I actually didn't mind this place until recently. The food was very inconsistent. The back break was when I was lectured by the GM or manager (forgot what she said she was) about how I can't have my chips the way I wanted it. Aroogas has these blue cheese homemade chips that I always subbed for the truffle sauce because my stomach doesn't agree with blue cheese. She lectured me about how Aroogas did a lot of R and D on flavors and theres a reason why they put it with blue cheese and not the truffle. She said this is the last time they would do that for me. After that I never set a foot back in this place as I felt that was utter ridiculousness and rude for someone to talk to a customer that way. Came here with my brother on a weekend afternoon and there were about 4 other parties there. The restaurant itself is large and the booths are spacious. But the food is seriously lacking. We wound up having to order quite a few things because the portions were small and the food wasn't that great. We ordered the beer battered banana peppers which were fine, but came on such a tiny plate. I got the boneless wings with honey BBQ sauce. The chicken itself was good, but the sauce was disgusting. They were not hot and the sauce was so thick and tasted like it came from a generic grocery store bottle. It said it was 'award winning' which was extremely confusing upon tasting the sauce. Certainly NOT worth $14, as they don't come with fries. My brother got the half rack of ribs with boneless wings. Again, everything was pretty lackluster. The ribs were dry and small. We also ordered the big pretzel which was probably the best thing. It is huge and fluffy on the inside. I liked this place a little more than I thought I did. First of all, the place is packed with TVs. Even in the bathroom. On the tables, everywhere. Staff is friendly as well. My waiter was able to help me decide what to order, because of all the good options. I got the buffalo wings to start. The were perfectly cooked, and the sauces had a nice zing to them. I got the PB and J burger for an entree. The PB and J burger was juicy and meaty, and perfectly cooked. The bun was very good as well. I could barely taste any peanut butter or jelly. Came here before the advertised closing time and they said the kitchen decided to close early because there wasn't a lot of people coming in. I drove a half hour to get there. ATTENTION OWNER(S) and/or MANAGERS. I have gone several times, because I am trying my hardest to give you the benefit of the doubt. The food is good, the atmosphere is really good.... I am trying. HOWEVER, you NEED to understand and you NEED to address the fact that your service ABSOLUTELY 100% STINKS!!!!! My husband and I came here craving bar food and good wings. We sat outside, which was nice, but the disgusting food made us feel sick afterward. Their wings are supposed to their best asset. My husband got garlic parm wings and they were soggy and drenched. The dry rubbed wings were not as bad, and the mozzarella triangles were not terrible either. So here's the thing. I like this place. I really do. They have a great beer section, food is better than B-Dubs and the atmosphere is sports bar-y, exactly what this neighborhood needs and wants. I want to give Arooga's 5 stars, but I just can't and here's why. The service here is atrocious - and that's being kind. The servers are polite and kind, but who knows what is going on with the kitchen and the management. I would be coming here multiple times a week but instead I try once every 3 months hoping that they've worked out the kinks. Simply put, they haven't. It feels like the restaurant's grand opening every time I give it another go, which is absolutely heartbreaking because I want this restaurant to do well and stick around. Case in point: we brought some friends here raving that the food was more diverse and tastier than their favorite go-to of B-Dubs. We intended to sit down for a quick dinner and one drink. Immediately, my friend was told that his top 3 beer choices were unavailable - each time he ordered, the server would assure him it was available, go to the bar, and return with a "no". They did this song and dance three times over and it took over 30 minutes for one beer. Meanwhile, I received my beer but it wasn't what I ordered - but figured it wasn't worth the hassle and drank it up anyway. I ordered an IPA and got what seemed like a Bud Lite. Next up, dinner order. We placed our order for our 4-top and waited. And waited. And waited. As an appetizer, my friend ordered the baked potato soup at our recommendation, which is amazing, super rich, and delicious. Dinner arrived, but no soup. Our food was clearly sitting in the window for quite some time as my boneless wings were soggy and cold, and my guests experienced the same with their burgers and fries. But we were hungry and we knew if we said anything we would be waiting much longer. We reminded the server (who by the way seemed very frazzled) that my friend needed his soup to which she assured us it was on its way. We finished dinner - no soup. Check came and the soup