I have been here a few times now. The IPA selection is really good! However, the bathrooms here are so stinky and disgusting! All the bathrooms are unisex which makes it very inconvenient for the patrons who need to sit on the toilet. Every single time the toilet seats were up when I had to use them. So, the three times I've been here I've had to touch toilet seats full of urine with the toilet seat covers to put the seats down. Why toilet seat covers you ask? Because they have also consistently been out of toilet paper. Makes me question the cleanliness of other things there... read more

The Covina area has been blessed recently with great breweries, and Arrow Lodge is one. They have great beer, and specifically, I'm a fan of their multiple Hazy IPA's. They have some arcade games, pinball machines and board games for entertainment, which makes this spot a great place to hang out and chill with friends. I dig the rustic aesthetic that's popular with breweries nowadays. The outdoor patio is small, but it has a cute swing and a few stools and benches if you need air. They don't serve any substantial food, but all the times I've been, this bomb bbq food vendor has been there and it's good stuff. They sell beers by the can and crowlers - not sure on growlers yet. They are dog and kid-friendly, so you can bring the family. It gets pretty packed in the evenings later in the week so come a bit early before the line gets SUPER long. read more

There is something special about this brewing company. My girlfriend lives in the area and I was a little bit skeptical when I first came here about a year ago. Since I frequent many different breweries and many breweries are very generically the same. This is not the case for this place. First off the owner is there all the time. He's super friendly and accompanied with his business he too has a cult following. You're going to see the same faces as well as the same type of people going here. Which are like many breweries people just there to have a good time, good conversation and very good beer. The inside is very unique has a camp/traditional brewery setting inside. Which also continues the theme into their beers. Sadly I've only had one type of beer and in the dozen times that I have came here I have only tried one type of beer. Which is the puff pastry stout. I suggest you only get it on tap. I don't believe that they have this Brew in bottles since I've only purchased it in the four can bundle. Which I don't suggest you purchase mainly because if you are not versed in flavor profiles of bottled versus canned versus draft you're going to hate the metallic flavor of the can. Which I too don't particularly enjoy. Hence why I always go with a lovely draft. Understand their puff pastry is extremely dense and has a very strong profile. This thing is like the Dodge Hellcat of stouts and comes in a pint which I can respect cuz I don't particularly like drinking from goblets. The thing that really sells me on this place besides their community cult following. Is there tenacity behind throwing events. This place is like a theme park for the brewing community. Damn near every time I show up to this place they have something going on. They have bands playing outside, they have cornhole competitions, they even had an event where Murs the rapper had hosted an event / concert where they had different vendors you can buy from, listen to live music, buy brews. The whole nine yards as well as meet Murs himself. I can see great things from this place whether they stay at that location or set up another location elsewhere. read more

I read about em in the recent edition of Beer Paper (they were the cover story) and decided to check em out. Tried almost everything on the menu and left most impressed with Don't Sweat the Technic orange vanilla milkshake IPA, and Arrowmatic double IPA. I personally thought everything was well-brewed. Arrowmatic was incredibly refreshing since the haze-craze has devoured most breweries' IPA menus, and it's clear that brewer Amy Heller has not forgotten the art of a clean, wet, beautiful-smelling NON-hazy IPA. Their Vienna lager was also good. I tend to judge a brewery by its pilsner so hopefully they'll have one available next time I'm in the area. Mallow Dramatic has generated some buzz and it's good, too- first time I've enjoyed a beer with marshmallow in it, and I've tried a few. Random note, they ousted Hair of the Dog in Portland for my favorite flight setup of all time. We were served by Brianna who was good to talk with and would've been stoked if the brewer were there to chat with too but there's always next time! read more

I've been here twice and always have a good time. Beer selection is on point. They are constantly changing the menu and I love trying new things. They also have plenty of arcade games. On top of that they also have plenty of seating. The venue itself is clean and inviting. Small parking lot but there is street parking. There are plenty of surrounding places to eat. Great spot. Great little spot. Love the cabin decor. The workers are courteous and check in to make sure you're getting everything you need. They have a good little variety of beer and they same to change and update the options with the months. They stay open to a good time which is nice for those last minute, late night runs. Really could be a nice brewery due to location and convenience and the ambiance of the inside but here are my gripes: So there is this young woman who was pouring the beers, and they must have ran out of a tap version of a beer because she was opening up cans when they would order it. So instead of opening the can and handing the patrons a cup to pour it in, she proceeds to fill up the cup which isn't big enough to house the entire contents of the can and then instead of giving the person what's left she just dumps the rest of the can over the cup so that it over fills and wastes about 1/4th of the cans contents as she spills some just walking this over filled cup to the person. She would do this to every single can she poured and it drove me insane. People are paying good money for the whole pint and instead you're giving them 12oz of beer instead of 16oz because you don't want to use the correct size glass. Insane. Another thing that bugs me about most breweries these days is the lack of variety. I mean sure IPAs are good sometimes.. But when 10/14 of your beers are IPAs and the rest are thick stouts with just one sour... I mean c'mon. Pretty much half the people were ordering the sour beer as it is the only thing that's not an IPA and they ran out quick. Anyway.. Enough ramble. Probably won't be back. read more

