    Screw lodged in my tire
    Jacob A.

I had a repair that needed to be done on the only car I own, they gave me an estimate on time (week and a half), and two weeks later they finally got it done, but not without a number of back and forth calls. Then, after taking the bus to pick my car up, I found a screw with a head the size of nickel lodged in one of my tires. When I confronted them about it Ben told me that, if Big O tires were willing to patch it up, they would "gladly" pay for it, but if the tire needed to be replaced entirely "there's nothing we can do about it" in Ben's words. Went to Big O and they said it needed to be replaced, so now I'm out another couple hundred bucks because one of Art City's mechanics drove my car over a screw. I won't be recommending this place to anyone.

We went out to look at some other vehicles and came back a couple hours later and was told they would no longer sell it to us at that reduced price. They also told us we couldn't take it to our mechanic who is 15 minutes away because he's outside of Springville. We were paying cash for this today so they just lost out on thousands and we highly recommend nobody wasting your time here to people who don't seem genuine at all.

I should have had a very in depth inspection done on the truck but they seemed so pleasant and honest and easy to work with. I wanted to trust them, and I definitely should not have... at all. I specifically told them I would be driving the truck back home 900 miles. I am lucky to be alive. There were so many major safety issues with the truck that was supposed to be "a great truck". Gus even told me he had changed the oil and had the wheels balanced in preparation for my long drive. I cannot say for sure on the oil but the wheels were definitely not balanced. The list of issues is too long to list here but I should be dead. Long story short I have about $8000 in the truck to make it road safe, not just making it pretty, road safe. Most of the work I have done myself so the majority of that is parts. No matter how much you want to trust them.... DON'T. Protect yourself, they do not care, they just want to make a buck.

When I went to fix the issue, I discovered the dealership had installed a right rear light that doesn't even belong to this car, and it wasn't plugged in because it doesn't fit properly. After buying what I thought was the correct replacement and removing it, I found out that wasn't the right part either, and the third brake light was also incorrect and left unplugged. So essentially, multiple lighting components were mismatched and knowingly left non-functional. I ended up having to go to a junkyard myself, pull the correct parts, and install everything just to make the car safe and legal to drive. On top of that, I also discovered the spare tire underneath the vehicle was so loose it could have fallen off while driving, which is a serious safety hazard. This goes far beyond a minor oversight. These are basic safety items that should have been properly checked and installed before selling the vehicle. Newest update - couple months in: check the vehicle to CREGG Mechanic in Spanish Fork to get the oil changed and they had told me that the dealership might I remind you that they had told me that they were going to change the oil before I purchased the car... And sent me a video of them filling the oil. Fast-forward: The mechanic stated that because of the overflow of oil a gasket blew and was leaking all over the spark plugs. I have to replace the gasket which will be $700 plus the spark plug plugs which is $400. Absolutely ridiculous, This dealership is not honest. I would strongly recommend anyone considering buying from here to thoroughly inspect everything or take the car to a trusted mechanic before purchasing.

What they didn't tell me is that they charge 500.00 for that 'benefit'. they have an anti-theft perk if I bought from them. what they didn't tell me is that was going to cost me 300.00. They also have this great windshield program that if my windshield breaks, they will replace it. That great program was a mere 1500.00 to cover a 5 year period. In my paperwork, I received the registration form for the windshield replacement program, but not the actual warranty. Here I am a year later checking into it, and had to call and argue with the finance guy to give me the warranty details. It turns out, it isn't an insurance, it is a product that they apply on the windshield. They choose to 'fix' the windshield and have pre approved glass providers I have to go to. I already have windshield coverage for my vehicles and they insisted that normal windshield coverage would not cover this expensive windshield. Not true. When I finally got the windshield warranty, there are so many exclusions it will be nearly impossible to collect. I admit, I should have read every bit of information before signing and required written explanation on every concern or question. That is clearly on me. However in the buying process, most people trust that the dealership is honest, laws protect the consumer, or 'I'll read everything when I get home because it takes so long". I no longer trust dealerships, and maybe never should have. They tell have truths, and omit information for the customer to make an informed decision. buyer beware.