was on it. At this point we were absolutely leaving with soup because we boasted about it to our friend. My wife being extremely frustrated walked to find a manager which is very out of character - she hates confrontation of any sort. She arrived back and explained that the manager told her that "our kitchen is a disaster and gets extremely overwhelmed when they get a lot of orders". What?? It was a Wednesday night. No sporting events, and our quick dinner jog became a two and a half hour half marathon. We waited another 45 minutes after we paid the check - by this time, our friends left to go home and my wife and I waited to get the soup that we had already paid for so we could take it to our friend tomorrow for his lunch. The manager came by our table, confirmed that she had no idea what was going on with the kitchen and that it just is what it is with no apology. You can forget even comping the soup or thinking about a discount voucher for a future visit. I just wanted some sort of empathy and an acknowledgement that something went awry. I get that things happen and am very accommodating to busy restaurants, but this was not a busy night and we were offered no sincere explanation. This particular situation illustrates what is happening here. Lack of accountability and passing blame accompanied with zero solution. The customer suffers and ultimately the business will fail. This particular scenario is an isolated incident but in future visits (we've been back 3 times since), there is a similar vibe of cold, soggy food, and a general malaise or apathy - or lack of training from management and servers. Please get this under control because I need you to survive, Arooga's!! Like I said, I really want to love this place and be a regular customer because the vibe is perfect. I'm really hoping that I can update this review to 5 stars very soon. To be fair, I've sat at the bar and have had good service and hot food. I came here on Wednesday 11/27/19 and the food was delicious! I had the cheese steak Stromboli and it was by far the most delicious cheese steak I've ever eaten. It was so full of flavor I wish I ordered a second one to-go. They also played the type of music that you would hear on "Hot 97" "Z100" and " power 105". I was dancing in my seat the whole time I was eating. This restaurants concept is " natural , clean, antibiotic free food ". If you enjoy eating clean natural food like the food from the Whole Foods store then you will like this place. If you enjoy Burger King , KFC, Popeyes, and McDonald's then you might have a different opinion about the taste. It's delicious in its own unique way. Definitely worth it to go! read more

Great food, love the concept of being environmentally friendly and having good quality food. But, every time I have gone here I've had TERRIBLE service. Tonight we waited 10 minutes for a server to come to our table and eventually we had to get up and ask someone to serve us. When it came time to pay, the server who we had given $50 and needed change on a $39 bill, gave us a $10 and a $1. I asked for change for the ten for the tip and she said she didn't have any change. When I mentioned I needed it for her tip she magically remembered she could get us change and yet only came back with $9. We had to wait MORE TIME to get the correct change. We came here Sunday about 2ish. As usual there where 10's of screens showing football game. I would have prefer to sit in the bar area because it has lots of window but - whooo, is was too noisy-- I am sure great for some folk but not us. We sat in the dining area which was fine. The room was not empty nor was ever table filled. I say that because it too it taking almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive. That normally would be irritating but we had a 5 year old with us that was getting pretty hungry. Ben, the bar manager came by and asked if everything was ok, and we said that Doug our server was super friendly but we had been waiting for over a 1/2 hour for our food. He came by again an we were finishing our meals, which were delicious (a chicken salad, chicken fajita, a kids cheese burger (2 sliders with fries). We again complemented our server and the food but noted how very long it had taken. He offer us a cookie ice cream dessert and our 5 year old eyes lit up so we took him up on the offer. Clean, best sport fan viewing experience in the area by far, excellent food, almost as many beers on tap as TVs (that's saying a lot), and there's a nice patio for fresh air. Their burger patties have been cooked to order consistently, after several visits, but they could stand a couple more ounces of beef to them. Place that nice should have proud 2/3-3/4 pound patties. Wings are above average as well. This place could be five star once they iron out the kinks in service, but it's four for now. I'll be back... yet again. Very positive experience the handful of times we've been. Personal gripe! That's a lot of beer on hand to not have at LEAST a couple gluten free options considering "gluten free" options are so prominent on the food menu. It is not. We had