I originally called ARS for a problem with my contactor in my outside unit not functioning, therefore, no cooling air inside house. I had replaced the contactor through ARS aprrox. 1 year or so before. The Senior Tech aka....."comfort advisor" arrived promptly and as anticipated to help. Stephen C. showed up in professional attire and an attentive ear. He listened and quickly started to diagnose the situation. Within minutes he wanted to inspect the outside unit and quickly retrieved his tools of the trade and got to work. Upon quick inspection, Stephen determined there was no issue with the contactor, but there appeared to be a problem with the compressor. Prior work had been completed by previous owner and a "compressor helper" had been installed to help the compressor start-up. Stephen checked and assessed the Freon levels, power levels from contactor, the age of the R22 system, and the demise of the R22 industry. After his assessment, we discussed my options. Replacing subcomponents of the soon to be "obsolete" R22 system and help it limp along or replace the unit with an upgrade. With further discussions and evaluations, the decision was made to replace the unit. Stephen outlined several replacement options at varying price ranges and capabilities. I decided to replace the aging Carrier system with a new REEM Prestige unit. He said he had units in stock and that it could be completed today. I was happy to hear those words as I had taken the day off from work and would be able to attend while his team commenced to replace the handler, outside unit, verify and seal the ducts, replace the air handler platform, flush and clean copper tubing, install new thermidistat, a Rheme, safety overflow switch, and a filter rack. All-In-All......very professional, very knowledgeable, very personable, and a true "comfort advisor". I look forward to enjoying my new REEM system for years to come and feel comfortable with the included HSP and warranties with the new system. This ARS company is one of the worst service companies I have ever dealt with. My experience with them was extremely disappointing and completely unprofessional from beginning to end. The technician who came to my home did not show the level of professionalism or technical ability you would expect from someone working on an AC system. Instead of properly diagnosing and fixing the issue, he actually caused additional damage to my AC unit. To make matters worse, after damaging the system, he then tried to charge me to repair the problem that he created. What makes the situation even more frustrating is the lack of accountability from their management team. I was told that someone from management would contact me to discuss the issue and try to resolve it, yet I never received any call or follow-up. There was no effort to address the situation, no concern for customer satisfaction, and no attempt to take responsibility for their technician's actions. Based on my experience, this company operates in a very questionable way. Instead of focusing on helping customers and providing honest service, it feels like their main objective is to push unnecessary products and services while creating additional problems that lead to more charges. My AC was working before they came, and after their visit, it was worse. I strongly caution anyone considering this company. If you value professionalism, honesty, and quality service, you should look elsewhere. My experience with ARS was nothing short of frustrating, dishonest, and unacceptable. read more

I had a great experience with ARS, starting with a young African American male that stopped me at the Waterford Lakes Lowe's. I believe his name is Jamal, but not certain. I don't usually stop when people are trying to get my attention in a store. I am usually in and out of the store. He was willing to walk with me as I picked up my items. If not for him I would not have gotten my AC inspected. My AC was 21 years old and still functioning. Not long after Ricky arrived at my home. Ricky was very knowledgeable and helpful with helping find the best unit to fit my needs. Ricky answered all my questions and made the process easy for me to understand. I am a very tough person to sell anything to, but Ricky has to be the best they have. I broke my rule of same day purchase. I was made an offer I could not refuse so to speak lol. ARS sent the absolute best installers to my home. Ask for the father and son team of Nelson and Jacob. Those two guys are absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond making my garage look better than it had before. To watch these two men work was jaw dropping. To do what they did requires you to be a carpenter, welder, plumber, painter, weight lifter and electrician. I'm not one to stand over someone while they are working, but Nelson and Jacob were so cool to be around. They are masters of the craft. Both very helpful with explaining all the functions of my new unit. If you have the opportunity to get Nelson and Jacob you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend ARS. read more

Genuine customer here who just moved to Oviedo FL two weeks ago, and our AC went out on our 10-year-old system (its the end of June and getting hot). Fixing the leak would have cost $3k, so we looked into replacing the whole unit. We went through Lows are were nervous about it because we couldn't verify the HVAC company Lows would send to us. Lows sent Bill Smith from ARS Rescue Rooter to us. Bill spent five hours with us on a Sunday (reviewed the current system, evaluated the property, and discussed options with us). Bill was exceptionally courteous and negotiated the price with us too because we asked to negotiate. So we looked into the reviews for ARS Rescue rooter; google reviews were fantastic but yelp reviews were horrible. Having no one locally to reach out to, we took a chance because ARS Rescue Rooter could install the new system the next day (Carrier 5 ton with a variable air handler). The install crew that arrived the next day (Braulio and Matthew) and they did a fantastic job from start to finish. When the new equipment arrived, the blower fan was bent and so too was the outdoor fan unit. Matthew & Braulio showed me the damage and immediately called for another van to deliver a different set. The second set arrived in 1 hour, was perfect, installed well, and worked to the degree set by the thermostat in the house. Am very thankful for ARS Rescue Rooter, and would highly recommend Bill Smith with Sales, and Braulio + Matthew for the installation. Five stars! read more

