Amazing meal at @arroyovino last night. The 2016 Pagodes de Cos and Duck Confit together was mind blowing Everyone loved their meal. The Cabbage appetizer was especially delicious. Beautiful space, great wine shop as well. Professional yet friendly service. Can't wait for my next visit.

Fantastic fine dining restaurant with amazing views, music and flowers everywhere. The service is impeccable and informative. The cuisine is worthy of a James Beard Award... someone please tell them ;) This restaurant is a must if you're celebrating a special moment in Santa Fe!

This was our anniversary dinner for our trip. We planned it a few weeks in advance. I was worried it wouldn't live up to the hype, but I was wrong. Jonathan, our waiter, and the staff was on their A game and I doubt they are ever off of it. Beyond the service the food was incredible. Every course complimented the next and stood on its own. If you are in Santa Fe and are a food and dining experience lover you have to come here. Thank you Arroyo Vino staff. Shout out to Jonathan (spelling?). A magical evening.

We were tipped off to this great restaurant/wine shop by a sommelier at a restaurant in a different city. It was a great referral, as the food is superb. The grilled artichoke made a nice starter, and the house-made chicken liver was wonderful. We also really enjoyed the spring salad. The chicken had a great coating of Indian spices, and the halibut also offered a nice medley of flavors. Of course, being attached to a wine shop, there are lots of nice selections on the wine list, although we would have liked to have been able to browse in the shop and then take a bottle into the restaurant. Wine prices aren't exactly bargains, but it is a ritzy part of Santa Fe.

Salted caramels as a birthday treat. They were incredible!

Arroyo Vino is a short drive from Santa Fe and it is worth the trip! They do close early, so be sure to make an early reservation via the OpenTable app. The parking lot is a little rustic, so if it is snowy, icy or rainy, leave your Jimmy Choos at home. We were seated immediately by our waiter, who delivered my French 75 and my companion's iced tea very promptly. We ordered the house made straciatelli and the chicken fried quail. G's mind was blown by the quail and the straciatelli was served with a heavenly soft focaccia with the most delicate char that was a perfect taste comparison with the cheese. Wow! If I could add star eyes that would be + 2. For our entrees, we ordered the porcini rubbed heritage pork chop and the cider braised Piedmontese short rib. G said it was the best pork chop he had ever eaten IN HIS LIFE. + 1! And the short rib was very moist and tender. I would have preferred it to be a warmer temperature. However, I understand the chef has a specific experience in mind. We were stuffed after 2 appetizers and two entrees so we passed on the dessert. Even though we passed on the dessert we got a special treat to celebrate my birthday, salted caramels. Thank you, chef! The service was just outstanding and not stuffy. + 2!

Fantastic meal! Nice atmosphere, great service, beautifully prepared and presented dishes, lots of menu options with an expansive wine list. Pan Roasted Scallops w/curried cauliflower puree, peas & nut dukkah was tender and delicious with a nice blend of spice & nut flavors. Grilled Artichoke pesto aioli was quite good, but the star of the meal was Pan Roasted Cauliflower, with quinoa, dates, carrots, saffron cauliflower purée, and pistachio/sesame dukkah. Tastes as great as it looks. Vanilla Panna Cotta was a perfect ender. Will definitely visit again when we're in Santa Fe.

Driving out to Arroyo Vino I was not sure I was going the right direction, but once I hit this little hidden gem, I knew I was heading towards an amazing experience. I walked into this spectacular wine shop, my mind was blown by what has been curated. Some of the best wines I've come across. Our dinner reservations were at 5pm as the place was completely booked so I took what I could. The service was superb, wine list outstanding, menu perfect. Each item we ordered just got better and better. What an amazing restaurant and I really can't wait to go back! Bravo!

We arrived at 5:12 and the host did not provide a drink menu like the other tables. When the waitress finally made her way, she was not welcoming and almost seem like she was bothered. Christina who is the wine snob was nice as well as Tatiana who clear plates. When our waitress came to take our order, I had to ask for the drink menu and she only brought one in which I gave it to my husband to look over. When she came around to ask what we wanted, she was standing there for what I wanted. I exclaimed, well you only brought one and needed to take turns. Joaquin also wasn't friendly bringing the bill. The price is $155 per head and the service was poor. They made several mistakes of giving the wrong plate and taking our drinks to two tables down. Please give your business to another restaurant.

tldr: THE SOUP This…read moreis a place where a tasting menu would be amazing because I'm sure everything is that good. Before they even bring the menu they bring out 7 moles to taste. Apparently moles aren't all dark chocolate spicy sauces ... ?!?? Loved the education and samples. I'm typically not a mole fan, but they were fun to try. We had the octopus but to me the sauce was too oily. The actual octopus was tender and delicious. Also had the duck skin tacos which were more of a minced duck meat taco and delish. The 5 stars go for impeccable service and the SOUP. This soup is not to be missed. Nothing on paper makes me think it should work but it totally does. It's a big lump of blue crap topped with creamy poblano pepper soup with whipped cream and amaretto and then topped with a spicy kick. Someone said cinnamon but for me it tasted more like hot red chili powder. Sounds incredibly weird but it was the best dish I've had in forever. Waitress was extremely knowledgeable and the chef was very welcoming and present in his cowboy hat! Space was cozy with amazing art. Perfect date night spot but plan to spend a bit of $$$

Overall, this was a very underwhelming experience. The restaurant presents itself as fine dining,…read morebut it struggled to execute the fundamentals. We were seated immediately but waited about ten minutes before anyone greeted us. When our server finally arrived, he wished us a happy anniversary--even though it wasn't our anniversary. While not a major issue, it's the kind of detail a restaurant at this price point should get right. After ordering drinks, water, and our meals, we were told everything was available except the duck. My wife ordered the sopa de amora and the halibut special. I ordered the frijole negro and attempted to order the Popocatépetl, only to be told it was unavailable that evening. Instead, I was offered a $90 Wagyu steak. For a restaurant of this caliber, the menu should be updated or guests should be informed of major changes upfront. It felt like a bait-and-switch. Our drinks arrived, but after finishing our water, we were told more would be brought out. It never arrived until dessert, when I had to ask again. The frijole negro was excellent--the best dish of the night. Unfortunately, my wife's soup was disappointing. We were told it had to be eaten from top to bottom or bottom to top for the flavors to work properly, and this explanation was delivered in a somewhat condescending manner. Despite being described as "the best soup in the state," the flavors simply felt off. For the entrées, my steak was good, but the rice was overcooked and mushy. My wife's halibut was completely under-seasoned, and her rice was equally inedible. Dessert was better. The crepes were enjoyable, though the walnuts were noticeably burnt. I don't usually nitpick, but when a restaurant charges premium prices, the food and service should justify the cost. Unfortunately, both were mediocre, and the overall experience fell far short of expectations.
