I liked this pizza the first time I had it roughly a year ago, and then I gave Armand's a second shot after seeing the Barstool review. After trying a lot of the pizzerias around the area, I have settled as Armand's being my favorite for a quick go-to during the week. The Monday and Tuesday specials are the best! The cornmeal crust and mildly sweet sauce make for a good tavern style Chicago pizza!

A sausage calzone (left) and XL pepperoni pizza (right, $12 on Mondays). Pretty good!

CAL-ZONED OUT Deliciously hot baked products come out of this local pizza chain's oven. Though I've driven past Armand's close to a zillion times, I'd only eaten here twice -- once for lunch a while back and once for dinner last night. I picked up an XL 1-topping (pepperoni, naturally) for a reasonable price of $11.99, a special they only feature on Mondays. I also picked up a sausage calzone slice ($5) and pint of minestrone soup ($3.25). My order was ready in about 30-40 minutes and none of the items disappointed. We enjoyed the extra large 'za, though it had chunks of flour on the bottom (???) and didn't heat up very well the next day. It was nice and cheesy, if a bit short on the 'roni. Calzone was great, a terrific pocket of flavor....I'd definitely get it again. Soup was solid. It's tough for me to justify coming here a whole bunch in the future, especially considering I live 50ft from a Lou Malnati's carryout spot. I might stop in at some point, most likely for a lunch slice. Sure, I'll recommend Armand's.

As a child my father would take us to the original one on Grand ave.. I ordered a pizza from here today, it was absolutely perfect!! Crispy crust, great blend of cheese, just the right amount of sauce and sausage. Better then I remember as a child. The staff was very friendly. Even though it isn't close to my house I would order from here and take the 30 minutes ride.

Order Placed: Tue, Dec 17 at 5:36 PM and order received at 6:51 PM. Ice cold and, well, i'll let the images speak for themselves. My wife called and they asked if we wanted another order (would take at least an hour). Yeah, never again.

I discovered Anthony B's Pizza & Pasta listed #15 after searching pizza options via yelp within a radius of the Maywood area. Once I noted that it was the closest to me, plus offered the online ordering option it was then I considered, chose and made my way to this restaurant. Since I had no interest in ordering a large pizza, I ended up selecting the 10'' build your own pizza regular crust, with spinach as my topping which was only 0.75 cents extra. It made my day to see that the restaurant had RC Cola on its menu as one of the soda options which I absolutely love. Ordering online allowed me to pick up my order and go, then conduct additional errands in the area. By the time I arrived at Anthony B's my order was waiting for me behind the counter. I was well on my way after verifying that I was picking up an order, and my name. While waiting for the employee to grab my order, I adored the display of Elmo holding a pizza at the register which I thought was very cute! Grateful to have had a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again is very high. As for my order, I would be lying if I said the regular crust pizza with spinach was not good because I was very satisfied with the taste of it. I enjoyed each square cut piece, devouring them all very quickly. I am glad that I considered Anthony B's because I would not have had the opportunity to taste the goodness of their pizza. I am well open to ordering from Anthony B's Pizza & Pasta again if in the area as the time goes on. And as yelp recommended it to me for pizza, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all. I loved that they had a small outdoor patio to enjoy the weather and be connected with the busy downtown. Their menu had starters, pastas, pizzas, and entrees in a curated format. They serve wine and beer regularly but have a rotating specials menu for cocktails and food. Our server let us know that the bruschetta rotates weekly which is cool. For mains, I got the Ricotta Gnocchi. All of that pastas are clearly homemade. The gnocchi was certainly pillowy and paired nicely with the creamy truffle sauce. My husband got the Orecchiette pasta which could have had a more prominent sauce to it. Overall, the pasta was fresh and ingredients tasted of good quality. The portions for price point seemed a little off as dishes didn't come with a bread basket nor side salad. I wish we would have gotten either a bit more pasta or something else to make the price feel of value. Either way, this was a nice spot to enjoy good company at. Our server, Nina, could not have been nicer and more attentive to our group.

And during those times, I enjoyed it and vowed to order it outside of my work shift since I enjoyed it so much. While looking at their menu online, I discovered their ever so delicious looking deep-dish chocolate chip cookie, which is a 7-inch-deep dish chocolate chip cookie that is baked! Yum! It will certainly be something I look forward to trying in the future, for sure! I ordered a small thin crust pizza with pineapple via call-in since the order online option was for preorder only for the next day. Ordering via call-in was very convenient because by the time I arrived at Beggars, the only thing I did was state my name and confirm my order with the employee at the counter. Beggars itself sits along a highly trafficked W Roosevelt Rd, right across from Edward Hines, Jr. Veteran Affairs Hospital. And the parking lot itself is shared with a few other businesses, like Cricket, Lacey's Place, and a Chicken Factory location. As for the food, I want to point out that the thin crust pizza with pineapples looked freaking delicious! The pineapples were infused in with a thick layer of cheese, with some pineapple pieces visible. And it tasted very good as I expected. Being that I had a great experience, I will gladly order from Beggars Pizza again if I get the slightest crave for pizza or pasta when in the area.
