Very clean and bright restaurant located in a doctor's office building, offers a convenient place to dine for breakfast or lunch while visiting doctors. My greeting was warm and friendly. A variety of seating options are available and wide aisles accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. Lots of windows, cheery walls and TV's make it a welcoming place to stop for a cup of coffee, a specialty smoothie, or a meal. The staff was cleaning and checking on customer's comfort and needs throughout my stay. Prices and choices were reasonable. My only complaint; microwaved croissants! I am in this building more frequently than I like and so I'm sure I'll return. read more

What a great find in the hospital complex! TVs, purse hooks at the counter seats, plants on the tables and very clean. My breakfast bagel sandwich was delicious with a generous amount of avocado. Overheard another customer praising his food to someone he was talking to on the phone and then he even made sure to stop by and praise the cook. read more

Wow! Thanks RN Jill for the recommendation. My mom was rushed to the hospital and needed to eat hours later. If you love Mexican Mexican food, I was pleasantly surprised. A cafe in the Mercy San Juan parking lot, what a gem! Had their taco special for $10. 3 chicken tacos and a med drink. Offered chips and salsa. Fountain drinks didn't offer any other choice but soda so when I asked they had horchata. I almost said No because well I just haven't found them good, til TodaY!! Best horchata ever lol. I pass by this place almost everyday, so I stopped in to see what they had. They have breakfast pastries in a case when you walk in, then when you walk around to the other side of the counter, they have a nice size menu. The service was excellent. Very friendly, polite, and accommodating. I ordered the red chilaquilles and the chicken tinga tostada. Both were delicious! The place was very clean and spacious. Lots of seating. I went during lunchtime and there was a lot of hospital staff both dining in and ordering to go (just an FYI in case you go and feel like you're not supposed to be there). Great food, friendly owners and employees. Lunch food I've had are the chicken tacos (a little spicy but still tasty-the spice might be coming from the pickled onions), birria quesadilla, cheese quesadilla and guac. Breakfast food I've tried are the burritos (both bacon and sausage (the sausage is too spicy for me)) and the croissant egg and ham sandwiches. First, the food is delicious. I had Avocado toast and a medium vanilla latte. I added a bit of salsa and picked onions and so enjoyed a delicious breakfast snack. I saw and heard other customer did how great their breakfast burritos were. The menu is extensive and those behind the counter warm and engaging. Truly a chance encounter. I was waiting for my wife's two hour medical procedure to end and asked a medical assistant where I could get a decent latte'. She immediately said Aroma's. So pleased I followed her tip. I work at MSJ and went here for the first time because the prices are comparable to the hospital cafeteria and a coworker recommended them. I had the birria quesadilla and Mexican corn. Delicious!!! I had the pleasant experience of visiting this establishment which was a refreshing relief from being in the hospital or even having the thought of having to purchase something in their cafeteria because not only are the prices in the hospital astronomical, the food is less than desirable which brings me to this particular cafe. Last year I brought a friend for an outpatient procedure that ended up being a 4 hour wait. While moseying around.. I stumbled upon this gem of a Cafe. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was pretty darned good. A few weeks ago I ended up visiting someone in the hospital again. I decided to give this place another try. Let me tell you folks..... that the staff is everything you ever imagined as they are polite, accommodating and even funny. I particularly remember Eli ( Hope I spelled it right) because he was very helpful and answered all my questions without any attitude or eye-rolling which seems to be rare nowadays. Then there was Sarah ( I believe her name was) who took it upon herself to give me a small taste of the chicken that I ended up purchasing. She is a breath of fresh air. Service with a beautiful smile too. The food is over the top and amazing. Sarah also recommended the mango smoothie which you have absolutely GOT to try. I'm not much of a mango fan but after one sip. I was SOLD. They use fresh mangoes and go above and beyond to pack that thing so tight you can barely get your straw in it LOL. The torta was very good. 2nd best I've ever had. I was delighted to meet Mr. Ben Jammin as he is quite a character. Our encounter was brief but he made quite an impression. Everyone was so nice and I hope I left no one out. I had a very close friend with me when I visited the second time and she is a baker, She enjoyed their pastry and food as well.
