This review is based on my take out experiences. I've ordered pizzas a couple of times and it's fantastic-as good as any New York Pizza (I'm from NY). The one time I ordered meals to go I was disappointed. I got eggplant parmigiana which I prefer breaded with bread crumbs and not flour so I wouldn't get it again. The short rib (yes one rib without the bone) was good but very small portion and quite pricy. I would order pizzas again and may try dine in but would never take meals out again. read more

Came here for my grandmas birthday and it was delicious! We had yummy calamari and garlic knots for an appetizer. We all enjoyed our entrees! I loved the chicken Marsala, it came with the best risotto I've ever had. We also had the crab cakes, and mahi mahi francaise which were also delicious! We wrapped up the night with some cannolis. We've been here before when they were new and hadn't been back. We decided last night to try it again and were not impressed. We were sat quickly and given menus but it was quite a while before a server came to take our orders. Two of us ordered espresso martinis. There was no espresso flavor in them at all. They tasted like a sweet chocolate martini. Strange. I've never seen a restaurant that charges $7 for garlic knots. I ordered eggplant parmigiana. It was served with squares of barely melted cheese slices on top. I took one bite of the eggplant and that was enough. It tasted like mushy, frozen eggplant from a supermarket. It was lukewarm. The pasta with red sauce was good. One of us got fettuccine alfredo that looked like jarred sauce and was quite bland. Overall very disappointing. There are several better options in the area if you're looking for Italian food. read more

I had very high expectations after reading the wonderful reviews of this restaurant. Four of us went for dinner on a Friday, when they had music. Our waiter was surly at best, obviously in a hurry. Two of the people in our party ordered shrimp scampi, which was excellent. One diner ordered veal,parmigiana, which he said was ok. One diner ordered chicken Marsala, the sauce was good as well as the risotto, but the chicken couldn't be cut with a butter knife, it was rubbery and over cooked. We were seated on the patio near the door to the restaurant, at the end of our meal our waiter stuck his head out from the door and asked hurriedly if we wanted anything else. This place was absolutely amazing! As a 1st generation Italian American living in New England, I think I'm a good judge of great Italian food. I've been to Italy, eaten in Boston's North End, New York, Providence and everywhere in between. So coming to Vero Beach and going out for Italian food had me skeptical. BUT, AND I MEAN BUT, this restaurant is fabulous! The food is the real deal, old school, fabulous recipes that are made PERFECTLY every time! The appetizers were amazing. The Arancini, Calamari and the Seafood Salad with octopus, scungilli, calamari and shrimp was one of the best appetizers I've had. PLEASE, DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT HAVING THEIR GARLIC BREAD! SERIOUSLY, it's that GREAT! All of our entrées were also perfect will allowable substitutions where possible! Canoli and homemade Limoncello deserts were also spectacular! With food as great as that, you'd wonder how could that experience be better? Well the service capped off a perfect meal and evening being as GREAT as everything else. ***RATING FOR PIZZA ONLY**** Summary...find another place for pizza. Great Italian, not so great pizza. We researched online for hours for the best pizza in Vero Beach, and we created an aggregate system averaging out the ratings of several different review sites (i.e. Google Reviews, Yelp, etc.) to figure out the best pizza joints in town. The best pizza joint in town by far is Garage Pizza with an average rating of 4.8 out of 5.0 on at least four different review sites. We wanted to go here but they are closed on Mondays. Armani's Cucina is the second best rated Italian Restaurant with 4.7 out of 5.0 with four review sites as well. However, this rating must be for the Italian food because the pizza is at best 3 Stars, and I wish I could leave 2.5 stars. The crust was bland, the cheese and sauce was ok. In fact, I think Domino's Pizza might have been a better choice because their cheese and sauce have better flavors. It wasn't a bad experience, but just not what I expected from such a highly rated Italian restaurant that also got decent reviews on their pizza. Two of us dined-in on a Monday for a late lunch. I chose the place based on reviews. I knew the spot - it was a different Italian place previously. I ordered the "dinner salad" (6.95) and it was sad. A plate of fluffed-up iceberg, black olives, 3 tomato wedges and a sprinkle of chopped onion. It would be an upcharge for Bleu cheese dressing, so I just went with the house. Disappointed! Dont waste your money. That was a joke. However, the white pizza was terrific, but we added 2 toppings at $4 each (sausage and mushroom) which were good but expensive for what it was. The place was clean. Family on site and very nice and congenial, and I would return for the pizza, at dinnertime, when one can dine outside. I'd skip the salad. The owners should see the house salad offerings at Pizoodles or Mama Mia's. Competition. Oh, the parking sucks! The pizza is good, if willing to walk or fight for a parking spot. read more

