I found out about this school from a coworker who recently took driving lessons here. I went to the Yelp account and website of this driving school and first thought I was not going to be able to use this school because the business address if in Fremont, but when I read the information about the school, I was pleased to learn that they service Santa Clara County and the City of Fremont. Additionally, I wanted to ask a questions, but thought I would be leaving a message when I called the school at 705am, but the school answered (their hours are from 7am to 7pm every day). Both my friend and I already had out of country driver license (India), but both wanted to pass the drive test on first try. My coworker says he saw an ARS Driving School Car driving around while he was out one day and called and easily scheduled lessons online. His experience was so good that he told me to call too and I did. I scheduled the full package which included three lessons and the drive test. We both had the same Instructor, Anika, so we were able to discuss driving techniques because we both learned the same things. I was not sure what to expect, but when I met with my Instructor, it was great. Granted I already drive, but what this lesson taught me was the fine details of driving so that I could be safe. I was very impressed with the level of detail provided and the pop quizzes the Instructor gave me by informally asking me questions to make sure that I understood the material. On my last lesson, the Instructor graded my driving as if I was taking the drive test and I passed the mock test. Additionally, I could understand and remember where I got small errors while I was driving. At first I was alittle skeptical about whether or not I needed the drive lessons versus just scheduling one lesson. I am so glad I scheduled the largest package because there is no way I would have been able to understand all the new concepts I was taught and I would not have passed my drive test on the first try. My coworker passed too. We both know that we could not have done it without this school. We feel that if anyone is not sure whether to take classes from this school, don't even think twice, take the lessons. You will see, it is worth it. Lastly, on the day of the drive test, the Instructor picked me up, got me to DM\V and spent time going over different make believe scenarios to make sure I was mentally and physically alert and ready. What stands out in my mind the most about this Instructor was that she continued to teach all the way up to the examiner coming to the car to start the drive test. I am 72 years old. I am having my daughter type my review for this school because I do not use computers and I was that impressed with the Instructor, Anika, that I promised even though I don't use the computer, I would get my daughter to type my review out for me. I used them because I was driving to the store about two weeks ago, when I accidentally hit a car, slightly. An officer happened to be in the parking lot and took my license and gave me a temporary piece of paper which only allowed me to drive for three months with a licensed driving school to practice for my upcoming re-evaluation drive test with DMV. I have been driving for more than 50 years and definitely know how to drive. The officer explained I would receive paperwork in the mail from DMV in which I did. I told my daughter about what happened and she found this driving school for me just to check and see if my driving techniques are safe. My daughter says this driving school was the only one she saw online that was open at 6pm on Sunday when she happened to be searching the internet and they answered the phone when she called. I was scheduled with Anika. I was pleasantly surprised with the detail that came from the lesson. One of the big things I was not doing when driving was looking over my shoulder in the blind spot area. I used to just look in my side mirror and if it was clear would go. I went through mock drive tests with her and initially failed with Anika because I did not look over my shoulder, but every mock test after, I passed with her. I am proud to report I did get my driver license back thanks to Anika at ARS Driving School. I feel that I already knew of course how to drive, but I was missing alittle nitty gritty. read more

I am a 50 year old female, who is very uncoordinated, clumsy and fearful on the road. I got my permit 15 years ago in Florida and after moving to Nor Cal, I passed more than 5 written tests, all with less than 2 errors per test. However, it was the fear of driving (ACCIDENT!) that stopped me from practicing on the road, and I honestly thought I'd never get a driver's license. In fact, I don't think anybody expected me to ever pass the road test. I am THAT timid behind the wheel... or I was until I met my instructor, Ms. ARS! From the first lesson, my instructor Anika was so well prepared. (I had lessons with other instructors before, so I had knowledge to compare with.) She brought me an instruction note leaflet. She was VERY encouraging through and through and yet would never fail to give me constructive criticism (in a very encouraging way!) whenever I needed to be corrected. She was always