Wow! Surprised how great this place was. This is my first BMW. I have heard when things go wrong it is expensive. There were multiple symptoms to my car and it had puzzled multiple mechanics. SYMPTOMS: Dash light not liighting up High beam lights not turning on Front windows won't roll down Windshield Wipers not working I shared these over the phone with Arizona Bimmer and the guy on the phone said "I can't be sure but is sounds like the foot module." He said he had a guy who rebuilds them for $600 or a new one would be $1100. I called another mechanic, "Benz and Bimmer" didn't want to suggest anything, but when I asked about the foot module he quoted me $1300 So I took it to Arizona Bimmer and they called me 4 hours later charged me only $520 instead of $600 and my car was back up and running. But later I noticed the windshield wipers still didn't work, so I took it back the next day. They found it was just a fuse, so they just fixed that and didn't charge me because it was soooo easy. I love this place now and it'll be my go to for all things BMW! read more

I took my 2011 BMW X5 to them. As it was having continuous check engine light issues. I wish I had taken it to them the first time around when I started having issues. As the local Mechanic in town. Not only couldn't fix the issues but had broken some parts which we didn't know about. Well lesson learnt for sure for the future. Always take German cars to the correct Mechanics. They did take care of the issues. Sent me a email first with all the pictures of broken parts. Computer scans etc. And the price and only after I said yes. Performed work on the car. I am pretty happy with my first experience at ABMW. Firstly, they quoted me a job over the phone and were just a little cheaper than a reputable competitor. I made an appointment and had the work done. There were no delays and the car was ready when they said it would be. They not only did the job right, but inspected my car for other issues. I can't underscore enough how positive my first visit went. I have an obscure BMW Activehybrid car. They were up front with letting me know that it could be a learning experience for all involved. I appreciated their honesty because no one is an expert at this car -- not even the dealerships. They spent a considerable amount of time researching my issue and trying multiple resets as it's very difficult to work on the hybrids. Other shops would have charged me for the extra hours spent, but they did not. I was out the door with no markup on my aux battery as well as only the original 0.5 hours quoted charged to my card. Though they are 20 minutes from my home, they will get all of my future business. The shop near me had quoted 3 hours of labor for the same job and had considerably marked up the aux battery cost on their estimate! This didn't sound right so I called all of the local BMW repair shops around downtown/mid-town Phoenix. They all quoted either at the same price point or just a little less. This is when I branched out to calling Tempe and Mesa shops. Before finding this shop, there was only one shop in Tempe who came close with no markup on the battery but wanted an hour for labor. Long story short, if you own a BMW and you live anywhere in the Phoenix metropolitan area, this is your shop! Even taking a Lyft to/from the other side of the valley is far cheaper than going to a repair shop that will upcharge you on everything. read more

I had been to a "competitor" mechanic shop multiple times and just did not feel confident in what they were recommending. After a quick search, I was happy to find mechanics at AZ B.M.W. that know what they're doing. The first time I called, James was gracious enough to walk me through my options for over 20 minutes, making sure we both understood what all could be wrong. I dropped my car off and the next day received via text a report with 63 images and a detailed list of low, medium, and high priority problems and potential costs. I had only known of one issue previously. Also, they told me that the previous mechanics appeared to have emptied one of my fluids, so they filled it up for free. I have never received such detailed, quality, low-stress service before. I highly recommend you take your BMW here if you can. This was the best experience I've ever had at a mechanic shop. They were the most helpful people I've ever met, explained so much about my car that I never knew and did an awesome job. My 750Li was having several issues and had a check engine light, I took it to the Chapman BMW dealership and they quoted by $16,000 of repairs... I am not joking. $16,000 dollars worth of repairs. I needed to pass emissions and get the car running smooth. I paid $150 dollars with James and I passed my emissions and my car runs smoother than ever! Thanks to some transmission fluids which needed to be refilled. I would highly recommend these guys by far, best experience ever. The health report on my car was fantastic and SUPER detailed with photos of everything. These guys deserve everyone's business. A+ read more

These guys are the best! I was in (Valley Auto in Mesa,AZ) prior to them and the Valley Auto Shop Mechanic was always doing diagnostic on the car. I spent so much money on the diagnostic fee at almost $550 and he never got to find out what was really wrong with the car. Finally, I towed the car to Arizona Bimmer Motor Werks in Tempe, Az and they replaced the timing chain guide along other stuff with whats wrong with the car. The total time it took for them to find out what was wrong with the car before the actual repair was 2 hours. Don't even gamble with other shops that says they are ASE certified and says that they are qualified to fix and diagnose BMWs, just go to Arizona Bimmer Works where you will get a peace of mind and quality service. read more

I had been doing my research for the last few months on local BMW service shops. My experiences with the few dealerships in town had not been courteous and quite rude. That's when I found this local shop in Mesa. I scheduled my appointment for an oil service and got a few quotes on some minor repairs. The gentleman that helped me was fairly knowledgeable and gave me upfront costs without overselling additional services. Some time that's what we all want, a clean shop with honest people that know what they're talking about. They proactively tested an intermittent issue or faults, and inspected brakes at no charge while the car was in to really make sure the car was good to go. Solid. I have a 2009 BMW 335 and I had to get a variety of repairs; the big ticket item was a failed water pump which made the car undriveable. Got the car towed in there and they got everything fixed up in about 2 days (list of repairs: replaced water pump, air filter, cabin filter, wiper blades, right front grill, rear tail light assembly, and right front halo light; flushed brake fluid; charged the AC freon after running an inspection on the ac). Total price tag was $2,500. No idea if that's a good price because I wasn't able to get a quote from anyone else, but they did solid work. One thing I really liked was that after they had evaluated my car, they texted me a full diagnostic report with everything that was problematic in the car and how much it would cost to repair each item. They went over the report in detail with me and let me know which items I'd probably want to tend to sooner rather than later and which ones could wait (e.g. the car had a minor oil leak which would've been an $800 repair, but they said that wasn't an urgent problem). James was the one helping me and I spoke to Zak briefly; these guys are professionals and very helpful. Also they threw in a free car wash which I forgot to thank them for :) read more

I guess those reviews ARE legit! I brought my car by for simple maintenance work and for a girl as clueless as I am, they could've taken advantage of me big time. Zak , however , was very upfront. He told me there were certain things that could and should be addressed later down the road but def did not shove it down my throat. I think costs are about 20-30% less than the dealership as well. They were particularly busy the day I brought mine (albeit upon opening) so I guess if I HAD to critique one thing is maybe I hoped to be updated on the status of my car a little earlier than I did but it wasn't a major problem. Just had me all antsy is it. Anyways, I totally recommend these guys and plan on driving up from tucson to get work done by them in the next few months. read more

I was looking a shop that would add satellite code to my BMW. No other shop could handle it apparently. Everyone said go to the dealer and spend upwards of $800. Found ABMW though and they did the whole job for $250! James was great help and the the job was done in 45 minutes. All the BMW dealer shops wanted 3 to 4 hours LOL.