We are regular customers. We visit the restaurant almost two weeks. We usually only order their pizza and we enjoy it very much. The chef in the dining room also makes special pasta every week where he cooks pasta inside a wheel of Parmesan cheese. I finally tried this pasta the last time we were there. When I was talking with the chef, I asked him how long the cheese wheel will last. He told me that a wheel will last about six months. It seemed odd to me that he would use the same cheese wheel from week to week for six months. One week when we were there, he made meat sauce style pasta. The week I tried it, he made fettuccini style pasta. Although I enjoyed the pasta, I was left feeling a little uneasy about him using the same cheese from week to week. Although we will continue to go there, I don't think I will order the cheese wheel pasta again. I would think that the restaurant would be more concerned about their customers' health. Using the same cheese wheel for six months can't be very sanitary. read more

We took our little people to eat there tonight. The food was great. I am a super picky patron. And I was pleased. It is very rare that I don't send anything back for being incorrect. My husband whom is a salt fiend didn't even add salt to his lamb lollipops. He did add pepper to the arugula under them however. Also the addition of the balsamic to the oil and herbs is fantastic. I wasn't expecting that as I do not car for balsamic. I even ate a few of the garlic cloves. On that point whole garlic cloves of minced is a great idea. Thank you for making good food I didn't have to send back or doctor.there was a lady complaining as we were leaving. I think that woman is crazy. I know alot of vero seems to be afraid of flavor. My husband and I dined at Armani's on July 11th for dinner. As travelers in the area we hit the Jack pot! We chose a Super Tucson wine from Italy that complimented our dinner foods. The calamari appetizer was the best we've ever had. Fresh tender rounds lightly floured served with tasty red sauce. The entree I chose was shrimp and spinach with pappardelle with a light cream sauce with gorgonzola and sage. This was fantastically delicious! My husband ordered veal parmigiana with linguine. It was a generous tender flavorful piece of veal. The sauce is the best as my southern Italian taste buds attest to. Dessert shared with my husband was pannacotta with blueberry syrup which is homemade. Not an easy canned product! I took home a sfogliatelle (Italian pastry) to enjoy for breakfast. The chef takes pride in all the cooking and the bakery chef as well. We sampled homemade limoncello and it was slightly sweeter with a smooth finish than most I have tasted. Angelina the owner took the time to talk with us. Her daughter Tara is also a positive pleasant hostess. We had excellent service too. I wish we lived closer to frequent this restaurant. However, the next time I'm in the area, and I will be because of family living nearby, this is the first restaurant we will visit. read more

4 of us went last night for dinner. My cousin had heard some really good things about the place. As a general comment don't go for a leisurely dinner as the interior seating is park style benches pretty close together, not comfortable. Servers were great but, I would not want to be there on a full night. I believe the wines by the glass were overpriced, beer was well priced, but it's a pizza place. The menu is limited but with enough choices. So for us (we're transplanted Italian from Brooklyn) the pizza was some of the best we have had in Florida. One of us was not very hungry so we opted for 4 apps and one entree I split with my cousin. The apps were good quality but kinda skimpy, particularly the rice balls and seafood salad (I did a double take when they came.) Big plates but not much on them. The one entree we ordered was a combo of shrimp and calamari fra diavolo. At $29 we expected more than 3 shrimp and stunningly we are still searching for the calamari. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't remember the last time I was charged $7 for a plate of garlic knots in a pizza place. Long and short we would go back if in the area (no special trip) but only for the pizza and beer. One caution, if you're not local we had a tough time finding it as it did not come up on either of our GPSes. read more

As others have said, the finocchio with pear and gorgonzola which we ordered as a shared appetizer was great! It'll Def be my chosen entree on our next visit. Just happened to come along this place, went in and was greeted and introduced to types of food, Italian with full bar, qualities of beer great air conditioning and cozy setting. We found this new restaurant by accident and are so glad we did!! They were willing to create a special dish we were looking for even though it wasn't on the menu. Their 'can do' attitude was so refreshing. The food was amazing. Then Tara and the chef came out to ask how we liked it. it was our first time coming here. immediately as we sit down the server had an attitude and looking annoyed that we weren't drinking alcohol. he didn't introduce himself or anything. we ordered the shrimp appetizer which was really good. All of the food was really good and flavorful. i ordered the gnocchi entree and my boyfriend ordered the swordfish. they brought out the wrong dish for my boyfriend and before we could even say anything the server was already gone. overall i would like to hope that the server was just having an off night - i would try it again but definitely not a great first impression. the rest of the staff was friendly and inviting. read more
