I dined at the Arriba Mexican Grill on a Saturday evening. We ordered Chicken Street Tacos and Chicken Fajitas. Food was okay. Portion size was pretty good. The chicken fajitas had a lot of chicken. Service was not that great. We had to ask for water multiple times before we got it. There was only one server. I went here on the Labor Day weekend. Maybe they are not used to having huge crowds. Need a change from burgers for days , we decided to try some mexican food. the reviews seems pretty decent. but the food is a little disappointing. They have a salsa bar but we were seated right by the door, and didnt see it and the waiter never mentioned about it. we only found out when asked for some hot sauce. that's already the end of the meal. saw the hostess was wiping the menu with windex, i dont know what's the purpose with windex that does not sanitize the menu. all the food ordered was mediocre, my grilled chicken fajita was not well seasoned. the taco are also very basic like just a stir fried ground beef with nothing and no flavor in it. First off, Bryce has pretty limited dining options, so thank goodness Arriba is here to offer something beyond burgers and steaks! We were so over the usual fare that I was almost heartbroken when we first came on a day it was closed, knowing we'd have to wait until the next day. Once we were in, we were seated quickly. The servers were friendly, though the service moved at a slower pace than what you'd find in the city--pretty typical for the area, though, so no complaints. We took the chance to enjoy the scenery. The chips and salsa were a real lifesaver after all the heavy meals we'd been having. Was the food amazing? Not really. I ordered the tacos, which were decent, but nothing to write home about. They lacked a bit in seasoning and flavor--kind of like the ones my dad would make growing up in Texas. But compared to another burger, it was definitely a welcome change. All in all, I still recommend Arriba, and I'll happily return here any time I'm back in Bryce. read more

There's not alot of food offerings within Bryce Canyon that are actually good, but after trying Arriba and Bryce Canyon Pines, I think we preferred the former. The menu is pretty small, but they seemed to have a lot of the basics like burritos, fajitas and tacos. I got the carne asada street tacos, and I really enjoyed them for the most part. The tortilla, rice, cilantro and tender beef were done just right. The tortilla chips, though, were kind of stale, but they have a salsa bar so you can pick one to your preferred spice level. I give the food 4 stars, but the service wasn't the best, hence the 3 star review. Our waiter forgot to give our waters until the food came out. Also, I asked for no beans and that part was neglected. It does get very busy with people, even close to closing time. Luckily we didn't have to wait at all on a holiday weekend. read more

We were visiting Bryce Canyon for a couple of nights and noticed there are not many food options in or near the park. After yelping restaurants in the area I saw Arriba Mexican Grill and we thought we would try it out. They currently have temporary signage on the side of the road so it would really help the business if they had a big sign on the building itself or if at the least on the door as we almost passed it up. While the restaurant is nothing fancy they have pretty good Mexican food, good service and a tasty salsa bar. Give it a try if you are in the Bryce Canyon area read more

Hands down the best food option around here. We've been to Bryce a few times and although the park is amazing, the food options in the city isn't something amazing. However, Arriba is such a good find. The food was tasty and the jalapeños (from salsa bar) was on-point spicy!! 10/10 would recommend. Staff was nice and attentive. Probably the worst Mexican food we have ever had! We stopped here hungry after a long day in Bryce Canyon. We had chile verde and chile colorado. The sauces tasted like they came out of a can. The meat tasted precooked with loads of soupy sauce dumped on top. The refried beans also tasted canned. The red salsa that came with the chips tasted like tomato sauce. There was one green chunky salsa that was actually good. Has to put this all over my food to make it edible. The server didn't ask us how the food was (he probably didn't want to hear our opinion). I don't know why this place has so many good reviews on yelp. I should have looked at the bad ones which are the only valid ones. read more

