6 total members of my family went to Apple Works today and had a wonderful time. After leaving Apple Works we all decided we were hungry so we stopped by Arni's on the way back home. We were NOT impressed by this location at all. The wife and I eat at the other Arni's on 96th street quite frequently and love it. So we were severely depressed, dissatisfied and disappointed after eating here. My mom found a piece of plastic yes plastic in her Club sand which! And my wife's shrimp carbonara was awful. (Same thing she always gets up north) service was ok! Food coming to table was very slow. Just a horrible overall experience. read more

This Arni's location in Greenwood is very cozy and good for a date or a dinner with family and friends. The front seating area is especially nice - with longer tables in the middle and booths on the outsides. It used to be a Damon's; you can see the front area of the restaurant is like the "cozy" / date night half of Damon's, while the back half is more of the sports bar kind of atmosphere, but minus the trivia clickers. Arni's pizza is a unique flavor of pizza that is consistent across all Arni's locations that I have been to (unlike Pizza King, for example). I would describe the pizza dough / crust as on the salty side, and more crisp than doughy. My family likes the barbeque sausage pizza the best - the barbeque sauce is tangy and mixes well with the crumbled sausage and cheese. Salads are awesome here, and the portions are on the large size - ideal for sharing. The Arni's Junior salad is big enough for 2 people if you are also eating pizza and/or breadsticks. The reason I don't give 5 stars here is because the service at this Arni's has been consistently average or below average during my visits over the past couple years. We are not checked on by our server very frequently, and people in my dining party (7-11 people) run out of drinks and need refills a lot. The greeting and overall disposition of the employees is humdrum and melancholy. I do think the atmosphere and the consistent quality of the pizza is what earns this Arni's a 4-star review instead of 3 stars. read more

Took my son here for lunch. The food was good but over priced for the portions. Medium pizza is a 10" and was $16.99. Bill was $32 for pizza, breadsticks and 2 drinks. Had to leave and go to McDonalds just to get full for lunch. Food isn't worth the $$. Service was ok but not over the top. read more

Had lunch here today with friends and as usual the food was great! Unfortunately, when I asked about the Tuesday beer special selection I was told by the waitress (Sandee) that she did not know what they were. Didn't offer to find out either. So if you're going to offer daily drink specials, you might want to make sure the staff knows what they are. read more

We've lived here for almost four years and never stopped in before. The parking lot is always packed though so we gave it a try and weren't disappointed. The kids were welcomed with crayons and coloring pages, and a pack of fruit snacks. They're already won over! We needed up ordering a few side salads and a sausage/pepper/onion pizza. Salads were great- fresh lettuce and topping. The pizza was... well... what I hear Arni's pizza is. Either you love it or hate it. Thin crust, kinda floppy, cut in squares. Tons of toppings and generally tasted good, but not my preference for pizza. I prefer more dough, more well done, and easier to eat. The kids liked it though so that helps! Visited Arni's for Indy Pizza week and because my experiences at the Lafayette locations were always positive. This past visit was less than spectacular. We walked in and were greeted immediately. The hostess led us to a table and since there were multiple booths open, I asked if we could sit at one. She explained that they didn't have servers for the open booths and I told her not to worry about it. The hostess then said that we could have a booth. Our server walked by and told us it would be a minute, so we looked over the menu and saw that beer was on special. When our server came over I asked what was on draft. She didn't know and had to look at her "cheat sheet". She then listed a few beers including "sunking" with no explanation about which beer. I asked her if any of the beers were IPAs and she said she didn't know because she "doesn't drink". I asked if she could ask someone and she reluctantly asked the gentleman bussing the booth next to ours. After we were able to get drinks ordered, we ordered a few things including a 10 inch pizza since they were half off for Indy Pizza week special. I confirmed with the server that it was half off before ordering, she smirked and said yes. Our food came out just fine. Ingredients seemed to be fresh and the Arni's Junior salad was very good. Our bill came out with the pizza not discounted. I pointed it out to our server, who took the bill back and adjusted it. The whole experience was almost painful. read more

