This Blue Oak Grille is located inside the Table Mountain Casino just outside Fresno. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's decently up scale sort of, so it's no hole in the wall casino coffee shop. Some of my crew decided to try their luck, so me and the other girl on my crew decided to get something to eat here. The host seated is just fine and the server was friendly. I see they have a Sunday brunch buffet here. I wish it was Sunday, I could go for that! Our drinks came out quickly and we placed our food orders. I got a cheeseburger with onion rings and my friend got fish and chips with onion rings instead of fries. My friend ordered the potstickers for an appetizer. Prices aren't any casino bargain here, but it is a resort with no other competition out there. Our food arrives and my burger looks good, like a cheeseburger should. The fish was served on top of the onion rings. The food was tasty and no complaints. The pot stickers were sort of the deep fried type instead of the steamed, like a Chinese restaurant, but they were decent. Spent over $400 for five people at Blue Oak Grille on Mother's Day expecting an upscale buffet experience, but the evening was disappointing from beginning to end. The atmosphere felt generic and underwhelming, and the buffet setup and food quality resembled more of a casual chain buffet, think John's Incredible Pizza with Vons catering, than a high-end casino restaurant. The "seafood station" somehow had no actual fish despite salmon being listed on the menu. The lobster salad was overly gooey, the shrimp were simply cold shrimp on ice, and most dishes lacked flavor. We ultimately ended up eating shrimp quesadillas and fried rice specially prepared by the kitchen because there were almost no substantial vegetarian or warm seafood options available. For a city as diverse as Fresno, the menu showed very little consideration for guests with different dietary preferences. It was heavy on pasta and meat. The dessert station was messy and poorly maintained, our server was largely absent throughout dinner, and even getting water required repeated requests. At the end of the meal, when I asked for coffee, I was told only basic black drip coffee was available, and the only soft drinks offered were Pepsi products. For a restaurant at this price point, the lack of basic variety in coffee and tea options felt surprising. We also left without dessert, as nothing felt appealing or well presented. What made the experience even more frustrating was being charged automatic gratuity before even entering the restaurant despite receiving minimal service all evening. On Mother's Day, one of the busiest restaurant holidays of the year, there was also no manager on-site to address concerns, and staff informed us management would not be available until Thursday. For the amount charged and the way this restaurant presents itself, the experience felt poorly executed, poorly managed, and nowhere near worth the cost. read more

I've gone a few times since December. Our first experience was great, excellent service, mediocre food but we enjoyed it! Our second experience was good also. If you're a healthcare worker, don't sleep on their healthcare heroes menu. My last experience was for my best friend's dinner. I came in smiling and left wanting to leave already. It was line dancing night so it was busy initially- but I'm not sure how busy it stays with the tables empty and folks dancing. I recommend sitting far away from any entertainment if you want faster service. Service was minimal. Server never came to refill our waters or offer my friends a 2nd round of drinks. I was so thirsty the whole time. They didn't serve appetizers first. Everything came out at once. My friends requested for their prime rib steak medium rare and apparently only medium done was available? Skip out on the Margherita pizza. It's the least Margherita pizza I've ever had. It was a thin crust pizza with minimal red sauce, cheese and topped with a green sauce for aesthetics. No fresh tomato or basil in sight. It was not good. Happy hour nachos and fries were good tho! Nice portion of nachos for happy hour price $9.50. After we got our food, she never came back to check on us. Asking for to go containers and the check took a long time. She brought out to go containers and it wasn't enough so we had to wait again. Mind you, I told her it was my friend's birthday at the beginning of the meal. I asked again at the end, if they do anything special for birthdays. She said they offered a sundae. My friend was over it and said no, she didn't want it because everything took so long. Grabbed dinner here before attending to a function. Reservations were straightforward and easy. Inside there are plenty of seatings. It's quite huge. The order: I got the fish tacos and they were delicious. The fish was fried and crispy. The center was nice and juicy. It's topped with a some cabbage and sauce. Loved it. Super filling dish. Our server was great. She was checking up on us every so often and was really sweet. There are plenty of parking that's not far from the restaurant. The restrooms are towards the back by the kitchen section and is clean and tidy. Good experience and would eat here again. read more