They always have a great tap list here. Comfortable relaxed lodgey vibe. Dog friendly inside and out. Great service. Recently they added several pinball machines. Tried the Kolsch with mostra coffee this past weekend and it was unusual. Gose to the Wild is a Gose, kind of tart, fruity and salty. The Kirby, a kolsch, is always a good safe choice. read more

Went here on 04/13 around 9pm. I ordered 2 full pours and wanted to get 2 tasters of the imperial. When placing the order for all the beers I was told they couldn't serve tasters cause they were too busy and try again when there's no line (there were only 3 people in line behind me). After reviewing the 2 full pours I confirmed that I could get tasters later and the beer tender said yes. Drink our beer and go back up to get the tasters and she says "well you've waited patiently so I guess I can get you those tasters now"... As she walked away annoyed. Excuse me for inconveniencing your staff and trying to give your brewery my money. Was going to buy some 4-packs but honestly after the annoyance that was shown by the beer tender working that night I decided not too spend any further money there. And I won't be spending any money there in the future. Go to Alosta down the road. They're greatful for the business and are more than happy to serve you and appreciate the business instead of being annoyed by it. read more

Beer tasting can be an interesting and rewarding way to discover new beers. Arrow Lodge Brewing is a very small brewery in Covina; a great place to chill and hangout with friends over a nice cold beer. I came here with a female friend; we had a good time. I had the Pale King Ale. Prices are relatively $ affordable. The bar is a hidden gem along Arrow Hwy, it's relatively small but its ambiance is pretty laid back n' cool. They have board games, good music and a TV for entertainment. Bartender (Cody) is friendly and competent. A nice dude! Overall, I highly recommend this bar to any locals and visitors. read more

Arrow Lodge Brewing is a step up from other breweries in the area. Their decor and vibe make it super welcoming for all the enjoy. Their beer is pretty standard, but I must say they have a few beers (1-3) where they do try some pretty neat and creative stuff. One of their beers was brewed with rose pedal water, another with different spices you normally don't see in beer. It's definitely exciting to try! They have plenty of seating and have loads of arcade games to add to their chill atmosphere. Their service is pretty decent, not top notch but not awful either. I would say pretty average! It is probably the best brewery in my 15 mile radius, on par with Homage Brewing (Homage has perfected their Belgian style beer but Arrow Lodge makes the better...everything else I dare say??) First time, probably won't come back. Service is awful. Ordered a flight after sitting at the bar for 15-20 minutes unattended Then proceeded to wait over an hour and a half to close out. Arrow lodge is located in West Covina but makes you feel like your visiting a cozy cabin in the woods. Inside you find modern high tables and long pub tables. The decor includes a mounted moose head and an antler chandelier. To take things further beer flights are served on wooden logs. Arrow Lodge throws event and we were lucky to attend a beer and doughnut pairing. This event was very interesting and entertaining. So keep an eye out on their event calendar for upcoming events. So if your looking for a great outdoorsy place with great brew but want to stay local visit Arrow Lodge! The two beers my gf and I enjoyed on our visit where: Sass Machine w/Peaches. It's a New England style IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and simcoe hops. Then infused with peaches. This brew is peachy and hoppy. ABV 7% Happy Cal Milk Stout - This Stout is brewed with roasted coffee and cacao nibs. The Stout is sweet and has a nice milky texture. It will make you feel like your drinking a nice warm cup of coffee in a cabin. ABV 5% read more

Ok,,,,I went in tonight to get a pizza from the Pie Trap, and was going to spend some time having beers at the Arrow Lodge while waiting for it. Unfortunately, I was greeted by a man with a long beard who told me that they don't open until 4pm. It was 3:45. I knew the pizza was going to take awhile, so I went outside until 4pm. I walked back in to the pizza place which has an adjoining door to the brewery and asked them again if they were open. Now at this point, all of the chairs were down and the lights were on as these 3 guys that worked there were chatting away at the bar. The guy with the long beard asked me if I was waiting for a pizza, and I replied that I was and that I just wanted to grab a couple of 4 packs of beer. The bearded guy told me it would be another 5 minutes before they open. My pizza was ready at this point, and I told the Owner of the pizza place that I was just waiting for the beer place to open to grab a couple of 4 packs. I waited for another 5 minutes and then thought to myself, whoever owns this beer bar must be doing very well to lose a customer like this. Very piss poor customer service at best and some advice to the person with the beard. Think outside of your own box. Why not gain another customer rather then lose one who shares his experience on a platform like this. Why not grab whatever I needed instead of chatting it up with other employees? Why not walk over to me and tell me that that you were open? I hope the Owner reads this, so he or she can school the employees on how to treat a customer and not lose business. read more

