Spacious patio with a view, but mediocre food and service. This is from a visit about a month ago. Restaurants were starting to open again. I guess masks were still optional? There were a lot of diners who weren't wearing masks, even when walking around. I know you don't have to wear them once you're seated, but these people were just walking around care-free like there wasn't a pandemic going on. Anyways, my friends and I got a table on the patio. It was under some gazebo type structure. We happened to be situated right next to the golf course. Oh yeah, this restaurant is on the premises of a golf course. There was a putting green about 50 feet from our table. People were zooming around on golf carts on a nearby path. The view was actually gorgeous. Golf courses are generally easy on the eyes. Nice, sweeping landscapes and lush greens. It was like eating in a park. We had a green server. Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. It's obvious he was still learning. He was certainly friendly enough. A bit awkward, but I'll never hold that against someone. I think our server was so new and nervous that he didn't want to visit our table. So after the introduction and delivering our drinks, didn't come back until he brought out our food. And then he didn't visit our table again until we were done with our food. I was super hungover and needed water to live. But our server only showed up every 15-20 minutes. I felt like a prune out there. Just shriveling up. I wanted to die. The pasta was strange. Just flavorless, bland, mushy macaroni. The sauce was sickeningly sweet. Might as well been Ragu. I couldn't eat more than a few bites. Maybe it was my hangover. But I took the rest home. I attempted to eat it the next day with a sober heart and mind. Still tasted like ass. One saving grace was the bloody Mary. My god, it absolutely hit the spot. Sadly they didn't allow any additions such as bacon strips or shrimp, but their base model was fan-freakin'-tastic. Maybe the best Bloody Mary I've had in its purest form. Perfect mix of spices, and oh so refreshing. If you decide to come here, you might get COVID. Don't feel bad about calling others out for not wearing masks. They know better. We went pretty late, around 9:30ish, and were seated immediately. We were taken care of only about a minute after sitting down, so fast service, but also not many other people there. Our waitress, Lauren, was pretty good and knew a lot about the menu and is great at suggesting what items to get. The drinks were fantastic tasting, and relatively modern prices. Our food came out quick, and we didn't feel rushed despite how late it was. It's a nice little restaurant with a bar, and it wasn't too rowdy inside but the music could've been turned down a bit. Oh, we also got the cheese & fruit platter and it was pretty damn good and cheap compared to other places! Grapes were a little brown so the fruit could be a bit fresher. read more

I had the similar subpar experience as past yelpers. Echoing the others, it's a pretty view overlooking the golf course, nice patio, and shaded from the sun. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the poor service. We waited and waited, and waited for our drinks. Order your refill when you're halfway through your current drink and you might get lucky and have it by the time you finish your first drink. It's a salad, so difficult to mess up, but the croutons were uneatable. I think they were homemade? But they were soft, chewy and had a strange taste/after taste. Last time I checked, croutons are meant to be crunchy and add texture. Our server was unpleasant and seemed very angry. My friends and I walked over here after snow tubing nearby on Saturday afternoon. The hostess was not very good. She definitely lacked customer service skills. She did not greet our group or the larger group in front of us nor did she seem to be interested in seating us. My friend had to approach her and request to be seated. Everything went very well after that. Our waiter Simba was very kind and attentive and made up for the initial experience. My group felt that Simba showed great service. Our group enjoyed the food. I had a tasty margarita pizza. I also had the chocolate dessert that had the whip cream. The dessert was not quite what I was expecting but it was still ok. The stuffed churros that my friend order were tastier than the chocolate dessert. The music that was playing was good. I would return to this establishment. read more

Ate here with a large group of friends on a Saturday night. I was impressed they were able to accommodate our table of 9 during prime time, with no wait! When we were seated, our server brought everyone a water immediately, which I appreciated as we looked the menu over. I was very shocked by their happy hour special - half off drinks from 5:30-7:30 every day of the week! You really can't beat that deal. I was impressed with the drinks I tried - I had a pineapple flavored crush and a mojito, and they were both very delicious. I cannot stress enough how great I thought our waitress was during our meal. I can only imagine that having a table of 9 would be a little stressful during busy dinner times, but she managed to be attentive and get everyone's orders perfectly. I went with a plain cheese pizza. I was excited to try the pizza after hearing how great it is. It was good! There was nothing special about it, it could have used a little something to give it a zing, but overall I was happy with it and ate the entire thing. My husband ordered the French dip pizza and he was very happy with his choice! I would definitely come back here for a nice casual meal. Very average food. Was told we could sub out potatoes for small side salads so we did, only to be charged a $5 each up charge. Wish we would have been told. Also, waiter got our salads wrong no big deal, we switched but my husband can't have onions and his salad was full of them. I got the skirt steak, very bland, no flavor at all. read more

