My fiancé and I have been here many times to the driving ranges and to the mini golf area. No complaints here! Everything works smoothly. Since covid they haven't been renting drivers so we had to borrow. Less people are able to go, but I would guess that will change soon. read more

Came here for a Groupon Deal lesson. It was a little bit of a scary ride driving to here. I didn't know it was that far away from when I bought it. The lesson itself was amazing! Got a lesson from Joseph, and he's was patient despite the fact that I didn't have a clue of what I was doing. You know you have a great instructor when he not only knows how to teach, but he knows where you're messing up on. That's true skill there if you can do the second. The golf course on the otherhand isn't that impressive. The driving range in Almansor is my favorite so far. The place feels old and dirty. The restrooms are DISGUSTING! read more

Came here for mini golf. It's $6 per person which is pretty cheap. The course is well maintained and it's pretty cool looking. The downside it's that there's only 9 holes which takes about 30 minutes if you are an average mini golfer like myself. Good date idea! read more

They have shrunk the putting green at least by half. Both the putting green and Chipping/sand area is still closed even though City rules say its ok to open both now. Please open both as I like this facility alot! Driving Range balls are still in great shape! read more

For 18 holes, $14. Granted, I've only played during the week, it might be more on weekends. For a PAR 3 it's nice to have some challenging and interesting shots. The front 9 is pretty tight on the interior of the course while the back 9 is a little more spread out around the perimeter. The greens have some breaks and bumps in them giving them a great dynamic. Overall, for the dough, you can't beat it. The driving range is cool too. I hit a medium bucket for $6. The only weird thing is, you have to put a deposit down to borrow a tee. $2, which you get back when you return the tee. Still a great course, great place to hit a few balls. I haven't tried the cafe, but looks decent. read more

This place needs a little more quality everything. I'd be great if they upgraded a few things. The range is ok, but it's Pasadena, so when it's hot, there is no shade at all at the range or near it, that's about 9 months out of the year here, so ideally if you want to hit balls and enjoy the outside, it's only around December to February. The restaurant needs a lot of work. Food is not good at all, even salads are bland and may poorly. The rest is very greasy, I've given this place many chances, but there is no quality or passion that goes into making food here... Their course looks like a nice par 3, but you have to hit off mats, this does nothing for your golf game but it does kill your back. The putting is good, but I wish they pumped some life into this place and make it nice, I'd be there 4-5 times a week, eating and practicing... read more

I really do enjoy coming here for mini golf with my son, as I used to come as a teen myself. Even over the past year or two with Covid restrictions, we were able to get out and enjoy playing and getting out. But more recently it seems the prices have skyrocketed to $11 per person to play their small course. This is a lot to pay and will likely discourage many from coming here. Sherman Oaks Castle park is a little bit off a drive but much more with the money unfortunately. I hope their prices normalize at some point because we do love coming here, just not at $11 per person. read more

The mini golf here has really gone downhill. I recently brought my daughter and a friend to play and it was disappointing. It was the first time back since the pandemic. The putting areas were littered with leaves and debris. Many of the once cute structures, like the windmill, small church etc. look run down, need painting and/or are just falling apart. The balls got stuck in a tunnel on one of the holes, and then stuck inside a structure on another hole. I spoke to the attendant about the quality of the experience and he totally didn't seem to care. Little kids will probably still have fun and not notice but as an adult it is obvious the course needs attention. read more

This is a really great course at a great price for us Par 3 players. This is one of few with a full 18 holes so can you spend a good 90 min playing. It has a pretty good variety in the holes for a Par 3 course. Go early in the day if you want a quicker pace of play - it always tends to slow in the afternoon. There's a driving range too but no shade there at all so, again, better to go early. read more

