite clothing store, but my wife was in love with a coat there. The customer service here goes beyond their products. They were sold out of the coat in store and on-line, but the sales lady quickly checked another store and then they were able to express deliver it to me in time for my wife's birthday. Every single worker was so incredibly rude. The dirty looks and the side eye when I was shopping with my mom. When asking for a dressing room they don't look you in the eye just kind of point to where they want you to go. When I was done 1 item didn't fit so I handed it back and the girl SNATCHED it from my hands and walked away. Lovely clothes and great prices on pieces that are wardrobe staples. However!!!! This particular store has ZERO customer service. I was in to buy two suits (had already picked what I wanted) but needed to try on pants. The red haired lady acted like I was a major inconvenience to her day. When I asked to get room she just put all my selections on a peg outside the dressing area and then vanished. I waited a few mins but then selected my clothes and picked a room. She came running out of nowhere yelling "no self service lady". Well heck. The store open 15 mins ago and there weren't more than 2 customers in store but apparently there was a cue for the room ??? Or you don't want me buying clothes. Because you just left me hanging. I tried on pants and finished up. Went to check out and she started yelling that the jacket I left was her favourite. Really ? Who cares ? It doesn't matter or work for me. I just had a crazy lady experience. Hopefully it isn't always like that. My mind is blown that Aritzia is now open in San Diego. I've had the safari page open on my laptop for weeks trying to decide if I should buy clothes, but it's a great surprise to see this store in person. The store is very clean and open, imagine an upscale forever 21. The sales associate were hard to spot since there wasn't anything that set them apart from customers. Otherwise, I was greeted upon entering, and asked if I needed help looking (big plus in my book as this often determines if I purchase something or not, yes, a bit picky). I was helped by a nice blonde woman whose name i didn't catch (no name tags visible). She was so helpful and made me feel very welcome in the store! The clothes were ok, and you have to hunt down all the discounted pieces (the asian in me has to check). Price range was a bit steep but I knew what I was walking into Came in to specifically check out their TNA and wilfred brands. Overall, I had a great shopping experience here as will come back. One downside is their fitting rooms did NOT have mirrors in them. You have to physically step out in this wide open space and check yourself out in the midst of other customers and employees...so introverts, beware! read more

The girls here are absolute gems!! They are true concierges at helping you find the best fits! I would have never imagined to pair certain things together and they just make it work for me. They also make returns/exchanges so painless and breezy. I consistently come back and invest in pieces here because of a) the quality of the clothing and b) the amazing personal shoppers! They've never made me feel less than, and I've come in at times looking less than polished. If anything, they've made me feel even more like 1mil bucks! They know me by name and they're just the sweetest girls. I wouldn't be intimidated shopping here- it's all in perception and expectation. If you expect a good time, you'll have one. read more

I am writing a review for a clothing store... why? Because I have never walked into a clothing store with such friendly associates in my life. I am shook. I came in today to get some price adjustments from some items I get online last week and also to browse because I didn't even know there was a aritzia store by me!! Anyways as soon as I walked in I was greeted by several employees. I was looking around and a specific associate was helping me find everything I needed- she checked backstock, online, and even offered to help place an order for me for some items I wanted. When I went to the fitting room the girl that was working there was so sweet. She helped me grab correct sizes for some tops and also she gave me her honest opinion on some clothing I was trying on which made the whole experience feel so genuine. I legit haven't been in a clothing store like this before. They have a great variety in the store. Def will be making more trips here vs just online! read more

First, Don't have a UTC sales associate (unless the person is a Senior Store Manager) check and order clothing article from another store or central inventory even though the sales associate declared that the article is available for home delivery shipment though the quantity available is below 5. Second, Aritzia employee who is tasked to pick, pack and ship the clothing article from inventory or other store is either color blind or failed to read the purchase order; my daughter did not receive her original Babaton Guell Sweater cream color; instead she received a black long sleeve blouse. Third, Though I was able process my refund today at the UTC store in San Diego, the two sales associates were not thorough in the refund process. They failed to read the Conceirge email to include shipping as refund. Only when I presented the printed receipt, did they acknowledge their omission. So there were two transactions: one for the sweater and the other for the shipping cost. Let buyer beware. In the end my daughter decided to go elsewhere for her wardrobe shopping. read more

I go here with my friend and right of the bat, the workers only seem to talk to you if you're either "in-style", skinny, or not Asian (which I am). It's understandable if it is busy, but you could tell who they would rather ask to help. I have yet to encounter a worker to ask me if I need help and I have been here several times already. When walking around, the workers give off an unpleasant and unwelcoming aura. I feel uncomfortable because I can sense the workers glaring at me. Clothes have a great style; however, they do not value customer loyalty at all. Came in to exchange one item less than 10% of the total cost of a $1000 transaction (a birthday present). Yes it was after their return period, but not by much. And we did not even want money back, we just wanted a bigger size (i.e. a cost neutral transaction for the store). The store manager Kenesha, was not helpful at all, did not even attempt to keep us as customers, or use her discretion to figure out a solution to keep us happy. Unless you are a size 00-0 don't step foot in this place. I'm a 4 and everything didn't fit and I tried many different sizes. I was so excited to try on a bunch of work clothes and everything was tight even when sizing up because it's that stretchy material on most items. The women working were not helpful. And the dressing rooms do not have their own mirror so you have to walk out in the middle of the room to find a mirror and girls boyfriends sitting on the couches in the dressing room. So if something fIts tight or short or not zipped in the back you feel uncomfortable with men sitting in the dressing room. The sales associate stuck her head all the way in my dressing room and made eye contact with me to bring me another size pant while I was completely in a thong and bra. That's never happened to me in a store ever. So many problems with this place even though it looks clean and cute from the outside. So many better stores in UTC and you don't have to feel uncomfortable. read more

here at this aritzia i've had nothing but good experiences customer service size but today i went to try on a dress i've been wanting and couldn't find it. i asked addie t (i hope that's how you spell her name ahhh) and she was able to direct me to the dress and she even told me if i needed help with anything while in the dressing rooms i could ask. while i was in there i asked the ladies in the room which size looked best and they gave their opinions and were super sweet (i didn't get their names but i wish i did). addie followed up with me after the dressing rooms and even brought my dress up to the front take the security tag off so it would be ready to purchase. thank you to everyone who was super sweet!! read more

Beautiful clothes, but some of the girls who work here are so rude and unfriendly. Honestly makes me not want to come in to shop and have to face this type of customer service. Don't get me wrong, a few girls there are nice and helpful, but in particular, the small Asian girl at the register has literally rolled her eyes at me when she had to "help" me with my return. I was SO uncomfortable, and it makes shopping there so awkward for me that I may have to shop online now. i was so offended that i went in unwelcomed and given looks. they made me feel out of place from throwing me looks and whispering. i went to buy a sweater and as i was checking out the cashier packing my clothes turned around and bent under the table and snuck a hand sanitizer a whole hand sanitizer bottle in between my sweater. i only noticed when i walked out of the store checking my receipt that a whole hand sanitizer bottle a quarter used was tossed into my bag as well. when i came to confront the staff they denied accountability and said they said their stores do not carry the brand. keep in mind i ONLY went to aritiza and there was no other way another store dropped a sanitizer inbetween my purchase. keep in mind that i am an asian woman that was thrown stares at while my time in the store. they were very hurried and were very pushy about the fitting room. if i could give them 0 stars i would because that was unbelievable that was not on purpose and i will NEVER shop there again because of how poor treatment and passive aggressiveness while my time in this store. read more
