On my most recent visit the things I loved: *the service of course! *blueberry lemon cupcake. There aren't enough words to describe the deliciousness. The cupcake is filled with a blueberry compote (or something like that) and frosted with a lemon frosting. It's just amazing. AND if you keep it in the fridge and microwave it for 10 seconds, the filling warms up. YUM *maple frosted cinnamon roll. I've had their buns before but they definitely grew in size. Either plan to eat over 2 meals or share because it's ginormous If they ever have the ooey gooey banana bread cinnamon rolls, try it! So good

On the other hand, they've posted on social media to come try their newest fresh baked good, for me to drive over (I live two minutes away) and see a hand written sign on the door that says, be back in fifteen minutes. Forty minutes later, they still weren't back. I understand that we all have emergencies come up, but you need to take care of your customers and in those times, just play it safe and say you're closed for the day. After that incident, I don't go anymore, I have my friend grab me stuff when she goes, but it is good. Parking is fine, prices are okay, the vibe outside and inside is really cool. Give it a shot and hopefully you don't have a fluke. Really creative options.

Not to mention, I was so tempted to order all the lovely baked goods and treats. They looked amazing. The seating was super accessible and expansive, and everyone here was super welcoming and hospitable. I hope to be back next time I am in time for a sweet treat! The cookies looked amazing.

I walked in thinking I'd order something simple, but Jocelyn somehow anticipated exactly what I wanted before I even said it -- an oatmeal latte with honey infused right into the espresso. It was warm, silky, lightly sweet, and honestly one of the most thoughtful, dialed‑in drinks I've had anywhere. You can tell when someone really knows their craft, and she absolutely does. We also grabbed the curried chicken sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of creamy and bright. It's the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid‑bite and go, "Wait... this is really good." The whole place has that cozy‑local‑favorite energy -- friendly staff, great food, and the kind of coffee that makes you want to reroute your trip just to come back again. If you're driving through Freeport, Camden, or anywhere along the coast, Wild Oats is 100% worth the detour.

We went with a non-traditional theme which included cupcakes a wedding topper cake for the dessert. We chose Grant's Bakery to do the topper cake and worked with Gary, one of their cake makers. Gary walked us through their process, portfolio and what options were available to us. He understood our theme and produced a white and gold themed topper cake which was spot on. My wife LOVED it and it. Unfortunately my wife and I were not able to have the cake for our wedding reception as we had to cancel due to a major incident impacting several of our Maine towns, but Gary was patient and willing to still make the cake despite their store being shut down for 2-3 days due to the incident. We pushed the due date for the cake to be ready, out a few days and when my wife picked it up, she LOVED it and complimented him several times on how he hit the theme with colors and the simplistic design. We were not looking for a large elaborate cake and despite the simple design, it exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Grant's Bakery for your wedding cake needs!
