    There was an omelette here

Tasty omelets, not much atmosphere but modern inside with good AC. Didn't try the coffee because I'm off caffeine for a spell but dining companion seemed to enjoy hers. We got the wrong check and DC had red peppers in her California omelet after ordering hers without. So knocking this from a 4 to a 3 but will be back to give it another try.

Husband and I got the lumberjack pancakes order. Food was good and portions were great also. Enough to share with my toddler. Service was great, young woman took our order. She was kind and attentive. Absolutely love that napkins are available on the table. So convenient. It's nice and clean inside. It wasn't loud like all of the other reviews said. Perhaps they've taken heed to the comments. Food was flavorful. I think this new diner will do well. I would take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. Definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area!

As u can see , it had gotten real busy, with a waiting list, by the time we left there

Very pleasant managers, who helped seat us , continually make their rounds. The Matzo Ball soup, definitely needs improvement. Tasted like a bouillon cube , with flavorless balls . (We left most of our soups, behind.) We DID tell the manager, so perhaps their soup will be upgraded , in the future . And , he DID ask if we wanted a different soup . (We passed on it , but glad for that option) Meanwhile, the burger was nicely chargrilled, with a good , beefy flavor ! And , very fairly priced , at $16.00 , including fries , & real good cole slaw & pickles. I liked the sweet potato fries , more than their regular ones . The carrot cake , chocolate fudge cake & chocolate cheesecake, all looked real good !!!! I need to try them, in the future!!! Pleasant service from our young waiter . This diner is the former Seville . Reopened about a week ago, with new owners . There was a 40 minute wait to get in , when we left there in the early evening. Holiday week , between Xmas & New Year's. Plus , lots of excitement to try the new place out ! I wish them all the best! Date visited : Sunday , December 28, 2025

    Our first time.

My pancakes are tough, its like when you warm up your pancakes on microwave! My coffee cup is been waiting for refill. But they nailed my scrambled eggs the way I instructed them. I'll come back again to see if they improve. Although my buddy loves his stuff french toast. Good big portions. For now 3star.

Our waitress was great but she was working the entire side of the restaurant where we were sitting. This was especially pronounced because one of my guests couldn't leave late. Food: subpar. We were here a few times a few years ago and I remember it being much better. The wings were good, especially the sauce. The sticky ribs were too salty and the ribs, while tender, tasted dry and overcooked. The pastas we ordered were overcooked and soft. The beef bulgolgi wasn't great. It was ok. Overall, a disappointment. Price is high for quality of food. Ambience: I remember this place being more lively and full. This time, on a Friday night, at dinner time, it was half empty. Other: trauma alert- read at your own risk. Once read, it cannot be unread!! When my daughter opened her napkin with the utensils, a spider jumped out at her and she was screaming! It took a while to get another set of napkins and utensils but when we finally did, I had to open the napkin for her because she was afraid to open it....

All of us with very different diets ended up finding something we loved. All of the good: -There was no trouble for 4 of us to get a table around 2:30ish on a Saturday. The space is huge, and it looked like they were even holding a private party upstairs. -A big menu with lots of options. We had everyone from vegan to basically carnivore at the table and the only trouble came when we realized most of their bread options had milk in them. The friend with a vegan diet knew to ask, but this would have been totally missed by me. She ended up getting a noodle dish and we all ate very happy. -My veggie burger was pretty good! As much as I love them, I can be a veggie burger snob. It's one of those things that need to be done right and the Gusto Grill veggie burger was done well in my opinion. Loved that it was a bit different with edamame as one of the bases. A great meal and a great time getting together with old friends. Highly recommend!

5-Stars it is!! *…read moreCASH ONLY- they have ATM on premise but cash is king! * Make reservations- we had reservations for 7p- but moved it to 5p and glad we did- this little spot fills up fast *BYOB Hubby and I came here to see what all the rave reviews were about and were immediately greeted warmly and with a smile, seated and given menus with an explanation of the specials. We started off with appetizers- which are really great for sharing- perogies for the Hubby and I had the liver dumpling soup- both were fantastic. Hubby had the German mixed salad with his meal, the special was sausage with both chicken and pork Schnitzel and potatoes, I had the sauerbraten with potatoes and we both had a side of the sauerkraut. We took a To-Go of the stuffed chicken breast with mozzarella and spinach and soup, with broccoli and an order of perogies. 2 Root beers, and he had the apple strudel and I ordered the Bienenstich. Our server was Karen- I want to give a huge thank you to her, she was an absolute delight, sweet, friendly and made sure our dinner was perfect, she is wonderful and next time we come for dinner, we hope she is our waitress. Food was incredible, I have not had "family" style German food in probably 13 years if not longer- I used to eat all the time at Alpine Village in Torrance Ca and at Phoenix Club in Brea Ca- both I was a long time foodie at, and never had a bad meal! It is so great to know that Sebastian's is our new place for delicious German food. Dinner for the 3 was roughly $180.00, but before you say "that's a lot", the food is delicious, the wait staff is amazing and both my husband and I gladly pay good money for fantastic food, like what we had here at Sebastian's.