Emily as our server and she is the GREATEST! We sat in the bar area in a booth. Love the TV's everywhere! Started with buffalo dip/chips and that HUGE pretzel - was great on its own but comes with three dips, cheese, coarse mustard and another, that I forgot. So good! We got burgers, fries, and beers! What a sports bar should be. All came out perfectly cooked. Again, whoever reviewed as "greasy" no, none of it was. Good selection of taps. We tried a few, all were really good. I'd just like to say that this place is a complete waist of your time. We waited for thirty minutes while there were about ten other tables opened. There was only us and another family waiting. As we got to our seats you would expect for a family of 4 to sit at a table or booth. Instead they put us in a booth that could fit about 12 people. The service was horrible. Our waitress checked on us once before leaving with no food. We waited almost an hour and a half for four burgers. I have never waited that long for a burger. On the other hand we had about four random waters and tell us "your food will be out in a minute". That never happened. You would expect your own waitress saying that but it didn't happen what so ever. As we waited a nearby table had the same experience but surprisingly they got there food, but they didn't get there food all at once to eat as a family. Parts of there dinner would be coming at different times. This clearly shows the lack of communication and organization this place has. There was also two other tables that had food problems behind us as well. To be honest, to any person looking to come try this place.....DO NOT. It may look nice on the outside but when you enter expect to wait for a long time for drinks, food, etc. Mcdonald's can provide me a coke in a minute. If had a chance to change the name to this reasturant i'd change the name to "The long wait of Arooga's". The menu on the other hand was confusing. I wanted to order a burger and I see a "PBJ Burger". I had to read it again to make sure it was true and it was. Who would put that on a menu. Me and a friend went there on a Friday night. Service was slow and the food was ok. Waiter failed to bring out plates and silverware. We received our appetizers while still waiting for our utensils and drinks. They were busy as they had a comedy show in the other section of the establishment but they should of been better prepared especially on a weekend. Totally packed house. Lots of beer on tap. Took forever to place order with server though and to get food. Apps were small. Banana peppers were not only small, I got 4 rings total. The rest were crumbs of the breadcrumbs. Won't order that again. Jalapeno burger was awesome!. Little high on the prices but probably comparable to other restaurants in area. The wait was 40 minutes. I've been here three times. I am a hamburger addict and the first time I had a hamburger made from the special beef they serve, it tasted like a steak. It was cooked perfectly and I couldn't wait to go back the second time. Second time I went back the hamburger came out overcooked. I ordered it medium and it was well done. I sent it back and it came out well done again. I told my wife I'm not going back, but she convinced me to try them again. So the third time I went back, I ordered it medium rare, figuring if they over cook it, it will at least be medium. It was well done again. I sent it back I'm done. Here is where I see a problem. The staff. The wait staff is nice, but mostly inexperienced and obviously not well trained. The managers all appear to be about 19 years old. I don't think they have a clue. It's not their fault it's the corporation they're working for that hires children to run the business. No offense to these children, but they're not capable of running the business. That is more than obvious by the product that they put out. The only thing keeping the place in business from what I can see is the bar. Three out of four hamburgers over cooked, I'm not going back ever. If you can't cook a hamburger, that's pretty damn sad. If something drastic doesn't change, I give them two years and they'll be following in Ruby Tuesday's footsteps. read more

At best the service is a 2 star, the food is poorly prepared and frankly they've tried to create a unique menu with the outcome being just horrible. Worst restaurant experience I can remember. It took forever for the waiter to come back to take our order, he came back after our appetizers came out and we were done with them, it took forever to get our food, which was barely warm when we got it, and it didn't come anywhere near the expectations set by all the hype on their menus and website. The Waiter forgot to bring our drinks and then only remembered as he was walking away to get me a refill of my water. Afterwards we had to wait for him to show up with the check, my wife even left and went to the car, and after 10 minutes I gave up and went to seek out the manager. However, I wanted to give it another try, especially that it was my daughter's birthday. We walked in and was escorted to a table immediately!!
