I highly recommend Arizona Pest Squad. Four years ago we moved into a house that was absolutely infested with scorpions. We sealed the house and used Bulwark and then KyKo for pest control which did reduce their numbers but there were still many scorpions finding their way into our house. Then, we started treating our house for scorpions ourselves. We saw an even greater reduction in scorpions, but they were still a problem. I researched pest control companies on Yelp, and based on the positive reviews thought we'd give APS a try. We've been using APS for about 4 months and have seen the largest reduction in scorpions then with any other company we used or when we did the treatments ourselves. David was very customer service oriented and I could not ask for more. I'm selling my house and the inspector said there were bees by my pots in the backyard and needed a professional to look into it. David showed up and since there weren't really any bees, he still sprayed 12 gallons like he said as a precaution which killed any bees, Mosquitos, and other pesty insects as well and he offered to charge me even less since there wasn't a bee problem. That could have been that, but instead the man spent time suggesting alternative people/companies that might be able to help. He even looked up the numbers for me while we were on the phone. He easily could have ended the conversation sooner, but instead took time out of his Sunday to help me. His help did lead us on the right direction. My 90-year old aunt discovered bedbugs in her Mesa townhouse. I called APS. David came out the same day (Sunday) and confirmed YIKES, yes, this is a huge infestation! He went through the steps they would take, offered a very reasonable price and guarantee. I called AZ Pest Squad at 1030 this morning totally freaking out because I had seen two sewer roaches hanging out in my master bathroom in two days. Gross. I called on Monday of this week since we had been seeing spiders in our backyard. I spoke with David, the owner, he was very nice to speak to and even informed me of the promotion on yelp. Compared to other companies where i would have to sign a contract and pay twice that per month, this was a good deal since all I was looking for was a one time spray. I told him what i wanted and he informed me that Melissa would call back with more information and to set up a time for us. She called back and was very great to speak with and scheduled for someone to come out that same week on Friday, altough I was given a time frame between 11 am and 1 pm and the guy didnt get there til about 2, that doesnt take away how professional everyone had been. I get it, its a flourishing business and sometimes things happen and you run late. Thats why you schedule on a day where nothing is happening. :) The service guy showed up (my mother in law was home), she said he was very professional and nice. She watched him spray our house and said he got everything and thought the work that was done for the price we paid was a pretty good deal. The next morning we are already seeing results of dead bugs outside our home. Again, you were all a pleasure to speak with and work with and I would definetly recommend you to family, friends and strangers and will also be contacting you again next time I need my home sprayed. Pest Squad was awesome. We had a horrible ant infestation that was so bad, our out of town company got up and left in the middle of the night because the ants were getting on the bed! So we called Pest Squad the next morning and they came the same day even though it was a Saturday. They spent over an hour checking out the house and yard, explaining to us what the treatment would be, showed us the product and made sure we were comfortable with what they were going to do. We found that they even poured out the dog's water bowl outside and turned it upside down just so the spray wouldn't accidentally get on it. They did the treatment and said it would take care of the problem for the most part and would call in a couple of days for the next treatment. We got up the next morning and even though we know a couple more treatments are scheduled, it really doesn't seem like we need it. The ants are gone!! My house was recently infested with ticks and Arizona Pest Squad was one of the only places open on a Sunday to rush out and help us. We were very satisfied with our service from David who did everything he could to make sure the ticks were dead and gone and that we could be comfortable in our home again as soon as possible. On October 19 2016 I worked a full day of work with no issues. October 20, 2016 I had some family issues I texted David at about midnight telling him what my personal issue was and that more than likely I wouldn't be at work on the 20th of October 2016. I ended up meeting up with David in the Target parking lot on Rittenhouse and Ellsworth to give him the completed route paperwork from October 19 2016 later on that morning, not sure what exact time we met there. When we were there talking he asked how everything was and if I would be able to return to work the following day. I told him yes that no matter what happens that I will be there cause my wife doesn't work on Thursdays. I was told that he (David) would get me the route later that evening. I went about my personal business that day, i arrived at my home at about 1:00pm and fell asleep for the rest of the day/evening. I woke up at 2:00am to missing a handful of calls and text messages from David. One of them stated that he needed to know if i was working tomorrow no matter what time it was that he would be up all night doing something else. so I replied yes david we talked about it earlier in the day that I would be there no matter what. After writing the text I then went back to sleep. I woke up like normal at 5:00am on October 21 2016 jumped in the shower and proceeded to get ready to go to work. Unaware that David had sent me a text message at 3:30am saying that things have changed meet him and his wife amy at their house between 5:45am and 6:00am. David called me again and i answered it to my surprise david started yelling me and I quote "Richard this is David where the fuck are you it's 6:10am me and my wife are standing outside in the fucking cold waiting for you to show up. My wife is fucking pissed off I'm fucking pissed off." I was baffled by what had just transpired I tried to talk and explain myself but David was just yelling over my talking. He made it very clear that his wife is the QP of the company (have to have a QP to own a pest control business so she would be the owner, and what she said goes) Getting upset myself now I asked him what was going on did i miss something or what. He let me know he texted me at 3:27am that things have changed meet me and my wife at his house/office. I explained to him that text messaging at 3am is not a reliable way of communication and that if he would have called me I would have answered and be standing in front of him right now at his house. It was no use I wouldn't get more than a word out before I hear his wife in the background say and I quote her: This