CASH ONLY CASH ONLY…read moreCASH ONLY CASH ONLY Did I mention CASH ONLY So we are thinking about getting Christmas Eve dinner catered from here, so we tried it out yesterday. There was a decent amount of confusion and dialect disconnect, but I believe they have most of their regular menu available. We also ordered a bunch of different items to taste test and we were extremely happy! Let me get into my issue... At no point until I walked into the restaurant, did they mention cash only, oh and check! They take checks! But they never list if on ther website, or any social media sites. They do not mention it over the phone either... so I walk in expecting to pay with card and wham. CASH ONLY... They do have an ATM on site, but to use it, you need an ATM card or a pin on your CC, which I did not have. My FiL had to meet me half way back with cash so I could pay. I really wish they post it online or somewhere people can see before walking in.... I had half a mind to cancel lol! Well that's my gripe! Ordering food, there was a slight language barrier as well. But all in all, it went OK. The lot needs better lighting and or a sign that points to the main entrance. We walked the wrong way and ended up at tables and chairs in storage.... It is very very very homey inside. Very homey. It feels like Oma's living room. With Hummel and biersteins everywhere, and it mean everywhere! Do not bring young kids here lol! It does look nice though! Must but nightmare to dust... Service is unique, the owner was trying to make small talk, and this is after my cash issue, I was kind of zoned out... also had 2 kids that were surprisingly behaving! I got super lucky with that lol! I was able to pay cash and he threw in a few items for free, he gave me a potato soup and a Rahm sauce. Brought the food home and feasted! I got the triple schnitzel combo with Veal, pork, chicken. All were delicious, I like the brown gravy (which had a nice tang) as well as the Rahm sauce with it. By itself it was good, I think they do it more Italian style with only breadcrumbs and no flour, but it was still good. The Veal was the best, but small! The other 2 were very good! I subbed mash for home fries which had sautéed onions and were a great touch, but it needed salt. The sauce helped! I also got a side or spaetzle, which were good but needed sauce and or salt, and did not have much seasoning. But that is German food... I'm not saying its bland, but its sauce heavy! Perogies were absolutely killer! I want a tray lol! Great filling, super soft, great taste! Wife and FiL had the chicken cordon blue, and they were huge!!! They were delicious, but even better with the Rahm sauce. I need a gallon of it lol! Wife liked the Red cabbage, I enjoyed it as well, great flavor. I personally like it sweeter. FiL had the mash and like it. I also got Linzer Tarts which disappeared very quickly lol! Everyone enjoyed them! All in all a great meal, I wish they'd let you know cash only... we look forward to getting catering on Christmas Eve!

The dining area was bright, clean, and welcoming -- exactly the kind of atmosphere you hope for when sitting down for a good soul food meal. We came in hoping for Whiting, but they were serving Basa instead. My wife enjoyed the fish dinner while I went with the fish and grits, and both dishes were outstanding. The portions were generous, to say the least. The food was so good that I couldn't leave without ordering extra fish to take home. That says it all! This brings me to Dootsie's Kitchen. My aunt frequents this spot and actually told my mom and I about it last year, but we just never got the chance to check it out. I happened to be in South Brunswick for work and would have to pass by this restaurant getting home if I took the back roads, so I used this as my opportunity to check them out. When I arrived into the restaurant, I was a little confused on how to order at first. However, a guy that I'm assuming is the owner and/or manager came out from the back and asked if I was picking up or placing an order. I told him I would like to place an order but needed a menu. He pointed me to the other side of the counter where the menu is posted. They also have a kiosk ordering system that allows you to place and pay for your order. I ended up ordering two fried whiting platters, one for myself and one for my mom. They make the food fresh after you order, so there was a bit of a wait. I was even asked if I would like my fish fried hard. I said yes, but not too hard. I got my food to go and ate at home. I enjoyed my food. The fish filets were small, but there were at least five pieces in my platter. I requested mac n cheese and cabbage for one platter and collard greens and yams for the other platter. Only problem I had is that I didn't receive cabbage and got collard greens instead. I still enjoyed the greens. My mom thought the greens were too spicy. Personally, I really enjoyed them. The mac n cheese was that real southern mac n cheese. It tasted pretty similar to my mom's mac n cheese. I asked my mom if she liked her food. She said it was "okay" but didn't leave anything behind, so I take that as a good sign. The owner/manager was nice. He kept me updated on the status of my order. When he was bagging up my food, he asked me if it was my first time there and I told him that it was. He asked how I heard about them and I told him. He really seems to care about his business and is very appreciative of those who come to support. The restaurant is not large, but they do have some seating areas if you'd like to dine in. While I was waiting for my food, there was a large group having lunch, approximately 10-12 people. They all seemed to enjoy their food and kept giving compliments as they were heading out. I'm glad I got the chance to check out Dootsie's Kitchen and support a local, black-owned business.

Also on it was eggplant rollatini which had way too much ricotta oozing out of it so it was hard to find the eggplant. The clams oreganato were good but the calamari had way too many breadcrumbs. Separately we had the "Clam Bar Special" plate of fried calamari with hot sauce and it was THE best plate by far, second were the mussels on the hot antipasto plate. The Feast Eggroll was delicious. Unfortunately the linguini with white clam sauce was HORRIBLE. No taste, no flavor and it had water in the bottom of the plate. So I drained the water, put the remainder of the oil that you would dip the bread in, a touch of salt & the extra breadcrumbs from the clam oreganato into the plate and it still did not help. So with the remainder of the sauce from the mussels, I tried to fix my plate. It was just ok at that point. This chef needs to know not to overstuff the eggplant when making rollatini and to drain the pasta very well before plating as any good Italian knows. Would I go back, you wonder? So do I. Maybe

Upon arrival, we were told the happy hour is apparently only allowed sitting at high barstools. (This was not explained when we called ahead of time asking for HH details). We politely asked if there was any accommodation that could be made for my elderly grandmother to enjoy happy hour elsewhere in the bar area (the rest of the restaurant was absolutely empty). The staff was extremely unaccommodating. We were rudely told to force my grandmother to sit up on the bar stools by the hostess and the blonde middle aged manager. They do not seem to be interested in attracting business from elderly customers as this is clearly not ADA compliant. We will never return.
