Went there for breakfast around 10:15am as they said online and over the phone that they were open for breakfast from 7-11am. We got there and were told to order from the counter. So we ordered and began waiting. A few minutes later someone came out of the kitchen and shouted, "The diner is closed!" When I asked the staff at the counter I was told breakfast was for take-out only and that the dining room was closed. If there had been signs in the restaurant, info on the website, or if we had been told sooner we would've found a different restaurant to eat at. On top of that they included a 20% gratuity on the bill. For 4 people, we spent more than $85. But we ended up having to take our food and drive back to our hotel and eat inside our room. Stopped in at the Red Dirt Diner while in Hatch and I'm so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious--fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. There is not much to eat in Hatch Utah we tried the bar down the street, but they would not let kids in so we still mowed upon this place and glad we did we were not that hungry. We just got nachos and fried corn for a place being small kinda in middle of nowhere food was awesome so we came back for breakfast the next morning and the breakfast was amazing. As my wife and I kick off our adventure around the country we were pleased to find that dinner in our first town was so amazing! Not only was the food great, but the service was spot on. They did not even blink when we mentioned Hiro, our service dog, and found us a spot where we could eat without bothering anyone else, our request not their suggestion. I think they would have put us anywhere we wanted to go. I had the Cowboy Burger, a 10 oz bison burger with a side of onion rings. Huge is an understatement. It was juicy, hot and flavorful. Jana had a hamburger that was equally as hot and juicy, with a side of great fresh cut fries. The place is no-nonsense, casual, but clean and comfortable. The price is not McDonalds level, but the food was great. The burgers were big enough that we concluded that we could have easily shared one and still feel well fed. We walked up from our campsite. We weren't hungry enough for burgers or sandwiches, so we, 4 of us, ordered appetizers. Staff was friendly and attentive, with food coming out hot and fairly quick. We ordered the special which was Cheeseburger dip (a nacho cheese, crumbled hamburger mixture in a cast iron dish) pretty tasty. Cowboy Corn (fried battered balls of gooey cream cheese, corn & jalapeño) with two different dips, reddish spicy, and a white sauce I did not try. Very good! Southwest egg rolls, too doughy for us, and the bone in wings naked with sauces on the side. Highly recommend the bone in wings naked. They came out crispy with just the right amount of seasoning, you don't need sauce! Both the wings and Cowboy corn we took home and had them the next day after air frying to reheat them. The only thing we wish they served would be steak or prime rib. We would have gone back to try that. Great views, quiet ambiance. My wife and 3 kids just left Bryce and as we were driving we saw this place on the side of the road. We decided to wing it and pull in. We were skeptical at 1st as there were only 2 other cars in the dirt lot. Upon entering we were greeted and seated immediately in the back with a postcard type view of the outside of Bryce Canyon. After us more parties started arriving and filling the place up. The very nice lady took our order tableside. We ordered wings off the bat and our dinner. The wings came 1st and we split them and we all agreed they were top notch. I ordered the cowboy burger which was Bison meat (2 patties) with Bacon and it came with sidewinder fries. I planned on eating half and saving the rest but it was too good and I devoured the whole plate. My older son ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. My wife ordered the patty melt, my other kids ordered kids burger and kids nuggets. Both of which were not your typical kids type meal. The quality was better. Needless to say we polished off our plates completely. Even my 2 younger kids who never finish their food. Its rare when every single one of us is happy with the food but we all agreed everything was amazingly good. I will 100% definitely be stopping by again next time I am in the area. Very impressed. Only negative was they are newly opened and dont have their alcohol license just yet. Dont sleep on this place. Stop by and guaranteed you wont be disappointed. read more

Perfect balance of ingredients and cooked to perfection. The second recommendation was the Fish Sandwich with bent arm fries. Fish was perfectly cooked and juicy, the fries had the perfect amount of crispiness. Followed by Lemon Berry Marscapone that is absolutely mouth watering. The food was really good. I would have rather been waited on instead of ordering at a counter, then they bring your meal to you. They need silverware, not plastic utincils. I needed a knife to cut my burger in half, and they didn't have one. They also need fountain drinks. Bottled water and cans of pop don't cut it. I really want this place to thrive. We stopped on our way out of Bryce Canyon going back to Kanab and were very pleased with our experience. Lots of great options on the menu but don't be the person who doesn't order the burger and then looks at the plates of everyone who else who did... get the burger. We had a great time chatting with the friendly staff who were very helpful pointing us in the right direction. The view from the window is amazing with cattle grazing in front of the neighboring forests and mountains. We had the pleasure of a nearly full moon rising as we enjoyed our meal. read more