**Review for the Ann Gregory Classic tournament played in early August. Sorry for the late review. Better than most par 3's I have played. Which isn't saying much because I don't play par 3 courses. And I am in between giving 2 and 3 stars- so here is why. Must say the staff here helping for the tournament were excellent! Super nice folks! My favorite part of this place was the fact that they had a driving range. I love the game of golf and I never understood why par 3 courses didn't try to fit in some space for a range. A range is perfect for new golfers, and most golfers actually, to have a place to warm up and practice before hitting the course. The down side to par 3 courses is that you really have to pay attention. Obviously the place is made for folks who are learning so golf balls are flying around all over the place. The course itself was not too bad either. You start each hole by hitting off mats- again, great for beginning golfers. And the yardage seemed to be very accurate. Dont want to name names, but another par 3 course I played had very inaccurate yardage markers which could pose some danger to folks on the course. The greens were pretty beat up which is kinda expected, but I was hoping for something a little smoother. It would be awesome if folks learning the game also took the etiquette to it seriously and fixed their divots on the green. But I think that is hoping for a lot. So the day we went the kitchen had to close down. After our round they were able to serve drinks, but the kitchen was totally closed. We played in a small tournament and the 20 guys I was with were all ready to spend money to eat after the round. Kinda of unfortunate that it was closed or this would have been a 4 star rating for sure. We are playing here again next year I will certainly update my review. read more

Brought one of my elderly clients who likes to golf here. I'm not big on golf but he is. I was impressed with the professionalism of the woman who we purchased the ticket to get the balls from. This was definitely a more pleasant experience than we had at Weddington golf and tennis. The golf course Marshall (that's what my client called him) at Weddington was outright rude to us. A woman and an elderly male and he chooses to be rude to us. That's why I decided to try this place out. We encountered no Marshall here. His only complaint was the sun. The sun was in his eyes as he hit balls at this range. Hard to see where your balls land. This likely only happens during certain times of the day, but still we enjoyed ourselves. read more

Lucky for me, my boyfriend is familiar with this course/place. You have to have your own bag, but I did see a few without. They were just holding their sticks or clubs. We had a bag each. It's just easier if you have a bag. This was my first time golfing, my boyfriend made the experience very pleasant. He's very patient. (That's why I love him). There is also a driving range and a putting range. Also very easy to use. You walk in and pay to your left, with the cashier, and you get a code on your receipt if you're going to use the driving range for the bucket of balls. Enter code on pad at machine. And your balls come rolling out into the bucket. You can play 9 Par or 18. It was a lot of fun. I also noticed, There is also a restaurant with a bar on the premises. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars, but you have to know what you're getting into. It's a no frills, cheap, par three course. It has a driving range and even a miniature golf course. It's rarely crowded, they have night golf, and the fees are well within reason. I love coming out here on a weeknight and getting 9 (or maybe 11) holes in. Henry at the counter was a complete joke. He tried charging my 7 year old son a "spectator fee". My son didn't have clubs nor plays golf. I didn't have a baby sitter hence why I brought him with me. Then I asked to speak with the manager Jose whom showed no empathy and was a complete joke himself. Clearly neither of them have kids and I'm disappointed in their abilities. I came here for the first time a few months ago but just now am getting around to a review. I came on a weeknight for an early evening session at the driving range. We had a large bucket of balls. It was pretty busy at the range for a week night. But I had a good experience overall. The range is a bit smaller than what I've seen but you have room to practice your long shots. At night it's lit up but can be hard to watch your ball if it's dark in certain areas. Good practice range though. read more

This review is for miniature golf. $4 plus a ball and a putter equals a good time. I used to take my kids and the Scouts here. Took my 84 year old mother-in-law today for some balance and hand eye coordination exercise. We had loads of laughs. Not quite ready for the senior tour, but working on it. Homey, kitschy course with 9 holes. Not sure what par is, but we had a friendly game which involved moving balls and dropping them in the hole when it took too long. read more

I really liked this golf course. It's really nice and great for beginners. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because I got a really bad allergic reaction to the bushes and shrubs by the golf course. Some of the grass isn't real, and I think my skin is overly sensitive to that. It took me two consecutive days in the emergency room with shots of steroids, increased medication, and a controlled diet for the allergic reaction to slowly fade away. The doctor said it was possibly hives. My advice: wear long sleeves and pants. You never know what you're gonna come across. I would recommend you not to go for the last hole unless you're really done, since the balls you pay for are pretty much returned once you hit them into the last hole. read more

