The booking process was incredibly smooth thanks to Brittany, who was fast, responsive, and made planning easy. On the day of the event, Julie, our on-site coordinator, was wonderful to work with. She was organized, friendly, and ensured everything ran seamlessly. A special thank you to Julie Oakes, Derek Gustine, and Allan Denick-Zielstra. Their positive attitudes, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate our guests truly stood out. They were attentive throughout the event and helped create a welcoming, enjoyable experience for everyone. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the entire event was executed flawlessly. I'm still dreaming about the potato salad and cornbread! We couldn't have asked for a better catering partner and would absolutely use Phil's BBQ Catering again and again for future corporate events. Highly recommend!

We arrived before the lunch rush, placed our orders and waited less than 30 minutes before our sandwiches were ready. I didn't eat breakfast and was already full, half sandwich in, but needed to finish because I didn't want leftovers (I had a long drive home). My co-worker on the other hand stated he could order an another cheesesteak sandwich. The place was small and cozy the seating area had a backyard feel. I even made a comment to my co-worker that there were apartments on the other side of the restaurant fence and who ever lived there could hop over and grab a cheesesteak or pizza. I will be back to try the pizza.

Sure, it's a little on the pricier side, but I don't mind paying more if the quality of the food and ingredients matches the price. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The food had a strange rotten-egg type of smell, lacked flavor, and overall just wasn't what I was expecting based on all the hype. Fast forward a couple of hours after eating, I got home, tried to go to sleep, and ended up feeling extremely sick with what seemed like food poisoning. For $50 for a pizza and cheesesteak, I expected fresh, quality ingredients and a much better experience. Definitely disappointing and unfortunately not somewhere I'd come back to.

I had forgotten how ghost kitchens work, so I didn't order ahead of time. The nasi kuning was good, but there was way too much rice. The same goes for the ayam geprek. They also provided very little sambal, which was quite disappointing. I did enjoy the Teh Kotak, though. Overall, it's a good option if you're really hungry, but I wouldn't come here for the dining experience.

And their customer service has always been on point. I remember one time I ordered through IG or over the phone and there was a mix-up. It's been a while since the Mrs and I grabbed tacos from them since we moved from The Enclave, so I think we're definitely overdue. Also, they're big dog lovers, which is a huge plus for us. They always showed so much love to our black German Shepherd every time we pulled up. Their food is something special...always handled with care and made with obvious love. I really hope we start seeing them around Chula Vista more in the near future. If you're reading this, please support them. They're great people making great food, and it won't hurt your wallet either. Thanks guys! And RIP THOR!!!!
