There's limited street parking and it's cramped inside as well OVERALL: If you care about hospitality I would avoid coming here for as long as that bartender is working there. Ordered takeout from here as we were craving wings. We got 2 10 piece buffalo and one 10 piece mango jalapeño. We also got fries and loaded potato skins. The potato skins were delicious and huge. We are not sour cream fans so I wish it was a garlic aioli to dip in but very yummy. The fries were crispy and delish. Don't how a takeout order was still crisp 20 minutes later but bravo! The wings were cooked nicely and well sauced. People here were super nice and I got a street spot. Definitely coming back here. Glad I ordered direct through their App too. My friend lives right next to this bar/resto so we tried it. I had the pork chops and it was fire! Portions were huge but i managed to finish it because meat was cooked to perfection, mashed potatoes were creamy, and the Spinach was tasty. Wish they put more Spinach but all in all we all had a great time. It was a weekday - Wednesday and they were setting up for karaoke. Looks fun but i had an early day the ff day do we had to leave. We love it here, and have been coming for years! All wonderful staff with efficient service, a great drink menu and a great selection of bar food. Everything is great, but this is our favorite burger in town. We loved their outdoor dining over the last few years, and they frequently have local bands coming in to play for the evening. Call this place what you want, but the service, neighborhood bar scene atmosphere and the food is spectacular. If you like spice, the fish tacos were excellent. Three huge tacos stuffed with tender fish and yes they're spicy!!. But other dishes to include cheese steaks and wraps are also standout. Been coming here for years when in town. read more

I was craving a quick bite and found this restaurant in my town. I figured I'd give it a try since it was close by. First impression, just your standard style pub/tavern. Beer, wings, sports. I heard that the French onion soup was good, which was one of the main reasons I wanted to try this place. For drinks, me and my friend ordered beer and wine. The wine tasted sour.. not the best. We ordered the French onion soup, a big blue burger, and wings. The burger seriously lacked flavor. The patty was dry and poorly seasoned. I was desperately rubbing ketchup on the patty to salvage some flavor.. it was also heavy on the bleu cheese - in hindsight I shouldn't have ordered it as I'm not a big fan of bleu cheese, but the patty wasn't great regardless. The wings were ok - decent, nothing special. The French onion soup tasted good at first, the melted cheese had a good taste, but the soup itself was a bit too liquidy, needs to be a bit thicker.. not sure why I had high expectations, but the soup was OK, nothing special Lots of flies outside - it was hard to eat in peace. read more

The Ruben was cold so that was not ok Chicken Milanese was good and had a fresh arugula salad on top The noise level is too high so I reccomend not going on a Sunday during football season. It's not often that I get excited about a hamburger, but the other night we checked out this "Dive Bar with Food" in Chatham, of all places. (Btw, this is a Yelp! sub-category, not my personal description.) Let me assure you that this "Jalapeño Bacon Cheeseburger" was no ordinary burger. In addition to being a massive 10 oz. beef patty, this sucker was smothered in goodies, especially the deliciously thick bacon slices, and the fresh and extremely spicy peppers. The entire Medium Rare concoction was juicy & delicious, and barely fit my oversized mouth. Wish I had a picture to share, but I will definitely be back for another one. Easy and great place to grab take out. Ordered over the phone and it was ready when I got there and hot! Everyone was very friendly. We ordered two burgers and a spinach dip. EVERYTHING WAS HUGE. We didn't even touch the dip because everything was huge haha. You will not go hungry that is for sure. We got the big boy burger and big blue burger. Both were cooked to specification and the Burger was quite tasty. Not my favorite bun but it was pretty good. We got an order of disco fries instead of reg fries which I highly recommend! Parking was a little confusing but I think this is due to the lot being used for outdoor seating. Tho they did have a tent out back in case it rained or for some shade. You would never know this place even existed if you were driving by. It's in an industrial area and not where you think you would find an awesome American Fare restaurant. It's definitely a "dive bar" but the food was awesome and surprisingly family friendly! My wife and I split a French Onion Soup, Bruschetta app and a Jalapeño Burger. Everything was delicious, good sized portions, reasonable prices and fast friendly service. I especially enjoyed the soup and the very tasty bread it was served with. A+ all around! read more

River Grille is a fun local watering hole, it's definitely most fun when they have live music. The food is surprisingly very very good for a bar, although the place really needs a facelift. It's gotten pretty worn around the edges, but I hear they're planning to upgrade soon, which is great news. I've never had a bad meal there, and their wine selection is very nice. The bartenders are very efficient and friendly. I went there for karaoke night once, and I had an absolute blast. I highly recommend if you want a local place to hang out with good drinks as long as ambience is not your first priority. read more

Read some reviews that the staff were rude, but I tend to never believe folks and want to go see for myself. This is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. I ordered takeout on an app. When I arrived, the guy working said just got the order (40 minutes later). It was obvious he just checked his phone now and missed it. These apps don't have 40 minute delays. He told me it will be another 40 minutes and walked away. No sorry, no here is a beer. We went to the River Grille on a local friend's recommendation. The vibe is "dive bar" when you walk in but the friendly wait staff and the corporate Friday casual dress of the fellow diners put that to rest. I was urged to try the lobster / crab bisque and wow, I'm so glad I was! Not the most dietetic of soups but who the heck cares? I suppose they could offer a discount coupon for an angioplasty with every fifth bowl but once you try it, you won't care. I then ordered the shrimp Po Boy. Great crispy bread (weak bread will destroy any sandwich) and killer spicy fries mark the dish. The filling, while tasty and filled with fresh goodness didn't have quite enough shrimp for this glutton. I brought half of the sandwich home (that bisque really filled me up) and let my fussy wife taste it. She called it delish and I suspect we're headed back for a date real soon. My fellow diners - two foodie friends - had the crab cake over risotto. It's billed as an appetizer but it proved enough of a meal with the bisque for them. I snagged a taste from one of their plates and after one bite, I smiled... a lot. The room, packed with long-lunch Friday diners, was really loud and the non-stop TV screens showing martial arts fighters beating the snot out of each other reinforced the dive bar vibe. However, don't be fooled, this is a friendly place with great food. I feel it's not a good first date spot but third or fourth date? Maybe if the first few went well and you're trying to show your inner bad boy/girl. Plus, you won't have to get a tattoo to rock that meme. They have a private parking lot and an active, full service bar - important insider facts.