This review is of the 9 hole mini golf course After reading some of the reviews here, I wasn't sure what to expect. I golfed this mini golf course when I was a kid some 40 years ago. However, it was open and we were in need of something to do with our 6 yr old. He and two friends had never mini golfed before so, for the $4 each, it was a great deal. It is a 9 hole course adjacent to the golf course (tucked way in the back and down a long road, passed the skate park). Even at 5:30 on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, the place was hopping with people. They guy working the booth was very helpful and congenial to our first timers and they each got to pick their ball color. When we stepped up to the first hole, I was surprised at how good shape it was in given what I'd "heard". In fact, for a small, local course that is many decades old, it was in good shape. Every hole was in working order, the greens were fine, and, with the exception of some leaves, everything was fine (ok, the windmill no longer turned on its own, but we gave it a spin by hand and all was well). Even with 3 amateurs (ages 6, 5, and 3), we finished the course in less than an hour. I don't think the concession was open although can't say I looked. As we walked out, I noticed someone behind the indoor bar (full bar!) but no patrons inside. We will definitely go back. Love to support this local haunt that has been around since before I was a kid. If we don't, these businesses go out of business and we all lament their closing. read more

Miniature Gold Course Review I think you would hard pressed to find a more charming (if slightly worn) miniature golf course. I think it an odd pursuit to expect Pebble Beach on a miniature scale... but hey Yelpers... chase that crazy dream. $4 per player! My dad used to bring my sister and me hear 4 times a week after school while he hit balls at the range. We would go in and have fries and shakes at the diner and then play the mini golf course OVER and OVER and OVER, making sure to not hit the ball in the last hole because then they take. :) This is where my golf roots began at the ripe young age of six. I grew up at this golf course, so I may be a bit biased. But, here goes nothin'. 18 holes of Par 3 goodness await you here. It's $15 for the whole 18 (weekends) and $14 on weekdays. The yardages differ from High 80's to the furthest of 146 yds. Not too bad a range. I don't really have the most pop in my swing, so I will usually club up from the PW and use my 9-7 on various holes. It's all about control, right? The greens are usually in decent shape. A lot of times, there will be several ball marks that lazy golfers ignore. The rule used to be "fix yours and one more". Not anymore. Fairways, hehe fairways, are mostly just rough. I'm pretty sure they're not even called fairways, as you are probably supposed to be on the green in one shot. Either way, the grass between your tee and the hole is always green, plush, and VERY inviting. My balls love it! :P Last thing, there are TREES everywhere. This course is testament to SO. Pasadena's claim to "Tree City USA"! During the winter/ fall season, the leaves are all gone, making it easier to actually hit through the trees that hang into your tee shots path. Come spring/ summer, best be adding some loft to your shots! Driving range is $8 for large bucket. There are at least 50 or so mats to hit from. Only mats, though. Putting green is a decent size. Plenty of holes and usually a handful of people at any given time. They have a miniature golf course here, too! It's $4, I believe. I haven't done this is a year or so. But, 9 holes of putting fun for the kids, while you practice your putting and or chipping...oh ya! Chipping area. Meh, it's aiight. If you need to practice, go ahead. This one is located at about 20 yards behind the 18th hole. So, needless to say, keep your eyes alert for any "Fore!" and cover up! Cash, Debit, Credit Cards all accepted with a smile. Visit the restaurant for some good food or grab yourself a nice cold beer. If you pay for it, obviously, they sell six packs packed in ice, for your golfing. read more

I'm updating this review because we took Baby C to the mini-golf course this weekend. The mini-golf course is in bad shape & needs some TLC. The putting surfaces are ripped & torn in a lot of places. Fortunately, all of the pipes worked well & we never lost a ball, so at least those are being maintained well. I'm giving 3 stars becuase I'd rather have this mini-golf course in the area than not have it. However, if I ever hit the lotto, I'm donating a portion to the golf course so that they can repair the mini-golf course. It's just a great way to introduce kids to the game, and it has definitely seen better days. read more

Time travel is possible. This mini golf course will take you back to a kinder, simpler, pre Bush (both of them) time in America. It's a hidden gem near the border of South Pasadena. Wow, it's like 1963 every day here. The mini golf course is challenging and fun. This is the perfect low stress date location. I have been here a couple of times when the sun was radiating throughout the city of Los Angeles in 95 degree weather. Despite the sun, however, I enjoyed playing mini golf for only $4. Compared to other mini golf courses in this city, this is the cheapest. The mini course is not the best, unfortunately. Some of them had shown wear and tear throughout the years. For instance, the windmill course at the end looked a bit dilapidated (windmill didn't work). However, that's not really an issue when we played all 9 courses because we still had a great time. Overall, this course is a fun outdoor activity for groups and dates for a cheap price! P.S. It is hidden inside the Arroyo Seco Park area. Just go straight towards the parking lot where the golf course is located, go inside and you will see the mini golf area, ready to be played. read more