calm, poised and very relevant in her communication. She understood my weaknesses and gave me very customized feedbacks during and after each lesson. In all, Anika Stevens was so successful that THIS very student, a timid 50-year old woman with the worst kind of hand-eye coordination who never drove before, finally passed a driving test and got her first driving license (class C)! Yes, Anika made the impossible possible! So I'd recommend ARS Driving School to all students, young and old, male and female, experienced or just brand new. The time has come!! My son in 2017 took lessons with ARS Driving School and I told ARS at that time that I would be back with my daughter. Today is that day. I have officially enrolled my daughter and she has taken her first lesson with ARS, same instructor my son had. The instructor was patient and my daughter is well on her way to completing her 50 hours of practice driving. One thing different this time, my son had notes in 2017 and the opportunity to interact with ARS on Facebook and Instagram back in 2017, but he did not participate in the interact questions and answers, but he passed and everything fine. My daughter has notes too, but she jumped right on board with ARS on Facebook because ARS throws out questions about driving techniques and looks for people to test their knowledge by responding and answering the question. My daughter lucky enough responded to a question and got it confidently right! I love the notes, the one on one lessons and the stimulating question and answer opportunities ARS participates in on Facebook and Instagram. Their teaching is not limited to just in the car during a lesson. It continues with notes and interactive questions. Thank You ARS for doing such a great job. This is a long overdue review for Anika and ARS. I contacted ARS because of their excellent reviews . Ruth was very patient in explaining all the packages and understanding my needs and timeline (i wanted to schedule my test in 2 months).I was a new driver and didn't have much prior experience behind the wheel. The other reviews already cover Anika's patience,excellent teaching and communication skills and the detailed notes.I'd like to mention her attention to detail and elaborate answers to any questions you have ,no matter how trivial they are.I remember we spent an extra half hour in addition to our 2 hour lesson just so we could cover all my questions.She is also very personable and the lessons are quite fun as well as informative. I passed my test on the first try.She gave a lot of tips and pointers about the test and the actual process before the test.After the test,she explained how to tweak the techniques learnt when driving in general . Just a side note.You have to call well in advance (3-4 weeks) or wait for someone to cancel so they can accommodate you accordingly.Anika was kind enough to schedule a class after 6 pm because no other time slot was available before my test. read more

I would recommend this school, especially for new drivers, those who are scared of driving and confused by driving rules. I moved from other country and didn't feel comfortable behind the wheel. My instructor was Anika. She is great, professional, patient teacher. She really loves what she does. She is ready to help, answer all questions and give recommendations. At first I took lessons with another school and failed behind-the-wheel exam. Then I called ARS school. So I have 2 schools to compare. ARS school is the best! Also everything is clear about prices. My previous school tried to change initial price giving me strange reasons. So I took just one lesson and behind-the-wheel exam with ARS school. Anika explained me main things I need to know and also sent this information by email (I really appreciate that), so that I don't forget anything. She also explained me all mistakes I made on my first driving test and answered all my questions I sent by email. So I felt much more confident when I had my second try and I passed! ARS Driving school was wonderful from the start. The 5 star rating is well deserved. There's a person always pick up the phone, not only Ruth picked up my calls, she knew my son's appts and status. And the time no one picked up the call, I got a call back within an hr. A very friendly front office person. I also received appt reminders. The driving instructor, Anika, is fantastic. She knows what's she's doing and teaching, she's thorough with details, she explained things very well to my 16.5 yr old son, Ben. She prepared him well for the test. She was happy and tried her best to accommodate our crazy schedules. A superior service you don't see very often nowadays. Anika's email notes was awesome reminders when my son was practicing driving w us. Needless to say, my son passed his test the first try. Anika even did a follow up after my son's test date. I am a teenager and never drove before. My parents signed me up with this school after scouring the internet for good schools. I learned so much in the first lesson and drove too. I never thought on the first lesson I would be actually moving a car. The school's car is comfortable and the Instructor was awesome. Her name, Anika. I love how she made sure I understood the things