Have been coming here for breakfast for years whenever I'm in the area. Never disappoints. There's nothing fancy here. Good food, excellent service (particularly on coffee refills) and friendly and efficient Staff. The decor hasn't been updated, but I think that's part of its charm. Don't let appearances fool you. Yes, this place looks a little dated. But I like to call that charm. Why? Because the service is excellent and they are serving tasty food. I have tried several items on their breakfast menu and they were all quite good. My most recent purchase was a bacon and cheese omelette. Really great ... made with a fine balance of bacon and cheese. I have also tried their pancakes which were quite fluffy and full of flavor. Yum! Lastly, I am a big fan of family run restaurants, where you see multiple generations working to make the business thrive. If you are not aware, this place has been around for decades. I'm genuinely sorry to have to update my review. I love the food, the service, Nikki the owner is awesome. The servers are sweet. But recently, people staffing the register have been placing high pressure on customers to leave very generous tips, even questioning, "do you really only want to leave 15%?" With all due respect, Robin Hood , everyone is feeling the pinch of inflation today, not just your servers, and many of us really can't afford to leave 20-25% or more tips. And regardless of whether someone can or cannot afford it, strong-arming high tips is so unbelievably tacky and uncomfortable. Your servers take orders and deliver food. They don't perform life-saving surgery. Generous tips are merit-based; they are not a given. read more

Fine, friendly local place for breakfast and lunch. Eggs benedict was fine, and I had all the tea I could drink. The people working there are super friendly, easy to engage in conversation about the season and what it's like to live there. Dining was very enjoyable, and we will be back. All is not well in Sherwood Forest it appears. My guess is that Robin Hood, the legendary outlaw, once celebrated for his quest for justice, robbing the rich to give to the poor is now more interested in robbing everyone. Today, a thin slab of over fried Tilapia arrived on a dried bun, with a tomato slush/lettuce garnish. The hearty vegetable soup has mutated into a watery gruel of indistinguishable scatterings. The turkey club fetched up the same tomato slush/lettuce garnish, greasy gristle and blubber. A standard eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes breakfast should be easy. Potatoes were mushy and flavorless. Toast-one of us had lightly burnt and the other was basically bread slathered in butter that was oddly powder like and disintegrated in the egg yolk. So many better options in Rehobeth. read more

I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a bit of old time diner nostalgia, with very fast friendly service at the beach. This diner is inexpensive for brunch/breakfast - my friends and I had an amazing time here, it was our final stop in Rehoboth Beach leaving. You can't go wrong with the omelette or eggs/bacon/toast combo, but a unique item here is the creamed chipped beef - it reminds me a bit of biscuits and gravy. The coffee here is very strong, much needed before venting back to the DMV. I recommend you get here early, way before 10am to enjoy the free parking in town! My first time here. I don't think I'll be back. First, it's obvious this space has been here a bit. The interior needs some attention and refurbishing. Second, I know times are tough to find staff. Our server was nice but we could see another server hanging out and playing on their cellphone because they were bored. Food. I got the grilled ham and cheese sandwich. And it was very greasy. Robin Hood is an excellent choice for breakfeast /lunch. My wife is vegetarian, and loves their vegetable soup - loaded with very nice vegetables. It appears to be homemade. Being health conscious I appreciate the very low oil used for the home fries and omelettes. If you check your plate afterward you will not see the typical oil slick.
