Ordered delivery here through door dash and it was really mediocre. The garlic knots lacked flavor and the pizza wasn't great. Nothing worth eating again.

Worst pizza in New York State! I called to order delivery and the guy had an attitude, then when to food arrived it was not even fully cooked.

Arguably the best pizza in Brooklyn (aside from Artichoke pizza). The customer service here is impeccably because as soon as you enter, you're greeted. I actually ended up ordering a slice with calamari to go. On this particular day the credit card machine was done and I didn't have cash. They allowed me to get my food and go and come back later on in the day to pay. There's not many places that will allow you to do that so it was greatly appreciated. The food is made fresh and not here and I'm happy that the menu is filled with so many options to choose from.

    Pizza!

Man do I miss a New York slice. I've found a place back home that I thought captured the taste just perfectly but Armando's confirmed it. And the prices WOW. A Large cheese w extra cheese, fettuccine with FRIED chicken WHAT? Mozzarella sticks x2 and wings DELIVERED for a fairly reasonable price? YES!!!! All of it was great too. Man I miss NYC food and in these days where delivery can be had at the press of a few buttons from so many good eateries, you guys don't know how good you have it here! Thank you!

Another classic pizza place in Brooklyn. They have a great variety of pizza slices for really cheap. I had a mozzarella and ricotta cheese slice and it was warm and so yummy. Just a great spot for your pizza fix!

so i order from armando's on a starving friday night, they actually came pretty quick. i had the mozzerella sticks( didnt like them at all) the buffalo chicken pizza (was salty) and the Tomato soup (was ok) since i was lazy i got what i got if i had went in maybe i would of seen better selections to pick from. Havent ordered again since but this just seems like a order there and eat type of spot.

Maybe I caught them on a bad day but my pizza was pretty bad. On the advice of other reviewers I had the grandma slice. It looked beautiful and the sauce was great. Problem was the bread was very doughy and tasted like raw flour. Could've been a one time thing and the sauce really was delicious, so I might give them another chance.

I always crave pizza, even now. This take-away place seemed like it's been handles by real pizza pros, so I came in. They do have a wide variety of Italian dishes. I took the Spinach roll, the Sicilian pizza and a regular slice (I was hungry :) ). The hit them up and I took it to go. The place only has two small rounded tables and like 5 sits, so it's not really built for "eat in". Also, when I sit in a restaurant, I care about the experience, so it's more of a "pick up" place. The Spinach roll was good, also the Sicilian, but I feel like the regular pizza bit them both. The sauce was a good balance between sweet and salty, and the dough was not as pretty crusty, which I love. Overall, a good experience.

Don't be too discouraged by the line if there is one - it moves fairly quick, and although the wait for your pizza can be a bit longer than other places, I thought it was worth it! They have a patio area right outside the restaurant, as well as various standing tables inside. It was a humid day so we really wanted to stay inside, and we got lucky while waiting for our slices! We got the namesake L'industrie slice and it was delicious!! Loved all the flavors together and the crust was perfectly crisp yet still chewy. They have some hot oil containers laying around, but be wary as it's pretty spicy! Cash only, BYOB (with rules depending on how many people), and a time limit on the table. Know what you want when you sit down. Menu is easy, pizza, calzones, sometimes pasta. Simple. Is it worth waiting in line for - maybe - if you have 2-3 hours free and nothing else to do and it's a nice day, sure. But honestly can't say I am running back to do it again. Waiting in line to get added to a waitlist that still doesn't always guarantee you will sit down to eat at the requested time - we were seated 40 mins after checking in (unusually long, never had more then 20 mins or so in past visits) but still a strange system, keeps the spot exclusive I'd guess. Have visited several times and always have had a good meal and the prices are very fair. Seating is not super comfortable and they pack you in for real, the restaurant is also unnecessarily dark and loud - But not in a bad way? I can't explain it but the very delicious pizza makes up for the weird ambiance and all the rules... definitely something to experience atleast once.