we were doing before we actually did them, so that when I made a mistake, she calmly reminded me of the steps and how to get back on track. I was excited and nervous about this first lesson, but now am just excited to drive inbetween my lessons with the school. I can't wait to also get to a point where I am ready to take my drive test. I am on my way thanks to this school. My parents even got some tips to watch for when they are driving with me so that I continue to use the proper techniques when driving. Anika has been very helpful getting my driving confidence back and already taught me so many useful driving techniques. The information and techniques are vital not only for passing the DMV test, but also for driving defensively and safely in the future. The instructor is professional and courteous. She always returns my emails and calls very quickly. After each lesson, she compiles a note and emails it to you, so that you can review and improve your skills in your own time later. I realize there are so many elements to passing the test. She definitely has a lot of tips that you would have never even thought of before the lessons. I highly recommend this school. It's worth every penny! The day before and the day of the road test, Anika made sure that I was ready 100%. I think this is where she stands out from the rest. My daughter got her drivers license today -- her first attempt! Really appreciate Anika's 1:1 driving lessons. The driving lessons were spaced a month apart so that the student has plenty of time to practice in between lessons. The last lesson was scheduled close to the driving test date. On the day of the test she arrived a little early to give my daughter some additional practice just before the test. My daughter enjoyed learning with Anika. She is very knowledgeable and patient. She has great communication skills and loves teaching. ARS driving school is very prompt in responding to emails. Scheduling via email was very easy. They have various packages; we decided to go with the one where my daughter could use the instructor's car for the test. It was very convenient and there were no surprises on the day of the test. I used ARS driving school and it was a very beneficial learning experience. My instructor, Anika Stevens, was beyond helpful and was very meticulous about every individual detail, down to know that when they say "Point to the other defroster, it means the rear one!" The techniques are still embedded in my driving, "Signal 1, 2, 3", "Protected or unprotected?", "Left, right, or right, left, it doesn't matter which way you look first". I again cannot stress the detail that they put into our effort. I passed the drive test with minimal errors, and I felt as if I had known too much going into the test, knowing much more than was necessary! Thanks to Anika for helping my wife to clear her CA.behind the wheel driving test. Anika was systematic in her training. She gave each lesson perfectly well, for my wife to easily understand the step by step and very clear instructions from Anika. My wife was quite hesitant to learn driving and go for the behind the wheel test but with Anika she felt so comfortable that she immediately started responding and learning. I was surprised to see my wife picking up the lessons and even more surprised when she cleared her test in the first round !!! OMG, I just finished my first driving lesson with this school and it was better than I ever thought it would be. I was able to drive on busy streets, turn at corners and even made left turns at unprotected intersections with the instructor, Anika. It was alot of information, but I am so glad the instructor desribed the manuevers so that I understood what to do. Anika made sure that I learned what to do to drive safe and what would be expected of me on the drive test. Terrific driving school! I highly recommend it to anyone who learning to drive, or just wants to be more confident on the road. Anika will explain the rules of the road to you clearly, and encourages you to ask questions so that you understand those rules. Understanding those rules will prepare you for any situation that comes up during the drive test. She even gives you scenarios about different things that can happen while driving, and how to handle them. The prices for lessons are very affordable, and worth every penny! Anika provides a calm presence in the car with you, and is very encouraging, but also honest. My daughter passed her test on the first try today, and Anika/ARS was really helpful in this process: she was patient and helpful, provided really useful feedback following each lesson, and arranged the final two training sessions to be close to when the DMV appointment was scheduled (even though this meant having the final lesson on Sunday afternoon). I was so nervous about my upcoming drivers test because my friend was supposed to take me to the test, but was recently advised by him that he can't take me. I jumped to the internet and found ARS Driving School. I phoned and was able to talk with someone who quickly was able to secure me in a slot where someone will be picking me up an hour before my drive test, letting me use their vehicle and getting me back home after the test.
