We walked in and went to the bar area, the floor was sticky not just in one area, everywhere. The roof was leaking and there were buckets to catch the water. The bartender was less than attentive and we ordered mich ultra and received Miller Lite between her texting and talking to her friends at the bar we weren't able to get them exchanged . We paid for them and definitely didn't finish them. We shared a chicken bacon ranch wrap with fries which was good. The fries were hot and the wrap was tasty. Our waitress was very nice, but admitted to have quit a while ago, and that they were so short staff she got asked back. She was very personable. Drinks were good, we ordered the Sampler- the wings were cold, the burger buns were just not working for the little burger, Pierogies were alright, best part was the cheese cubes. For a meal I ordered the Stromboli, my boyfriend got chicken fajitas and my mom got a salad with shrimp. The food came out and was alright. My boyfriend ended up with chicken and my moms shrimp, so they exchanged shrimp to her salad. After I asked for a box twice and then ended up getting a box on our way out to put my food. I understand short staff currently, so it's hard to judge. The atmosphere of a sports bar is what we wanted. We will go back in hopes that things change around for them. read more

Firstly, I do admire that you bring your kids in to work to help out but they really should not be involved in food prep. $13.99 for three "street tacos with shrimp". Cold flour tortillas that were obviously just taken out of the bag. Some lettuce and three shrimp in each. It was so unappetising in every sense of the word. Maybe the other options are better but if you do not want to serve a certain menu item, and clearly that was the case here, then don't offer it. I brought my family and mother in law here for Mother's Day dinner and we all have more bad to say than we do good about this restaurant. we had a waitress that was extremely nice and helpful and full of great energy. I wish I could say our food was as good as she was. My Nashville hot chicken sandwich was sickening and my stomach is in pain still as I'm writing this, the Nashville hot sauce they put on the chicken was black and tasted awful and honestly ruined my entire meal. The table ordered mozzarella triangles and they came out almost not even cooked and disgusting. My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it was more fat than meat. Aside from the waitress we had everyone else that works there is all but braindead and interacting with them was a chore on its own. We won't be coming back here at all. read more

The only reason I give Aroogas 4 stars instead of 5 is there are just too many TVs, it is very weird. Otherwise it is awesome here! There are so many pages and items on the menu there is definitely something for everyone. There are specials all day, every day for 6$ pitchers of various beers and boozes. I literally have been going to Arooga's since before it opened. I was the first guest there the night they had their soft opening. I am a huge fan of the concept and the food but they still continue to disappoint with their service. EVERY time I get take out from them it's incorrect. Two weeks ago I ordered their side of fries with the beer cheese flight. I checked the bag at pickup and there were about 10 fries in the container with the chipotle ketchup -which comes with the fries always- the cheese flight was missing. I told the hostess and she fixed. If I don't check the order EVERY single time.....I get home and find something missing. Do not ever leave this place with you take out without checking it. Tonight I had my daughter grab the food and my side order of sauce was missing. Come on Aroogas...I want to love you but you're making it so hard. Sounds like a break up song, LMAO! read more

I'm sad to share, that the quality of the wings have tanked. One would think a wing place would source quality wings, but Arooga's seems to continually cut corners resulting in poor quality food. This place has REALLY gone downhill the last several months when they brought in a new management team (boyfriend and girlfriend). Tonight was a total shit show. Packed bar for Sunday Night Football. One bartender, who was cranking out drinks like the pro that she is. Food ticket times, however, were 40-50 minutes. Food routinely cold. Bartender expressed her frustration to the clearly incompetent manager who sent HER home. Three quarters of the bar cashed out and left with her. The over his skies manager tried to run the bar. Had no idea how to make drinks, had no idea where items were behind the bar and his drafts were served with a couple of inches of foam, this aggravating the remaining customers. To top it off, an employee got into a verbal altercation with fellow workers and a former employee. The staff is poorly trained, poor attitudes and the management has no control of the entire establishment. Will be interesting to see how long it is until this place goes under. read more