is bullshit just fucking fire his ass" not really know what was going on I defended myself asking for what reason were they firing me. None would be given. David and I argued back and forth for about 15 minutes about how the whole time I've been working for him it's been lie after lie and that and how he can't expect to keep employees if u can give him the proper tools needed to do his job. IE: the route for the following day the night before so they can plan out their work day. He laughed and said getting me the route the night before is impossible because he has people calling his house for pest control 24 hours a day and people call him at 2am to add service. So I asked him if he just expected me to keep on waking up between 4 and 5 am and spend a hour or more trying to get ahold of him (david) to get my route or even see if he has put work together for the day. Which a majority of the time he would give me some excuse of why he couldn't get it done and I would be told to just take the day off the month I worked for him this probably happened 6 times. David is still yelling at me at this point he tell me I need to bring the truck and all his property to his house cause I was terminated. I told him that since his wife and he fired me that I am no longer responsible for his truck and equipment. That I would not drive it due to the fact that i didn't want to be liable for anything if something were to happen. David started yelling at me again threatening to call the police on me for "stealing his truck" I politely let him know i didn't want to end up in court for something that I didn't do to his property and I was just trying to cover all my basis. I welcomed him to bring the police to my house with him to pick up his truck and kindly asked him to have my paycheck with him being that the 21st of October was pay day. (A few day earlier he had told me my direct would go in effect until the next pay period and that he would cut me a check.) Don't pay in full until the job is finished! We paid up front (including $90 to cover some eave holes, which David claims below were free), and David never completed the job. I tried for five weeks to get him to cover one open eve - it was the reason we had called Arizona Pest Squad in the first place. He covered all of the other open eaves but suggested that we wait on one (the one he'd have to get on the roof to reach) until we were sure there was no more bird activity. I contacted David once we no longer saw birds and asked him to cover that final hole since that was the one we initially hired him for. SIX TIMES David was scheduled to come out and SIX TIMES he didn't show up and didn't call or text to let us know. I followed up with him six times over five weeks to reschedule until I finally gave up and told him we'd do it ourselves. I received no response or apology. He had gotten his money, so clearly we weren't a priority. LESSON LEARNED: Don't pay until the job is done! read more

I give honest yelp reviews faithfully and I must say that if I could give this company 10 stars I most definitely would. Let me start by saying that the service was fast, very genuine, trustworthy, and very knowledgeable. You don't often find business owners as humble and nice as this one. So after a long night of work, I was expecting to get in my car as normal and go home. As I walk to my car, I notice ants on the parking benches where me and some others parked. I didn't think much of it and proceeded to my car. When I opened my car door ants were everywhere...!!!! I tried killing them with windex and I thought I killed them. I bought a voucher on Deal Chicken and called numerous times to schedule. The frst time I had to leave a message no answer they called back and said they would have the girl in the office call to schedule. She called back a couple of days later and couldn't schedule me at that time for the day I needed. I have a very tight schedule and Tuesday is the only day I am home all day. She said would get back to me which she never called. I called back and finally got it scheduled for Tuesday before Thanksgiving they were a no call no show I called the next day and he said they had a hose break. He said he would come out on Friday and give us the vip treatment because of the mix up. I said that I would have to have my daughter come over since I would be out of town. Again no call no show. I called today Tuesday and to find out what happened and he said their truck broke down and was in the shop. Still doesn't explain why he didn't call to say they couldn't make it. Thats is just common courtesy and good business practice. I told them I was going to ask for a refund from Deal Chicken he got very angry and accused me of yelling at him and hung up on me. I got on the phone and called Deal Chicken and they refunded the money. As I was on the phone with them David called and left me a very snotty message saying he spoke with his business partner they would give me a month free and they were trying to work with me as it had only been a week and they had equipment break down and I was trying to ruin their reputation with Deal Chicken they were going to tell Deal Chicken what they offered me and I wasn't working with them. I wasn't looking for something extra I just wanted what I paid for. The thing is all it would have taken was a PHONE CALL to say they were having equipment problems. I shouldn't be the one that had to call them both times to find out they were having problems. He had two opportunities to call and didn't do it either time. We own a business I understand things happen but you don't leave customers hanging a phone call goes a long ways. I found Arizona Pest Squad on Yelp and was looking for a general service due to my in-laws coming into town. I explained to the staff coming to my house that I do not have issues with bugs on the interior of my house. Further, I explained that we spend a lot of our time in the yard and that was where my concern was. I told him we have had spiders, crickets and beetles emerging. He said with the that if I bought the yelp special, he would be able to take care of all of these issues for just under $80. I agreed and they serviced that day. Over the next week, I continued to see the bugs that I complained of but thought the treatment may need time to work. In addition, fire ants began to emerge. I contacted the company again explaining the issues and the mounds of fire ants that I found and due to spending so much time outdoors, the products I bought myself to immediately take care of them. Arizona Pest Squad said they would be out that day to redo the yard service. They then called and rescheduled for the following early morning. They did arrive, late, while my wife was entertaining her parents and completed the treatment. Within a week, my 3 year old son ran to me crying and I saw fire ants all over his legs. I found 4 large mounds of ants that day and again went to the hardware store to buy more products on my own. Since then, it has been a constant battle, costing me more and more money, for something that was supposed to be taken care of in the first place.