I signed up for the Home Depot special tuneup service and the service contactor was ARS Orlando. After my appointment was scheduled I checked what other people had to say on Yelp and I must say I became a little apprehensive at the mixed reviews but I decided to go through with it. Jose Medina was the service professional who showed up at my door 20 mins later than expected. I must say from the moment he stepped through my door to when he left my immediate thought was this is what a service professional must be. Personable, efficient, thorough, patient in answering questions, respectful of my property (he donned pullover shoe cap protectors every time before stepping on my carpet). And oh yeah he did not short change he checked everything, I watched and took notes. At the end he provided his written summary and recommendations. He recommended the install of a Reme Hub system in the duct to kill bacteria, molds etc. for a total cost including warranty of 1325.00. When I checked the Internet I found that the device can be purchased new for $498.00 and it's an easy install. I wonder how ARS can explain away such a steep markup. Besides, review of the device seems to indicate that it only lasts a year in many cases. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience with ARS and I plan to use them again. My recommendation: put Jose Medina as the face of the franchise. I am sure there are other worthy professionals but man, I am impressed. read more

I cannot say enough about the job ARS Rescue Rooter Orlando has done for me. They installed both of my systems 3 years ago and have done a fantastic job maintaining them ever since. My current Service technician, Travis Passmore, is without a doubt the absolute best Service Technician I've had the pleasure to work with. To accommodate my work schedule he came out at 7:00pm to perform the semi-annual maintenance on both of my HVAC systems. It was raining for almost the entire 2-3 hours he serviced the machines. He did not finish up until after 9:00pm but took his time, did not rush as he did his job to standard, not to time. He is without a doubt a HUGE asset to ARS and it is knowledgeable, dedicated, and hard working people like Travis that will make a lifelong ARS customer. I cannot express how completely satisfied I am with his knowledge and professionalism. He meticulously went through both systems and anything he felt was not EXACTLY right, he took the time to explain what was happening with it and then recommended what actions needed to be taken, thereby making sure everything was done RIGHT! I would 100% strongly recommend Travis and ARS to anyone who wants the job done right the first time with the utmost knowledge, dedication, and professionalism to service. Had a HORRIBLE experience with this company. They do not stand behind their work and they are EXPENSIVE. I signed up for the $40 maintenance at Home Depot. After cancelling multiple times they finally came out. Over $600 to replace 3 parts (they wanted to replace more) and when they left, one of the units was running on HEAT cycle. They came back, did a manual override and told me that the thermostat was broken but they would do an override outside. The unit was still running but immediately began leaking from the handler on the 2nd floor to the dining room below leaving me with a wall to be repainted and and possible mold damage. I had to turn the unit off. Anyway I did get them back out and they determined the t-stat was not broken, only needed resetting, But it was suggested my expansion valve was broken and that it would cost $700 to fix. So, finally after a week a week of trying to reason with them and no A/C and damage to the house, i got someone else to come and have a look. and within an hour, and $70, I am good again! I should also mention I contacted Home Depot Customer service and they basically took their side. I asked them to escalate the call and hadn't heard back from them in two days!!! which is when i decided to look for help elsewhere. read more

Stephen was my service specialist for a tune-up that I signed up for at Home Depot. I don't know about ARS in general, but I do know that Stephen was professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, I did not feel ripped off! My unit needed a part and although I was leery at first, Stephen discussed what the part did, why it was needed, and there was no pressure to purchase. I opted to just get it over with. One of the byproducts of having the part replaced is that the A/C would be quieter than before. Prior to the replacement, my neighbor was being kept awake because my A/C was so loud. Well, I was skeptical, but as soon as Stephen made the repair, my neighbor came out and verified that he didn't hear it kick on. Along with a great repair job, Stephen "taught" us a few tricks to keep our unit running longer and staying in good condition. I enjoyed the teaching experience. As I said, I don't know about ARS in general, but I do know that I will use this company as long as Stephen does the job. He's the man -- and I loved his Boston accent. read more

SCAM ALERT!!! Called them Monday for 2 AC units, I told them there was a sense of urgency. WARNING!!! If they come up with OPTION 1 this price OPTION 2 this price RUN!!!!!! The tech said they would contact me the next day to give me an estimate. He told me i needed to give them a cc for deposit of $575 and the total cost would be $2300 + freon. I called Tuesday for a copy of the quote and my deposit and to find out when the part would arrive... I called them 3 times that day. Wednesday I called them again 3 times was promised each time they would call me right back. Thursday after the 3 rd call I got so angry they let me wait for 15min and then transferred me to someone who told me that bc of warranty this part was now over $4000. The AC probably cost something like that. I now have to get me depost back via my cc. I called a different company they came the same day and fixed both ACs for less than $1000 freon included. SHAME ON THEM FOR SCAMMING PEOPLE LIKE THIS!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM! CALL ANYONE ELSE! read more