There aren't many options near Bryce Canyon National Park but my mom and I decided to come here. Being from San Diego, I have high expectations for Mexican food. With that said, I thought the food was alright. The salsa they give you is kinda odd. There is a salsa bar where you can get other salsas and toppings for your food. We were told the salsa bar existed by a different person who wasn't our server which is weird that our server didn't tell us. I got the carne asada street tacos and it comes with rice and beans. The guacamole was delicious! The carne asada meat itself needed to be seasoned more. My mom got the carne asada burrito which is pretty big. This Mexican restaurant is in a somewhat isolated part of the country just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. One factor that is unique to the area is that you have to drive to get anywhere. For example, if you are in Bryce Canyon National Park, you have to drive 30 minutes to get to any restaurants in Panguitch. OR - you can choose to remain nearby and frequent the smattering of restaurants in the immediate area. Side Note: If you grocery shop, the nearest Walmart is 1 1/2 hours away in Cedar City. OR - you can go to Joe's Main Street Grocery Store in Panguitch (prepare for some sticker shock). I mention the above in this review because it is relevant, in my opinion, to the factors that come into play when making 'restaurant choices'. We decided to try Arriba as an option to the limited choices in the immediate area of Bryce Canyon Park. I had the Chile Colorado plate. The stewed meat was very tender, great flavor and was sauced well. The beans & rice were typical but went well rolled into the corn tortilla with the beef. It was a safe choice. The dish was further helped by the condiment bar of sauces. Advice: choose well. read more

Best Mexican food you'll find in Utah hands-down. The chicken and cheese quesadillas or huge! Not only were they generously stuffed with flavorful ingredients, but these were some of the best quesadillas I've ever had in my life. We also ordered the Carne Asada enchilada. Please keep in mind Arriba, Mexican Grill only offers green sauce, no red sauce is made in the kitchen. However, please do not let that deter you if you are at enchilada lover. This food is so good and so fresh! It was such a great place to stop after being in Bryce Canyon all day. The food comes out pretty quick which is extremely appreciated especially after hiking all day, our waitress was very sweet and this isn't a very busy area, or at least when we were here it was fairly quiet if you're craving some chips and salsa and some Mexican food after being in Bryce all day definitely hit Arriba Mexican Grill. Staying in Bryce and tried this place due to Yelp. We were seated right away. Our waitress did not know any answers to our questions and didn't offer to get the answers for us. She had absolutely no personality. They do have a nice salsa bar and gave us hot and crispy tortilla chips. I ordered the chicken burrito. It was decent but the chicken was a bit over cooked and tough. I always order whole beans when I can but they didn't have any. I was pleasantly surprised I like their refried beans. Somewhat of a hidden gem that's not marked very well on the side of the road but close to entrance to Bryce Canyon and they had fun Mexican music playing and our server, Alexis, he was great and very personable. I had the Carne Asada street tacos and my husband had Carnitas burritos and we had some great local beer and some red wine. They have what looks like a salad bar, but it's actually a salsa bar that has different types of salsa you can choose from for your meal. The decor here is absolutely perfect - the large windows let the sunset seep in to the decor and it was beautiful after a tiring day at Bryce. The service was good. The food was a welcome change from all the other options that mostly serve sandwiches and burgers. I'm a New Yorker and I can tell you about good food. However, when my wife and I travel, it is rare that we come across a restaurant as authentic as Arriba Mexican Grill. When we first walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere and authentic decoration. However, what stood out was the chef, Alfredo, who had greeted each guest and pointed them to a salsa bar. The variety of the salsa options was like nothing we had ever seen or tasted before on the east coast. The chef mentioned he has made all 6 varieties that day and to try each one, which we proceeded to do in quantities. It was delicious. We even put them on our entrees. It was truly the authentic Mexican experience we were looking for. Alfredo truly cares about his customers, and stops by to be sure everyone is enjoying their experience. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos and wanted to make sure the slaw didn't have a mayo base (amazed that people do this to a taco but it happens). An individual I presume was the owner came out to make sure the order was correct and confirmed there was no mayo in their slaw. 3. I ordered the carne asada quesadilla. Fresh. Flavorful and filling. 4. Both meals came with beans and rice which we typically ignore. 5. They had Golden Spike on tap. Their menu lists a couple others but they happened to be out. 6. For those of you who don't eat Mexican, they have burgers and a fish basket on the menu as well. This place has a family feel to it. Bryce Canyon is hurting for good food. This is the best food in the area. We had guacamole, shrimp tacos, and chicken fajitas. The shrimp tacos were full of shrimp but could have used a little sauce. The chicken fajitas was a smaller portion than I have usually seen, but they were good and had a nice presentation. Although it doesn't look like much from outside, it is decorated nicely inside.