We were Visiting the area and looking for a place to get some sort of healthy meal. Decided to try Aroogas and were happy with our choice. We were greeted with friendliness and told about the business - they pride themselves on being "green" and having healthy choices. We had the "super greens" salad and fish tacos. Salad was a nice size and had a very interesting and yummy Acai Pomegranate dressing. Fish tacos were made with blackened, grilled tilapia and were very good as well. Manager and server checked to make sure everything was to our liking. Huge menu with lots of choices! I wasn't impressed at all with my first visit here. We sat on the bar side at a tall table which I did like allot. I like the taller tables, they work better for me and are more comfortable. The waitress did take our drink orders soon after we were seated but it took 15 to 20 minutes to actually get our drinks, strike 1. I was trying to figure out why it was taking so long to get our drinks because we were sitting basically right in front of the bar and it wasn't really all that busy. I took notice that the bar tender/beer pourer was way more interested in flirting with a dude sitting at the bar and putting on lip stick than actually pouring anyones beers. They did have a very nice tap selection there, however almost half of them were still corporate beers. I have to laugh when I see that and especially when someone (sitting behind us) asks for the beer list and then still orders a Coors Light? We were there on Saturday 2/25/12 for lunch so we put in for a appetizer, I believe it was the crab pretzel. And then ordered our sandwiches for lunch. They have it set up that another person brings the meal out for the waitress and they missed our appetizer all together. So that was pretty much strike 2 for us and strike 3 was the food wasn't all that good. I had the Pittsburger which is a egg over easy on top of a bacon cheeseburger. Well what they brought me was a broken yoke egg fried hard on a over cooked bacon cheeseburger. Here is the thing, and please take note Aroogas. if your going to have a extensive tap list don't have 50% of them be corporate beer. And have staff that knows what beers are so they can help your patrons make beer decision that go well with the food. I was having a hard time understanding why they had such a extensive tap system but they were not pouring many beers. I was shocked at that because every tap room we've ever been at that has a extensive tap system in it you always see a pint being filled. Thats the point of having all those taps. And please cut your menu down a few pages. There is no reason to have that large of a menu in a "sports bar". It is way better to coot and serve 10 different meals that taste fantastic than serve 30 that are just ok. Take it from a fat guy that loves to eat, cook, and drink beer....I know what I'm talking about. Where do I start. We had never tried Arooga's before and decided to pick up an order to take home for the NFL playoff Sunday. We call in at 1:00, they tell us an hour so I show up just before 2:00. I pull into the parking lot, still covered in ice (way to consider your liabilities) and walk inside. Ask where to pick up my take out order. I am met with "Not here" and nothing more than a point to the bar. Great start! Now, over at the bar, it takes me almost 10 full minutes to have anyone ask me if I need service. All the while three servers are huddled around an old drunk in the corner, laughing it up and ignoring customers. (Two walked out with some expletive laden calls to the servers) Finally, I pay for the order and get told it will be right up. While I wait at the bar I watch three separate people behind the bar. Each one of the three would put their foot on the cooler while chatting with customers. Disgusting! Next, I watch them pour from the taps. First they put the still wet glass right on the tap itself. Then they let the beer flow until the tap in submerged. Hello bacteria! Now it is about 2:30 and I am informed that they are out of fries. Are you kidding me?!? How do you run out of fried at 2PM on a playoff Sunday. Finally at nearly 3:00 my food comes out. Two hours after being ordered. I was thrilled to leave the obnoxiously loud bar and head home. It did not get any better. From the critique of my group: The burger was less than average. The nachos are basically chips in a box with some cheese goo in a cup. The "home made chips" were fair. I had 10 wings, a soda, and an order of funnel cake fries. My bill was $26.00. The old bay wings were so dry that the meat was like toothpicks! I mentioned it to the waiter and he did get 5 new wings. The 5 buffalo wings were not as dry, but 3 of the 5 were cold. It must be that they pre cook the wings and put them under a warmer. Today I ordered 20 wings and got 17. 2 weeks ago it was 16. Back before COVID, the worst offender was I ordered 20 and got 14. For the price they charge, it's a huge ripoff. Reminds me of a Hooters/Fridays/typical American sports bar/restaurant kinda place. Food is good. Drinks are good, not strong enough for me but eh. Service has always been good when I go. Hasn't exactly knocked my socks off, but they are friendly and attentive. Big plus, they play ALL the UFC pay per view fights and it's usually less crowded than hooters on fight night. read more

I'll start by saying I do like Arooga's, however it is not my first choice if I am looking to get wings. I mention the wings, because that seems to be what they are known for. While their wings(traditional & boneless) are perfectly fine, there is a certain chain restaurant in the area who's sauces I like a little better. I've had other food here as well, and I have yet to be disappointed. I've only ever been on the bar side, but the service has been friendly and the food good. They have good happy hour specials on domestic beer and on Monday's they do all you can eat wings and fries for about $12. I think they have great fries here. The beer selection is not too bad either, as they usually have a few smaller microbrews on tap. They also have quite a few TV's so that you don't miss your game. They DO NOT allow smoking here which is also nice. This is definitely a place I will return to. read more
