I had a big box store out to give me a quote..which was high and the company had bad ratings when I checked. So I went online on a Saturday evening and choose several companies with good ratings. I email both. Very late Sat evening Darrin with Az Air Experts emailed me back with a few questions. I answered him Sunday morning saying it was not an emergency as we had another unit in the other part of the home. He asked if he could come out that day Sunday to take a look. He arrived on time and after looking at our unit suggested we didn't need a whole new AC/Heating unit just a coil and condenser. He also asked if he could have his tech come out on Monday since he had recently gotten out of the hospital and didn't want to crawl around the attic...understandable. Abraham came out Monday morning and looked at our existing unit which was leaking oil. After explaining our situation and what our options were ( I know enough to be dangerous) he left. Darrin sent us a quote for whole new unit, (not recommended) and for new coil and condenser. Still not hearing from the other company we emailed on Saturday and having one other box store out, who completely mislead us and had a total lack of knowledge of his product ( I had more after reading the Mfg website than he did) we dismissed him Arizona Air Experts installed our new unit and we could not be happier. We have a 10 year warranty on everything they did, and Dave and Abraham could not be nicer, neater or more knowledgeable techs. As they were finishing the install up, Darrin came by, checked everything over had them add a few items ( new electric disconnect and whip). We discussed the new unit which is much quieter than our old Carrier ever was. We were explained the warranty, left the manuals, said we would be called in April for a check up and again next fall, at no cost. We could not be happier with our new American Standard AC or with Arizona Air Experts handling of the whole situation, from initial EMail contact to follow up , advice and quote. They were totally professional and honest. I feel confident in recommending them to anyone who needs HVAC work. We will be using them again when the needs arise. After living in the Phoenix valley for the last fifteen years and using another air conditioning, heating and plumbing service for my needs, I heard from a neighbor about Arizona Air and in particular, Randy Morris. After one of my AC units failed I contacted my original service company and got a bit of runaround and a very steep repair estimate on my relatively new system. I called Arizona Air on Tuesday and they sent a tech out the same day and diagnosed the problem and followed up with a repair bid and located the necessary parts that afternoon, which was at a fraction the cost of my original service company. Just used AZ Air Experts to replace a worn out contractor grade 4 ton split AC unit with a single stage 14 SEER American Standard unit. One of the owners, Darrin, came to the house to do the assessment and his expert advice was appreciated. No upsale as there is no commission involved. You are dealing directly with the owners. We are snowbirds and the 14 SEER single stage system was the correct balance of efficiency, install cost and full cycle operating cost. One of the other owners, Randy, and one of his staff did the install very professionally. Everything was tarped and protected and they managed a very tight install access in our 14 foot ceiling. Everything is working as advertised and the 10 year parts and labor warranty, including refrigerant will give us peace of mind on maintaining this unit for years to come. I am an engineer with some refrigeration experience and did a fair amount of research before choosing both AZ Air Experts and American Standard. These guys are the real deal! Darren and Randy really know their stuff and are very polite and professional. They came out right away when my A/C quit blowing cold air. After investigating the entire system both inside and out, they found a small leak in the air handler coil in the attic. They gave me a few options on estimates for an entire new unit or just a new coil (which they recommended and I went with). Since they understand air flow and how to better organize duct runs, they also moved a few runs and made some minor upgrades which made major differences, and all for a minimal price. This is work that any other company would have ignored or charged way too high of a price to complete. Since completion of the work, they have even came back out just to make sure my system and the new coil was holding charge. Again, no other company would go out of their way to do this. I recently had a problem with my heat pump. It wouldn't heat! I called AZAIR and talked with Maria. She told me she would check with Randy and find out when he could come. She called me back and let me know when I could expect a visit. It wasn't one of those "sometime between noon and 8 pm" kind of promises. Randy came and chatted with me about my problem. He then went up and checked my unit. After a short time he came down and gave me the bad news. I had a massive leak in my evap. coil. Non-repairable. He gave me a quote on replacing the unit which was not what I wanted to hear but thoroughly explained the work needed. I gave him the go-ahead and within a few minutes he had a written proposal for me and had the crane coming in two days. They were here on time. Prepared the roof, cleaned and resealed it. I called this company for an inspection on the recommendation of my neighbor after they fixed her problem for $190 when after the previous company she called was going to charge her $9,000! Randy came and checked out my unit and after a little cleaning said everything was fine. The next day my mother had another company out to check her unit and they said she was going to need a new unit because she had illegal freon and they couldn't replace that. Long story short....they talked into buying a $6,000 new a/c. I thought there was something hinky going on so I called called Randy. He offered to come and check out my mom's a/c at no charge....everything was running well AND she was not short of freon. I called Arizona Air Experts to perform the seasonal check on our main AC unit and mini split unit. The company we had been using for several years wasn't doing a thorough inspection, did not clean the unit coils and left no detail on status of units except to say they were fine. After researching reviews, I thought I would give AZ Air Experts a try. AZ Air Experts performed a very detailed check on the units including: filters, compressor, capacitors, refrigerant, condenser line, electrical connections, pressure and temps. Our upstairs air went out early on a Sunday morning. Not knowing who to call we ended up having a different company come out first.