I've been eating L&B Spumoni Gardens for as long as I can remember, and it remains exactly what it's supposed to be: loud, crowded, unpretentious, completely its own thing, and ridiculously good. The square slice is the square slice. Sauce on top, cheese underneath, crispy edges, soft center. Don't overthink it. Get one. Then realize you should have gotten two. The sit-down food is classic Brooklyn Italian comfort food, the portions are generous, and obviously you finish with the spumoni. This isn't precious food and it isn't trying to impress anybody. That's precisely the point. Brooklyn has changed about 9,625,247 times in my lifetime. L&B is still L&B. Five stars. Always.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered a glass of wine, a beer, an arugula salad, and our main food order. Everything started out fine, and the salad came without a problem. But then we waited. And waited. About 30 minutes after we had ordered, I asked our waiter where our food was. He apologized and admitted that he had forgotten to put the order in. By that point, we had already watched other tables receive their food, including people who had arrived well after us. We continued waiting, and after roughly 40 minutes or more, our food still had not arrived. At that point, the dining experience was already ruined and we decided to leave. Ironically, just as we were getting ready to go, the food finally started coming out. I told them we no longer wanted it. The waiter did apologize again and offered us a pizza to take with us, which I assume was complimentary, but by then we were simply ready to leave. Even paying the bill became unnecessarily drawn out. We were charged the full amount for the salad, beer, and wine. I sat with a $50 bill ready to pay, was handed the check, and then ended up standing around for another five minutes waiting for someone to actually take the money. There was no apology from the person handling the payment. I understand that mistakes happen, and I appreciated that our waiter admitted he had forgotten to place the order. But when a restaurant makes that kind of mistake, the recovery matters. After waiting that long, watching later-arriving customers get served, and then having difficulty simply paying and leaving, an apology and a pizza at the very end didn't really fix the experience. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I can't say the service lived up to the restaurant's reputation.

The dining area still has that wonderfully idiosyncratic character: exposed beams, communal tables, mismatched details, and an open kitchen turning out genuinely excellent pizza. What impresses me most is how naturally Roberta's became more than a restaurant. Food, music, parties, outdoor spaces, and an extraordinary mix of people all seemed to converge here, giving the place a cultural gravity that could never have been designed by committee. It remains one of those places that instantly takes me back to my bachelor years and an especially fun chapter of my time in the city, when Bushwick felt endlessly creative, and Roberta's seemed to sit comfortably at its center. Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Their pizza is SOOO perfectly crisp and charred, and actually is one of the closest pizzas that reminds me of the famous originals in Napoli.

Brooklyn DOP is a prime example of what happens when a pandemic lockdown, a dough obsession, and an…read moreinability to sit still all collide. We visited as a stop on Scott's Pizza Bus Tour, which meant we were actively evaluating it against some of the best pizza in the city. Evaluating pizza on a tour is tricky because excellence becomes relative when you are eating multiple high-end pies in a single afternoon. According to Scott, Brooklyn DOP began in founder Thomas Ardito's apartment during the 2020 lockdowns. With his primary work on pause, he started baking pizza and selling pies through Instagram to pay his rent. People kept ordering. His friend Jason D'Amelio joined the effort, and what started as an apartment project turned into pop-ups and eventually a brick-and-mortar shop on 5th Avenue in Park Slope. That is a considerably more compelling origin story than a corporate franchise business plan. The setup in Park Slope includes a quiet back courtyard, which offered a comfortable spot for our group to sit, eat, and recover between stops. It feels relaxed and distinctly Brooklyn without trying too hard to remind you where you are. The pizza itself is very good. The crust strikes a proper balance between a crisp bottom and a chewy interior. The toppings are handled with care, from the crushed tomatoes to the fresh mozzarella. This is dough crafted by people who take fermentation seriously rather than relying on pre-packaged shortcuts. On its own merits, the pizza is a solid 4.5 stars. Unfortunately for Brooklyn DOP, it was competing on a tour against places operating on another plane. It is an excellent pie, but it was not the single slice that caused the entire tour to fall silent in collective awe. Still, that is an aggressive standard to hold against any local shop. Brooklyn DOP offers a great courtyard, a serious approach to dough, and a standout product. Landing just shy of five stars says far more about the sheer volume of elite pizza we ate that day than it does about the shop itself. Four stars. And if you are not spending the afternoon riding around New York with Scott Wiener eating pizza at some of the finest pizza joints the 5 boroughs have to offer, you can probably bump that half-star back up.
