This is the most unprofessional training course I had ever took in my life. The instructor Chris is impatient, rude, and arrogant. I had took the beginner course, which I thought it's for beginner as they claimed. After 3 hours of pure lecture (the instructor just read the card line by line from the material), he expect all students should be able to drive without showing us how to do it. If your motorcycle stall, you will be out immediately and you can't ride it anymore. There are other students that might be on the bike for 3 seconds and this obnoxious instructor just yell at them and kick them up. (Btw is non refundable) Don't waste your time and money on this location. Total scam read more

The instructor was too patient, to put it simply. For a reason that I don't understand, I was not complying with the instructor's advice and would repeat the same mistakes multiple times over until I eventually got better towards the end of the class. I was waiting for the instructors to lose it and kick me out very early on, because I understand that it's not easy repeating yourself in 90 degree weather on a Sunday afternoon... but they really didn't. Props to Darrel. Ron wasn't the nicest but try to keep in mind that it's hard not to be even a little frustrated. You may be having a hard time learning, but they may be having an even harder time teaching, so give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

I have been waiting for months to take the MSF course and I was so hesitant on taking a class at a college I didn't know anything about. I am so SO happy I went to Mt. Sac for it. I just took my course and my first day, I forgot my gear and was unbelievably anxious to the point where I almost backed out of the course but Sheryle was so kind, knowledgeable, and understanding, I felt so supported through the entire process! She gives you so much lenience and instruction so you are never confused or anxious. She made it known that mental wellness was as much of a priority to her as being physically prepared is which is highly appreciated. It felt good knowing we had a friend, instructor, and someone who genuinely cared all in one. She takes the time to learn names and will compliment your wins and cheer you on when you need extra help which honestly helped me get through a lot of the exercises. I would not recommend any other class if you want an instructor that genuinely cares for you, I mean it. Sheryle was the best!!!! read more

Carbon was a great instructor and really funny as well! He gave great advice during each exercise for us to work on before trying again and answered (almost) all of our questions. The only time he won't answer a question is if he believes knowing the answer will harm you rather than benefit you. He left races bikes in competitions so you just have to trust what he says to do even if it feels scary. read more

Amazing experience overall. Darrell and Ron are a great team. They give so much knowledge on how to ride a motorcycle and focus on how important safety is when riding. Highly recommend. Darrel made the classroom portion really easy. Carbon was super chill and patient out on the range. I didn't end up liking riding (lol) but Carbon was friendly the entire time, took the time to coach everyone in the class, great sense of humor. I would recommend making sure you refresh on how to ride a bicycle first because balance is not easy! But this is more a person to person thing. Registration was easy, they let me use high top sneakers and dirt bike gloves - although they have extra gear if you come under prepared. So update I did retake my second day range / skills test with Mr carbon and Mr Ron it did take three weeks until I heard back but I was constantly messaging with Mr Ron and Mr Darrel for an open spot everyday for three weeks..... Word of advice if you guys have failed the second time either the written or the skills test is to just be assertive and constantly bug them and don't wait for them to message you, I'm glad I did because they were great teachers especially Mr carbon I learned a lot and had fun practicing on the motorcycle course I was skeptical at first after reading the reviews on Yelp but after taking the course I'm glad I did and would highly recommend to take it read more

Took the Mt Sac MSF course instructed by a gentleman named Carbon. At first, I believed the class was going to be very intimidating due to never riding a motorcycle before. But Carbon made learning how to ride and went thru the material more fun than expected. The course was intimidating at first, but when everything went down, easiest thing to go by. Also helps if you know how to drive a manual car as well cause of the multi use of both hands. 10/10 would take any course if Carbon was the one instructing. read more

I signed up for the motorcycle training class not knowing anything about motorcycles and I never rode before. Taking Darrell's class was every bit of helpful and structured, from the initial start Darrell was thorough and communicative on the information I needed as a new rider and focused not only on the important topics that will be on the test but also on the topics that will be applied in a real world scenario. After the classroom Darrell took us to the range (motorcycle specific parking lot) where he taught us the basic functions of a motorcycle and processes to start and ride. Long story short by the end of the class I scored 100% on the skill test not making any errors and I thank Darrell for his awesome instruction and guidance. I was given a red Honda rebel and loved it (pic attached) I highly recommend this class and specifically Darrel's class and Ron was also awesome with great feedback and instruction on the range. read more

The course was extremely rushed, the coach RON didn't take the time at all to help people with the things they struggled with, the bikes had bad clutches and my brake handle was dangling. Sh happens to bikes, but they should definitely be checking out the bikes people are going to be using when they have never even sat on one. There were too many people in a small parking lot going around in a circle with someone stalling and dropping their bike 2 feet in front of you. Honestly, you won't leave without learning anything, but it's a waste of money and time. And definitely too much information crammed into a few days. read more

I have ridden before, but that was over 15 years ago and was self-taught. I decided to ride again but wanted to do it right this time. This course is absolutely amazing. Sheryl and Darrell were absolutely amazing!!! They were patient and so much fun to be around. If you are looking for a course that will just sign off on your DL 389, then this course is NOT for you. If you want to learn the right way to ride and how to be safe and in control, then this is it. They teach you every step of the way on how to walk to ride and even how to swerve. I have so much more confidents in my abilities due to their instruction. Some instructors are just doing it because it is a job, but Sheryl and Darrell not only do it because it is a job, but they genuinely care about your safety and well-being. They were sticklers for the little things, like keeping your hands on the handlebars even if the bike is in neutral. I think that speaks volumes on how much they care. While some people may not like that, I absolutely loved it and think that if you can't master the little things then you don't belong on a bike. They criticize your riding because they want to make you better. They want you to stay alive, so stow your pride and learn as much as you can from them. Because of them, I want to become an instructor one day down the road. I need lots more experience, but due to their abilities to communicate clearly and precisely, I will set my goals to become an instructor. Thank you Sheryl and Darrell!!! read more
