Another restaurant now competing for our #1 spot in Rehobeth. From start to finish- the pleasant greeting from the host (who we learned is co-owner), the very friendly and efficient service, and very appealing and interesting menu. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Portugal Vinho Verde on the wine list - so refreshing on a summer evening and a generous pour. We started with the entree portion of the arugula, roasted beets, and goat cheese salad topped with a light and zesty vinaigrette. We couldn't pass up the ceviche special with house made tortilla chips. Full of seafood and just the right amount of punch from the lime. Grilled Octopus over a wonderful slaw was a real winner. Can't wait to return and sample some of the other dishes.

Easily the very best meal we had in Rehoboth. We made a reservation and didn't realize it was outside until we arrived on the 100F degree day. They had fans that really helped move the air a little on the small outdoor covered area. It was super hot but the amazingly crafted cocktails and food soon made us forget the heat. Our waiter, who was superb by the way, brought us several delights over the course of our meal. The Sazerac cocktail rivaled NOLA preparations and the Yuzu whiskey sour and the Long & Happy Life cocktails were exceptionally prepared. We really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts with halved figs, the mushroom bruschetta, the grilled octopus, scallop crudo, and beet salad with figs were all really tasty. Don't hesitate to try this place! It's fantastic!

Here are three polished, professional versions of your Google review -- you can choose the tone you like best. --- We had a wonderful dinner here tonight. It was our first visit, and we were pleasantly surprised. The drinks were a bit pricey, my Lavender Dreams was $17 but it was delicious, just on the smaller side. The salmon was excellent, and the kitchen kindly substituted extra mashed potatoes since I don't care for Brussels sprouts. My husband had the beet salad and the octopus, and both were outstanding. Service was great, and the atmosphere overall is very nice. The only design element that didn't appeal to us was the white and blue wall treatment with the chair rail, coastal décor doesn't need to take "blue like the ocean" quite so literally. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We were able to call and make a reservation for 8 people. We sat outside on the patio which is covered on 3 sides. It did get a little humid but not bad. Service was very good. Interesting cocktail list. I had the old fashioned and my husband had the coffee cocktail which was excellent. The wings were delicious. I got the deviled eggs with bacon as an appetizer and the short rib over risotto for my meal. I forgot got to take a pic of the short rib but it was delicious. Located a block from Rehoboth Boardwalk.

This place was 10/10 delicious! We started with the Brie and naan and it was by far our favorite dish. So many different flavors but they all worked perfectly together. We ordered several small plates and shared and eat dish was equally delicious. The service was good and we appreciated Cortland's recommendations. In total we ordered the Brie and naan, Brussel sprouts, burrata salad, and the half order of the beef short ribs. It was perfect for my husband and I to share. It's definitely not a large establishment so making a reservation would be recommended.

The Long Island cocktail, nope it does not look like a Coke or tea and it is delicious!

From the decor and ambiance to the impeccable service, delicious food and not to mention innovative cocktails, Shorebreak truly has it all. The decor is subtle elegance all while keeping you in the beach vibe. Our server Finn was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. I am not a seafood eater so for me when I go to a restaurant that specializes in seafood, or has a seafood centered menu I am always speculative of how good the land side of the menu will be. Well, Shorebreak does not disappoint. I've had their short ribs, burgers and chicken wings and I can sincerely say it was all tasty and delicious. The cocktails are incredibly innovative. I had the Long Island which is their take on the Long Island ice tea. It was amazingly smooth. Their espresso martini does not disappoint either. I highly recommend adding Shorebreak to your list of places to experience in Rehoboth, you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I after here a few days before Christmas. Hard to believe it was the offseason as things were jumping! Loved the vibe. We both ordered cocktails ; husband had the Italian Sunset Manhattan which was right up his alley. I had a winter snow martini- it was very lovely- but goes down quickly! We started with an order of the Deviled eggs with chimichurri- a perfect little appetizer the chimichurri made them extra special. I had duck breast - very good and they were able to give me mashed potatoes with it . Husband had the Rockfish special- he was very happy with it. Ver excited to return here soon!

Excellent experience here a few nights ago. The dining room is lovely, the food delicious. I especially enjoyed my cocktail (Long and Happy Life) and my main dish, the scallops. Thanks to my server, Justin, whose warmth and professionalism made dining here special and - I hope - an experience to repeat.

    Shrimp & Grits - delicious!