Today I wanted Prime Rib! My daughter wanted to go to the Casino. So off to Table Mountain we went. We both got what we wanted! On the lunch/ dinner menu if you have a legends card, you get the full prime rib dinner with 2 sides for $20.00, regularly $32.00! What a deal! The atmosphere is relaxing and soft lighting. The service is top notch! The food, is served hot and seasoned perfectly! I sat and enjoyed every single bite.. The soup was amazing, first time having poblano chili, potato, sweet onion, and chorizo with melted cheese inside. So delicious! My prime rib was perfect medium rare, and the outer crust was perfect! My baked potato was the perfect size. My daughter had the tri tip sandwich with fries, the meat was a little over cooked, but she said it was very delicious and seasoned well! Went to eat lunch on Valentine's Day and have the salmon and rib eye. Both main dishes were good. The wait was very little and there were many people in the restaurant eating lunch . The sides were had we street corn, mash potatoes, and pilaf and all three sides were very good. We do wish they served meal with dinner rolls but truthfully we were both full when we finished. The ambience is always good because we like the sports tv in all directions. The service was great including our hostess. We really enjoyed the Yelp Toys for Tacos event at Table Mountain Casino last night. We were given a swag bag and two meal tickets. I made reservations for 2 on a Tuesday evening but I don't think it was necessary. You just walk in and bypass the counter people on the right and there is a check in area that is straight ahead. They then will seat you. The ambiance is sports bar like but not loud due to the high ceilings. It's easy to have a conversation with friends. Very wheelchair friendly as the seating is spread out. Seats are comfy. I ordered a healthy salad with the dressing on the side. Service was great and friendly. I tried to take a photo of my food but the mood lighting makes everything look blueish. OK, this is the first time I've visited there for Thanksgiving dinner. I was overly impressed with the high-quality of food that they served plus the variety was just more than I bargained for and make sure you leave room for dessert as there are plenty of choices. My husband and I had lunch at Blue Oak Grille for the first and last time today. The service was very slow even though there were not many customers there at all. But our main problem was the quality of the food. I had the tri tip salad. The ranch dressing tasted like plain mayonnaise, the greens were so large that I had to use a knife and chop the salad in order to get it in my mouth. The meat was in little cubes and was very tough and had no flavor at all even though it was supposed to be marinated. My husband had the rib eye steak. It was big around but about 1/8 inch thick and about 1/3 of it was fat and gristle and it had no flavor either. For the inflated prices they charge, the food should be much better. Decent plates at this restaurant located inside Table Mountain Casino. It's a large space with tables and booths, including rooms to accommodate large parties. It also has a bar and bar seating. We were warmly greeted by the employee at the hostess stand and promptly sat at lunchtime on a weekday. However, our actual server did not offer the same hospitality or attentiveness throughout our visit, which was a bummer. The restaurant was fairly empty during our visit, but our soft drinks and food still took a while to arrive. I ordered the Greek Salad, which was a generous portion at $13. It came with feta, red onion, and pepperoncinis and plain Greek yogurt for the dressing. Although a generous portion, it was pretty much flavorless . Not enough feta or pepperoncinis to contribute flavor and the plain Greek yogurt contributed absolutely nothing. More feta, thicker slices of pepperoncinis and some nice Kalamata olives would have added much more for the taste. I did ask for a side of vinaigrette to add some flavor. My mom ordered the regular breakfast plate, which came with bacon, eggs, potato's, and a choice of bread. It was just okay, the potatoes in particular left much to be desired. Not crispy, hot or flavorful. They tasted very plain. The winner of the day was my dad's flank steak plate, which he ordered off the "Heroes" menu. It came with two sides, he chose the onion rings and street corn. The steak was excellent! Juicy, flavorful, cooked perfectly rare with chimichurri on top. Been coming to Table Mountain for over 25 years, and enjoyed many dining options and places over the years. Came to this restaurant, for the first time in a party of 2, on a weekday afternoon. We were seated immediately at a table with comfortable chairs. It was abnormally icy cold though seated there, so we asked if we could move to a booth, and that was no problem. It was much better. The food was all wonderful! I had the pizza and modified it with bbq sauce, caramelized onions and mushrooms. The crust was airy, crisp, and very fresh- delicious! The fish and chips and Pad Thai were also enjoyed at the table. The decor and style of the restaurant and bar area was impressive and beautiful! What a long way TM has come since the smaller, more simple options in the previous buildings. I have enjoyed each experience though, and am happy to see the growth. Highpoint of seating....I loved the comfiness of the booth. The only reason for not earning that final star was that the food took an extremely long time, and I did need to get other servers attention multiple times for refills and to inquire where our server might be. They were all super supportive, and we did eventually get everything we ordered. Our server may have just been spread a bit too thin, but it really was not very busy. The lighting was a bit different, as evident in the pictures posted, but totally added to the big time casino vibe. Would I return, absolutely. Our server was kind when we saw her, it was just not as frequent and when needed without other support as well. Perhaps like I said, maybe there were just too many tables assigned to this individual. The owner or manager asked me to give it another try. Went today and I am feeling sick. Got Indian taco and it had almost no toppings plus toppings that weren't pictured. It also was very bland and my boyfriend got pizza and it was beyond greasy and flappy. We also got cheesecake which was actually good. It took like 10 minutes for our server to come we almost walked out. He was nice when he actually showed up but service was slow. We had to ask for the cheesecake cause they forgot. Brought the family here for the Easter brunch buffet, and it was pretty much a disappointment. There were a number of things on the menu that they didn't have, like seaweed salad, snow crab cocktails, panzanella, corn dogs, chicken strips, ice cream... The stuff they did have was all pretty middling. Oddly, the pad thai was pretty good. My family felt the redeeming aspect of the meal was the dessert options, not because anything was great, but because there was quite a variety.
