This is a tough review for me to write. I hate to do damage to small businesses, but sometimes people just need to be warned away. I helped a friend out by paying for their friends at Arnold Automotive to figure out what was wrong with her car, and the owners strung us along for weeks, supposedly waiting for parts. And they ran up over $2600 in repairs, plus the $200 spent towing the car to their business twice. In the end, the car broke down again, so I took it to a different mechanic, who very quickly identified a crack in one of the valves in the engine, rendering the car's engine unsalvageable. So, in addition to $2600 in repairs that will go to waste, we have to salvage the car, and try to find a new car. Had the owner done a decent job to begin with, we could've used that money toward a new car. This level of incompetence at this repair shop just cannot be overlooked. They don't answer their phone during business hours. They take two- and three-hour lunches. So obviously they don't take their business seriously. Add to that, they strung us along for weeks saying they had looked at the car. Dropping by after hours, we noticed that the driver's seat had not been adjusted at all, indicating that the much taller mechanics there had not even attempted to start the car. It should be noted that they did this to a friend. A friend! What will they do to you, a stranger? I would suggest avoiding Arnold Automotive for your car needs. read more

I have brought my 1996 Dodge Ram to Arnolds shop and other family members have brought there cars to Arnold's auto one I brought it in it was ready the next day other times I have brought it in I had to wait a while but the kept me informed on what was going on they had to find electrical part that understood needed to be programmed. Well, they wanted to get the best price so it took a while, which was OK by me saving money. It's OK with me. Don't know the young ladies name. I guess Miss Arnold we will call her always so nice and the employees are always nice as well. it's like walking into your families auto shop highly recommend Arnolds Automotive for repairs. I did a pre-purchase inspection on my 2008 Chevy Tahoe before buying it last week. The technician informed me that it's a clean vehicle with very minor issues. After buying the car, I stopped by another mechanic to inspect a noise in the rear brakes. It turned out that the axle assembly need to be replaced. Because of this bad pre-purchase inspection, I ended up spending additional $2000 to fix the axle. read more

First, my apologies to Arnold Automotive for never having left a yelp review in the past. My office used to be in the same business center as Arnold and that's how I originally met Ed and Donna, the owners. Over the past six years they have done literally dozens of repair and maintenance projects on my vehicles and at least an equal number for people that I have recommended. In all cases the work was done with a level of professionalism I've never experienced and at pricing that was always more than fair. Whether it was my SUVs, vans or our RV we have always been thrilled with the personal service and the ultimate outcome. For this reason I have had occasion when my staff members had problems with their personal vehicles I would either recommend Arnold Automotive or in some cases help the staff member by either loaning them the money to have their auto repaired or in very rare cases actually paying for the repair. I mention this because it is come to my attention that one such employee, Sophia Downing, needed repairs done to her vehicle and I recommended Arnold and offered to help pay for the repairs. Sophia left my employee and the work was never done. These things happen in business so it was no big deal. It seems however that Sophia has opted to give a negative review to Arnold Automotive, who I will mention again never did any work on her vehicle, in my opinion, simply to spite me by trying to damage the reputation of the company that I believe in. It's a shame that someone would take this tact however I hope you will take this into consideration when you read her review on yelp. I would highly recommend Arnold Automotive for any automotive need and feel confident referring my friends and family to them on a regular basis. read more

Today, I was getting my inspection done at Inspection Express on Palm Valley (they were very fast, kind, and helpful). My headlight was out, so a gentleman at Inspection Express referred me to Arnold's Automotive down the road. I picked up a headlight from Auto Zone and called Arnold's Automotive. The woman working the office and phone answered and was very understanding and kind when I explained the situation. I showed up to the shop shortly after calling and was immediately greeted and assisted. Again, the woman working the office who I had originally spoken with was very friendly and helpful. She went to the garage and brought up a gentleman right away who so that he could take a look at my headlight. This gentleman was very understanding and friendly as well. I should explain that replacing my headlight is not simple. It requires lots of removing of parts, etc. So he wasn't sure he'd be able to get it done very quickly. A second gentleman came over who thought he would be able to get the headlight in, so they explained that they would give it a shot and took my car while I waited inside with the AC. After a very short wait, they returned to let me know that they had been successful in installing the new headlight. They insisted on not charging me but of course, I felt that they should be compensated for their effort and customer service, so I tipped them. I have not received such great customer service, understanding, and kindness in some time, so this was a breath of fresh air and each of these employees really made my day. Even after explaining the ordeal to my mom (a 10 min inspection on my lunch break becoming an hour and a half inspection and light replacement), she commented on the fact that I still sounded like I was in a good mood. And I was, thanks to good people. If I ever need work done on my car, I will return to Arnold's and I would and will refer anyone to them. Not only did they do their job, but they went above and beyond by providing amazing customer service, which I think is incredibly important and rare. read more