Decided to start out our family beach week with Shorebreak, a first time for us despite the fact that we've been going to Rehoboth for years. So glad we did! What a great meal. We had made a reservation for our party of seven and were promptly seated and taken care of. The impressive cocktail list lives up to the reputation. I really enjoyed my shrimp and grits - what a feast! The service was excellent, although there was a wait for our entrees - to be expected, though, because it's a busy summer night during the dinner rush. We sat on the covered outdoor patio, and it was a hot night - next time we are eating inside. Dessert offerings looked good although we will have to enjoy those next time. Great time - what a wonderful meal! Thanks so much!

Ask the Community - Shorebreak Lodge

Do you have any dinner specials on Wednesday?

We have a live jazz duo performing every Wednesday through April 29, 2026. Tuesdays are Tapas and Thursdays are Half Pour Cocktails through April 30, 1026.

What does the children's menu look like?

This is a restaurant where adults frequent, not families with young children. As such I don't believe there is a children's menu, sorry.

I am trying to make reservations for Wednesday 8/18 but I am not having much success The message says use Yelp or open table but those sites only take 6 people or less. No…

I'd keep trying to call for a party of more that 6. I believe they don't open until after 5, so try calling between 4-6. Hope it works out! And enjoy!

Says you serve lunch but no lunch menu on site. I'd love to see lunch menu?

Hi the lunch menu is posted on Yelp. Click on menu for all menus! Thanks

Hi! The restaurant's website says the tasting menu is available Sunday through Friday; however, that option does not appear when making an online reservation. Is the tasting menu available on Friday? Thank you!

Yes we are serving the tasting menu tomorrow!

Do they have a specific childrens menu?

Our children’s menu is a verbal, currently it’s choice of: hamburger or chicken tenders with side of fries, or pasta with butter sauce shaved Parmesan.

How is the Happy hour during the week in March?

Happy hour starts at 4. All menu items are high quality options taken from our core dinner menu. $5 wines by the glass, $3 beers $5 spirits! Great vibe and ambiance as well!

A special thank you to Peter "Pan" for making our night so memorable. Not only were the cocktails delicious, but watching him craft those amazing bourbon creations was an experience in itself. **in response to the owners comment, we never met you. We didn't send food back nor did we request…read morenew food, and you, nor anyone else EVER brought me any additional drink on the house. I only had the one I paid for. There's no need to lie, bad days happen. This is not a speakeasy, this is a restaurant cosplaying as a speakeasy. That may be a bit harsh, it's a speakeasy in training. Sure, it's got all of the speakeasy decor, blackout curtains over the windows and doors, and a big selection of pedestrian liquor but it's not quite there. We went in on an early evening on Wed and there were maybe 5 other patrons in there. Our waitress was nice and brought us water to the high top. She brought us two food menus, and a specials menu. I asked for a bourbon list and she brought it; no prices on the list. Annoying. On the specials menu there was a small section of manager recommended drinks and one was a Willet. The way it was written was confusing because it said it was both a 4 year and 14 year for $52, so I asked for clarification on the age statement. She took the menu to the barkeep, who confirmed it was a 14 year so I said yes I'll have that. A drink was brought to me, but I could tell from the taste that it was not what I ordered. I asked the waitress for the bottle, she asked the guy behind the bar for the bottle and he pulled down a willet pot still bottle (pot still is the entry level Willet and at best a 5 dollar pour, no where near what I asked for). I told her that I was given the wrong drink, then she approached the bar and between her, and the male and female bartenders they had a weird back and forth conversation. Then, finally they pulled down the bottle that I asked for, that was advertised, and gave me a pour of it. I asked to see the bottle and the waitress brought it over but held it instead of putting it on the table (it was a 13 year Willet, Paper Trail). As we were about to order we were told that they reset the menu the very day before, with the focus of putting more love and care into the food. Feeling good about that, we ordered the French quarter catfish and the bourbon braised short ribs. The corn that came with the short ribs tasted straight out of a store bought steamable pouch, and the "ribs" weren't ribs at all, just sliced meat. The only redeemable thing about the catfish dish was the aioli; the rice had no flavor, the corn was cold and hard, and the catfish was mostly breading. We both took a few bites and resigned. I have been to many speakeasies around the US, and there are common themes: a much better selection of liquor; 95% of the bourbon were low tier bottles you can find in any liquor store for around $50. Also, when customers ask for the bottle, it isn't because we plan to steal it or drink from it, its because we're genuinely interested in the information on the labels. The quickest way to get people to stop spending money is to make them feel as if they can't be trusted touching a bottle. Perhaps it was an off day for the staff and this wasn't a typical experience, but I won't go back.