Travis P, the technician that came to my house to do a tune up for the air conditioning, was very professional, explained everything in great detail, verified that we understood all the options we had. I would recommend him for any work but the company that is another story. After being provided the list of items that they said needed repair they provided us pricing which is almost the cost of a new air conditioning unit. As and example, we asked about replacing the thermostat that wasn't functioning properly and was quoted $295.00 to put the one that they had in the vehicle. It was a standard thermostat. When received a follow-up phone call to find out about the experience, I told the person that called the same thing about their high prices and their answer was: "We stand behind our work". At this time we are shopping around for another company to make sure is true what they said that is wrong with the air conditioning. read more

I called ARS Orlando to tune-up my A/C system for the upcoming hot summer in Florida. The service technician, Keiland Smith arrived promptly and asked for some background information to make sure I was getting the services that I needed and wanted. He pointed out the the unit was being overworked because it was a bit small for the house but should still be more efficient. He was very professional and explained the various options I had depending on how much I wanted to invest in my A/C. He was not pushy at all in offering services that I declined but also wanted to make sure I understood the benefits of those services. Keiland was excellent and took his time and I truly believe this was the best service technician that I have encountered in all my years of getting my A/C serviced. I highly recommend him and will specifically ask for him the next time I need A/C service. read more

Install ARS/RR Saturday 13 April 2024 Terrible mistake! #1 Do NOT use Home Depot Home Services. Their service is poor and the price is double what you will pay going directly to an HVAC contractor. #2 Do NOT use ARS/Rescue Rooter. They promise the moon and the stars and deliver poor products and poor service. I had multiple problems with the install and the euiopment (Rheem). The 24/7 service department is outsourced and is not part of the ARS/RR company. I complained as soon as I heard the new condenser unit about the loud noise and the entire case shaking and vibrating while in operation. They sent 2 technicians who both said there was nothing they could do about it. I called Jenifer the QA mgr 5 times and all she did was play phone tag with me. After a month, I notified Home Depot and a week later my unit is still vibrating and shaking. read more

Had a new AC unit installed by them about a year and a half ago and everything went smoothly. They were very courteous and professional. Like other homeowners that have left comments here before, I also got a 10 year warranty with them, but you must have them come to your home to service the unit twice a year with a tune up. I work at the Home Depot and they almost always run a special on the tune up for about $38.00 instead of the regular price of $80.00 with ARS. This past September they came and gave my unit a tune up and the technician named Deo did a wonderful job. He was very professional and friendly. He even gave some tips on maintaining my unit in tip top shape. So far I haven't had any problems with ARS and their technicians and I do recommend them for your regular AC unit tune up. read more

We choose to install a new A/C system with ARS after talking extensively with their Sales Rep Stephen. We've been looking into getting a new system for some time and made the decision to to with ARS. Stephen did a great job of explaining everything to us i.e. cost of new units, money savings with installing a new unit etc. We felt very comfortable with the decision and a his technicians came out same day and installed our new unit. Shirley and Braulio did a fantastic job. They had such a great attitude, even after they ran into an unforeseen issue. Such hard workers and we were thrilled with the service we have received. I would absolutely recommend ARS Rescue Rooter from Vero Beach Florida over all I have ever used in the past. They were so quick to respond and very meticulous in every aspect of the AC unit. Their cleaning and sealing of the air handler had never been better, plus their cleaning and inspection of the outside unit was amazing. They truly know what they are doing and will do everything to make your unit run more effectively. Aaron was the technician that came to my house and I would highly recommend him. In May we upgraded our old (15 years) single stage, single speed Rheem air conditioner with a new multiple stage, multi speed Rheem air conditioning/heat pump. Our installers were Rick N and his helper George. They arrived on time and were quick to introduce themselves. Neat in appearance and eager to get to work. They were very efficient, moving along and quickly overcoming minor issues along the way. They were courteous of a few interruptions on my part, and answered my questions and concerns readily. They are sub contractors for Home Depot. I put a full new AC unit in my house in August of 2021. I have had nothing but issues since. Installers are terrible. They didn't glue the pvc drain pipe from the air handling unit in my attic. Now I have water damage in my house. The installers didn't hook up wiring right either. I have called several times over the last year and reported all the problems. I have received 2 of their 555 dollar guarantee checks because of no call no show appointments. I'm thinking about getting a lawyer to sue them. Nothing but issue after issue. Do NOT use this company what so ever. read more

I know first hand that this is a caring and responsible company, and that everyone works hard to take care of their customers.