The back dining room is designed like an echo chamber. Every noise and screaming kid carries across the whole room. Very hard to have a conversation across the stupid half round booths, and over the noise. They food was disappointing, a fried hamburger on a ice cold bun wilted lettuce and mushy old tomatoes, mmmmm, served by a bored young woman with the personality of the cold bun. I got truly offended when the bill came and for three people it totaled over $40. I really feel I could have gotten better at Burger King. My tip to tonight's manager, when you look at a table that is paying the bill and the food is still on the table... Go talk to the them don't make them come looking for you. read more

We arrived for lunch with our 16 month old son. The hostess informed us a high chair would get in the way, so we would need to use a booster. She then led us to a booth, which we could not safely attach the booster seat to. There was also very little foot traffic, as the area we were seated in was nearly empty. After waiting nearly fifteen minutes for our server, I informed her we couldn't use the booster, which she took without asking if we would like a high chair instead. Needless to say, we left at this point, so I can't comment on the food, but the service was incredibly disappointing. read more

I went to Purdue and have eaten at the original Arni's location many times. This location takes the great pizza I'm used to and puts it in a spacious, comfortable space that makes the experience that much better. Just blah. Too overpriced. Our service was really poor. No drink refills - we were eating ice!! The server never was visible to even ask for more. It was very apparent they were not invested in our dining experience. Kids meals were standard fare. I had the chili Mac - how do you make chili that bland? I did not finish it. My hubby had shrimp tacos - two small tacos that were sauce heavy and maybe 1/4 cup of sweet potato fries - the kids got more food than he did. It just wasn't pleasant at all. For $60, I expect WAY more than what we got from food to service. Sorry Arni's, not coming back. Should've just done drive through and saved $40!! read more

5 stars today... Jr was perfect( all 3) deluxe pizza was perfectly made from the cheese to the crispy crust. Service was excellent never had to ask for anything and all needs were anticipated well. We decided to get carryout arnis tonight. Online order told us food would be done at 5:57pm. We get here and are told two times. 5 more minutes even though it was 6:05pm. They have now forgotten a pizza and had to make it after all the other food is ready. About the time it comes out the other pizza was not made either! It is now 6:35pm and still waiting. Will definitely NOT be going back to this place. The waitress had the personality of a rock, the place was so loud and noisy we couldn't enjoy our conversation, and the management did absolutely nothing about the noisy obnoxious children who were completely unsupervised by their parents. The food was mediocre, at best, and took forever even though they weren't that busy for a Friday night. My husbands hamburger bum was literally ICE COLD, like it had just came out of the freezer, my reuben was so soggy I had to eat it with a fork, and my daughters buffalo wrap was dripping with grease. As we left we passed several servers, and two managers and not one of them acknowledged us or asked if our experience was okay. We will not be going back there ever again. read more

Took 6 friends from Arkansas to this south side Arni's last night for the $5.00 gourmet hamburgers during Hamburger Week. A few of us got the Crazy Jake which had bacon, cheese, bbq sauce, lettuce tomato, onion strings, 1/2 lb hamburger, on a pretzel bun and a side of fries. I was so looking forward to the bbq sauce, but there was about a dribble. Not enough to taste. The burger was over cooked and dry. Meat should be juicy! The original price was $12.99. It is greatly overpriced. After we were done I ordered an Arni's senior salad to go. I ordered one years ago and loved it. It was also very large! The one I brought home was very disappointing. It was about half the size they used to be. Had I seen it first I never would have paid $11.99 or $12.99 (I forget) for it. Live and learn! Now I know not to waver from my favorite at Arni's-BBQ Pizza. Who knows, that might not be good anymore either. I'm a little afraid to try. read more

We've ate here 3 times, & besides the pizza & wings have tried the lasagna, chicken Alfredo, fish & chips, & Stromboli. All were mediocre at best. Edible, but nothing you'd go back for seconds for.
