I'm giving you a four because of Sebastian and his great customer service. We did also speak to the chef on duty to give some feedback on how our experience was. Now to the honest criticism I've been here a few times and each time had some issues. This time around my dad says let's support the business. I'm not sure if business is a little rough right now or not but we definitely do like to support local as much as we can. We started off with 2 appetizers steak bites and mac and cheese. The steak bites were good. The barbecue sauce is not needed. The mac & cheese had good seasoning and flavor, but roux was not done properly cause it did have a grainy texture. We also ordered a bottle of wine to go with dinner. We did wait a while for our food to come out we did all order steaks, medium rare. Unfortunately, they were more medium than mid rare, al of the steak dishes did come with veggies and a baked potato that was fully loaded. I ordered their $22 special that was a steak with shrimp and a baked potato. The steak was well seasoned. I did like the butter that was placed on the top cause it did melt into it. The shrimp was good. They did pair it with a dipping sauce that had a spiciness to it. I tried it. I didn't eat it. I just had the shrimp with lemon. My steak was more medium than mid rare, but it was juicy full of flavor. I did finish it. I didn't have a chance to eat the baked potato because there was a lot of food on my plate. My daughter wanted her steak, medium rare, and she was disappointed because it was medium. She does like to have her steak looking bloody. I felt that the proportions on each dish was enough each plate average $40. The mac & cheese was $18 and so was the steak bites. Our bill did come out to $260 for four people to eat. That's including four dishes, two appetizers, a bottle of wine and one soda. A few things I do want to add they need to add some kind of tint to the windows because they're in direct sunlight that feeds into the dining area. We all know, Fresno is pretty hot during the summertime so we definitely need to make sure the air is running and there's some kind of shade to prevent the sun from hitting you directly in the face. read more

Party of 3 for dinner which is fairly new for this establishment and they definitely need some work. We were the first to arrive at 6pm to dinner service and they were not prepared for us. There was no server, only a busser that was too young to serve cocktails so we had to wait for someone to return to the restaurant for adult beverages. We ordered 3 steak dinner meals and all of the meats were not prepared as requested. All either over or under cooked. The baked potatoes were very very over done. 2 meals were sent back and unfortunately even once they came back the temps were still off and not medium well as requested. We were also given the same old baked potatoes with toppings that were not correct. The place has so much potential but they will definitely need to work out the kinks to satisfy customers adequately moving forward. Came here for a friend's birthday and there were some highs and lows. My friend and I ordered bottomless mimosas while our other friend ordered a single mimosa. It took over 15min for any of our drinks to come out after ordering. It also took over 45min for us to receive our food which was surprising because there were only 3 tables of customers in the restaurant. The inside was very cold, so I couldn't take off my jacket at all. The server was kind but she was not very attentive and was hard to flag down at times. The staff was very friendly. We were a party of 4 and were seated an waited for 2 more when we sat down. 2 women helped us as we ordered drinks. I very thankfully glad everyone was patient as we waited for the rest of the party. The drinks we're good I had ordered a watermelon margarita, but they had brought out a strawberry one. I didn't make it a big deal. They quickly realize they had brought me out the wrong one and gave me the correct drink even though I said it was fine. The steak was so big it was big enough to feed two adults I could not eat all of that by myself. The portions were a good size that I had to get a to go box because I filled up pretty quickly. The food was so good. My eyes were bigger than my stomach that day. I guess that's a good thing my favorite part of having brunch there was the fact that I can customize my French toast to my liking the food. While the prices and flavors were good, the extremely long wait and overcooked steak made Aromas a mixed bag. We came during lunch and they were surprisingly empty. Given the little foot traffic, we were able to easily park along the street. Despite the lack of customers, our food took nearly 45 minutes to come out. The service was similarly limited but friendly. A positive was their vast and affordable list of cocktails. Every beverage was $12 or less. *Mojito: I didn't taste any of the strawberry listed on the menu but it was refreshing. The glass was surprisingly big but it wasn't very strong. *Eggs Benedict Chorizo: the chorizo was well seasoned and tender. The eggs were perfectly gooey and the hollandaise was rich and creamy. The roasted potatoes were salty and crispy. Overall, one of the better renditions I've tried. *Ribeye Steak and Eggs: steak was supposed to be medium rare but it arrived well done. However, we waited so long for the food that we didn't feel like sending it back. The steak was also bland. The hash browns were nicely crispy. The eggs could have benefited from a crispier edge. While the Benedict was tasty, the steak was poorly executed. I can see cocktails bowls being a fun treat for larger groups but the 45 minute wait was hard to swallow--especially when we were the only table. This was my first time eating at Aromas. This was a lunch visit, and I think I made a mistake by ordering lunch food, as this seems to be more of a breakfast place. Unfortunately, my chicken wrap was inedible. The chicken was dry, and it was clearly just frozen chicken strips cut up. There was almost no sauce in the wrap. The tortilla it was wrapped in was basic. There were little crunchy things in the wrap that had an odd taste. My son ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken was very greasy and very little meat. It was 80% batter. Our server was pleasant and timely. Overall, I would not recommend. read more

I did think it was a little odd that they asked what type of egg I wanted for my eggs Benedict, but everything tasted good, so I didn't think much of it at the time.