This brewery is a pleasant surprise. Located in the middle of an light industrial center, the exterior reminded me of the many great, similar breweries in San Diego. The interior has also the trappings of a mountain hunting lodge, complete with stacked cord wood, old skis and mounted trophies. Check out the chandelier made of antlers -- very cool. As for the beer, we tried the double IPA "Arrowmatic", the IPA, the milk stout, the gose -- "Old Salty" -- the Saison and "Pale to the King". All were fantastic, although the Gose was a little salty for my taste. There are plenty of board games, a nice sized TV for sports and great crowd. On Saturday a BBQ dinner was catered to a packed house. Totally deserving of five stars. We will be back. read more

I don't come out here to the Covina/azusa area too often anymore, buuuut when I do, I'm definitely going to try and make it in here for a brew. This time around, I will do a better job at being aware of the "line system" they have going on, because I just thought it was like any other bar/brewery...where I just walk up and they take my order. Later on in my visit, I noticed that they had a line going on....not sure if that was a made up line, or if that is their system. The line did get pretty long, so if this is a thing...just take notice. :) Not sure how often they switch the taps, but when I went in, they had like 3 IPA's on tap. I switched from their double ipa and their best buds (or buds best) whichever is the ipa name. haha. So, whichever one is not the ipa, that one is the one my uncle kept ordering which was a chocolately sweetish beer. Their IPA's were pretty darn good. Just like many breweries, they have their small selection of board games, tables to gather round and chat, and some cool video games (if i can remember correctly they were .25cents each) But there were a lot of arcade game selections on each machine. I was actually surprised that not too many people were in that section playing. They have two individual gender neutral restrooms with the sink located outside of the restroom...i'm assuming to make the line go faster. At each bathroom break, i didn't have to wait long at all... so that was good. Lastly, they do have merch on a cool industrial-like decor on the far left side wall. And for all the cool locals and familiar friendly faces, they had a limited edition tee they had just released, I believe, that day. Super cute and cool. So stay connected. read more

Gave us the wrong order of a flight of beers, when mentioned to him to just shrugged and said, "Thats too bad for you!" - great customer service. We needed a brewery in Covina, so Arrow Lodge Brewing is a welcome addition. I love the lodge/cabin vibe. It is cozy inside and a great place to grab a beer with family and friends. They have board games and pin ball machines which is unique from other breweries in the area. My favorite thing about it is the crowd. I've been here several times and have found the crowd to be friendly and very social. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the majority of beers are IPAs (as of May 2019) and I don't care for IPAs. I would like to see more variety. More ales and Goses would be nice. Overall, I would recommend a visit because everyone is open to talking and making friends with each other. I like places where everyone doesn't just keep to themselves. read more

As a member of a home brewing family, I've done my fair share of drinking beer, making beer and doing "research" all the way from San Diego to the Bay area. It's nice that Covina has some small breweries to visit but I feel like Arrow Lodge fell short of the expectations, especially of those set by you, other Yelp reviewers. Two of the beers on their list you couldn't taste as they were only available in cans. I felt the stouts fell short, didn't have a strong enough backbone to call them a stout and the coffee was also missing from the profile. I wish the marshmallow stout was sweeter and that the vanilla was something that stood out, there were a lot of elements of the beers that just didn't equal what they claimed them to be. I'm hopeful that they improve on their recipes but I'll be honest in saying I won't be there to find out. read more

SERIOUSLY WORTH THE TRIP FROM L.A! Came here on a Sunday, after trying their beers at my local watering hole. I am an avid beer drinker, judge, former industry worker, brother to a brewer and have to say, this beer is some of the best I've ever had. I was instantly in love with the Ghosthaze Killah, a danky, smooth, hop-induced double IPA. Also let me just say, as a diehard Wu-Tang fan, the name fits the profile and boldness of the beer. I also tried Clayton Kerhop, an amazing, rich, smooth and creamy IPA. The Best Buds Vanilla IPA was one of the best beers I have ever tasted. To boot, I also got on the Arrowmatic, Pale to the King (an awesome Pale very comparable to MadeWest), and All Blue Chucks, all of which held true to the highest quality of beers crafted. The inside decor is spot on as well, feels like you're drinking golden elixirs and a snow lodge in Aspen. Cool artwork, mooseheads, old wooden finishes litter the inside beautifully. Wish this place was closer but def see them expanding this amazing business model. To top everything off, one of the owners Victor approached me and was the coolest dude I ever met. Thanked us for our visit and seemed like a standup guy. Props to you Arrow Lodge, I will be praising your name to the masses. THANK YOU!!! read more

So happy we gave this place a try! I personally LOVEEEE IPAs! Fiancé...no so much haha. But we enjoyed the atmosphere here. Working on hitting more breweries and happy that this one is close to our new place! They have a variety of board games to play along with some cool old school arcade games. Plenty of seating for small groups to big groups. This place may not have food, but that's okay! Totally can eat before or after!(: Went with the C4 since it was recommended! I recommend a visit to Arrow Lodge if you are in the San Gabriel Valley. The beer is excellent. I enjoyed everything I drank and the Cut Loose was especially good. The venue is clean and attractive in sort of a minimalistic way and has ample seating. The employees are very knowledgable, very friendly, and willing to share their thoughts on their beers and are happy to try to accommodate your tastes. Keep up the good work. read more