Server was overwhelmed and I tried to take that into consideration, but she screwed up the appetizer order, forgot the side for the entree and received a chicken quesadilla without the chicken! Food quality was just ok from what I was able to eat. My daughters wrap was ok according to her, but then again, it was a Buffalo Chicken wrap..... so tough to rave about or screw up... It's on a golf course attached to the hotel at Heritage Hills. Atmosphere was as expected for a bar & grill that's essentially the 19th Hole. After a 2 hour plus drive for an event in the area it was a Forgetful experience. While I would probably book at the hotel again, I wouldn't eat here. read more

Definitely bought in small ravioli... 4 of them, i was expecting 5 large ravioli with a nice medley of artichokes, feta, and olives with the ravioli pillow side up. Wife bought pork chop, it was raw toward the bone. yes I understand a perfect medium on a rib chop with some pink this was dead raw. Broccoli looked like it got in a fight with a lawn mower. Love it here! We sat outside on the patio and had such a great time. Our waitress (so sorry I forgot her name but she has pink hair!) was so friendly and attentive. She even helped me pick out what to eat and I'm so glad she did. We got the calamari, crab fondue as apps. I got the white pizza and it was SO GOOD. We went here for a going away get together, about 12 of us. We didn't all arrive at the same time, I'm not sure if the waiter was waiting for us all to arrive but we sat an hour without him asking if we wanted to get any food, he had gotten our drinks but never asked how we wanted to proceed. I finally told him we were ready. We did ask if our food could be brought when ready and no need to bring out all together, yet we all still waited another half hour for our food. I got a margarita pizza and it tasted good but was pretty soggy in the middle. Since it rained we also couldn't enjoy the patio. Happy hour drink prices were good though. Even during COVID you can get your drinks served fast. My server Winter was fast and served us efficiently during this pandemic. We had green tea shots and many old fashions. He made sure each one was made correctly and were strong. A crab dip fondue app to top it all off. Highly recommend his service and will ask for his section again. read more

My husband and I went there last night. First time in a year or more. Horrible, horrible food. The service was actually very good but the menu has clearly changed for the worse! Appetizers that are "supposed" to serve 2-4 people are enough for 1 person. If that (and we are NOT big eaters). Salads were ridiculously small for the amount they charge. Chairs on the patio need rubber stoppers as the literal screeching noise of chairs going across a slate patio was both annoying and obnoxious! Tables were unbalanced,....the entire meal was enough to send us getting out of there asap! Knickers Pub & Grill is the casual sports bar side of the Heritage Hills operation. The management is really nice and so is the wait and bar staff. That's a plus in what can be a madhouse environment sometimes, the bar at a resort. I liked the sawdust bowling game (not sure what it's called) and there were plenty of TV's for us to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs. Penguins! Fliers! Rah rah rah! Knickers could do itself a favor and knock down the East wall of the tiny bar and expand into the restaurant. I mean, the bar is more popular than the restaurant and it feels a little bit cramped inside. The star here, though, is the patio. The HUGE patio with tons of seating and levels and heaters. And on weekends, music. Heritage Hills really keeps the local performers in mind and I love that. Okay, so a guy playing Bare Naked Ladies covers wasn't a huge hit with me, but some of our group was really digging it! The prices are very reasonable, $2.50 for a Yuengling? Hook it up! But clean your taps more often. Yuengling in the bottle tastes about ten times better than the fizzy bland tapped version at Knickers. The Harp did not have the same problem. (No disrespect to fellow Yuengling admirers!). If you're into apetizers, the wings and calamari and crab dip looked really good. And the patio was amazing, seriously. Service here was just down-right bad. It's sad; as a hotel bar they actually have an indication of how many guest they might expect. And yet, of the 4 different nights I've stayed here, they've been woefully understaffed each night. And even when things were slow, the staff seemed to either disappear or go into slow motion. The foods not bad - if you can get it. My last (recent) stay took an hour and a half before they took our order. Until then, we had to go to the bar and get our own drinks. Sat down to dinner at 7pm, got food around 9pm, and left. Had every intention of spending a lot of money and drinking into the night (there were 12 of us). Used to be a regular stop for us up until Covid. Finally we went for dinner. So disappointed. Food was mediocre. Service I must say was excellent. But the place is filthy and the metal tables outside had so much dried up food in the crevices. The outside, mostly the tables need power washed. We were sat at a dirty table to start and had to ask to have it cleaned. A bird had done their business on it which I am sure happens a lot being outside. But the dried up food that encrusted those tables needs to be taken care of. This place is to beautiful to let it go like that. read more

My Friend and I got a menus from a server and was told to sit anywhere, so we sat outside with a gorgeous view of the golf course that was next to other customers. We were waiting for about 20-30 for someone to serve us, but no one came, even waving them over and they walked the other way. They repeatedly went to other guests around us and avoided our table. After waiting my friend went to a server to speak to a manager about the situation that happened. Their excuse was they thought someone else was coming to serve us. The manager said they didn't expect to be packed on a Sunday afternoon. Which, I saw with my own eyes, wasn't that packed. They had about 15 tables occupied. They gave us a gift card to make up for the service, but that doesn't excuse their service, especially being out of state. So in conclusion, we went to Texas Roadhouse instead.