Cheap date, evening winddown, or even If you want to drive some balls at the drivinh range and don't want to deal with the teens or kids, send the wife and them playing mini golf while you correct that slice you've developed. For 2 dollars, they'll give you a putter and a ball for 9 holes. The final hole takes your ball. I've been tempted to start the national mini golf players of America, or the NMGPA, which would play and rate mini golf places around the country. We could wear matching jackets, and bring our own putters. I think that this would be rated a pretty difficult course by the NMGPA. The 3rd hole is a doozy. Bring your friends. It's kinda hidden, the mosquitoes and broke hipsters come out at night, so don't say I didn't warn you. read more

Once my boyfriend surprised me with a mini-golf date. He drove me all the way to Palmdale to some sort of Fun Zone, where we played about 18 versions of the same simple hole, then did the whole monotonous thing again on the second hole. The whole time, I kept thinking, "I would have had fun if you had just taken me to Pasadena!" Luckily, the FunZone redeemed itself with batting cages. The Arroyo Seco Golf course is sorely lacking in batting cages, but does not need them, as they have a fantastic and adorable 9 hole mini golf course that is surprisingly challenging. The structures have been repainted over the past few years, making the decor quite cheery, but don't let that distract you from making it across the bridge on The Ant Hole (my sworn mini-golf enemy). There are enough hills, levels, and multiple holes to keep each hole new and fun, and even though the windmill must be manpowered on the final hole, hopefully you've had enough fun so that it doesn't quite matter. The cost is cheap (about $2 or $3 per person to play) and I've never seen the mini golf course very busy, so there is no pressure to speed your game along. read more

Positives: Maybe it's the secluded nature of the location but range is very serene; even the low hum of the vehicles whizzing by along the 110-N is comforting. Abundant parking. $8 for an extra-large bucket. Negatives: You'll end up blind if you go as the sun starts to set. Sunglasses are futile. Between 630-645pm is probably a safe bet as the sun starts settling behind some hills on the west horizon. Lack of ball tray is inconvenient. Range stalls lie at a subtle but discernible right-to-left break so you are slightly off-balance; range area in general is aligned diagonally. The Course: ~$15, lush fairways, divot-free greens, lit at night, narrow, probably won't need more than an 8 or 9 iron. read more

Came to play mini golf with a group of 10+, however the mini golf area was closed due to refurnishing. Arroyo Seco was very kind to us, they offered to let us check out clubs or putters to use on the putting green or driving range at a good price. The 5 star review is mainly for the server at the restaurant! Marisa was AMAZING to our group! We had a small budget for each person who came, and she offered a few options for us and was very accommodating to our group and extremely kind! All I played here was the mini-golf. $4 gets you a 6 hole course that will take maybe a half hour. I haven't played mini-golf since I was very little, so I don't know how this compares, but it was fun. Shot a couple balls through some doll houses, fired through a windmill, etc etc. There's a nearby park with a huge concrete drainage ditch. I'd suggest bringing some cardboard boxes for it, so you can ride that down. Wheeee~ read more

My review is for the Mini-Golf Only. For some cheap thrills ($4 pp rental for a ball + club) and an excuse to be outdoors for a little while, the Arroyo is pretty great. Parking is always a plenty, and there is a clubhouse that serves some average diner food and offers a limited bar. However, for better or worse -- you can tell this place has been loved: the establishment is old, and it shows. In fact, I'm not sure the bathrooms have been updated since the 70s. :\ But hey, you get what you pay for. The mini-golf course itself is pretty simple...great for first timers. Design frills are at a minimum and sometimes they malfunction. The last hole has a windmill -- it's fun to look at, but doesn't spin very well, and the spoke on the reverse end has a tendency to trap balls. Also, if you've never been to a mini golf course before - be advised that the last hole will eat your ball. read more
