    Dutch Baby Breakfast

This was a pretty good brunch spot. The food was tasty and the wait wasn't too bad. I will say that we've tried to come here before but the wait was so bad to get a table that we left. This time, we came at 9 am and got a table for four without a problem. In the next 30 minutes, it was super busy in this tiny restaurant. The earlier the better!

Everything we ordered was tasty. The waffle was crisp and soft on the inside, while the eggs and toast, and jam was a perfect pair. Ended up going on Tuesday, service was great and pretty fast. I love how the displayed artwork to sell to help support. This is what the order looks like, enjoy. Tia was the best server ever! We visited on Valentine's Day and can I just say I can't believe the line around this place wasn't longer! I wanted everything on the menu. If I could have eaten everything I probably would have. We only waited fifteen minutes for our food. I had the Mac and cheese (DELICIOUS). I don't say this lightly. I'm southern and picky! I wanted to have them again the very next day. I also ordered the salmon Benedict. Amazing. My partner had the curry. She is more picky than I am and ate every bite! We also love the space. It was quaint and quiet. Tables weren't too close and it's not too loud. It was truly a spectacular experience for us. Thank you Tia! The avacado recommendation was solid! We will be back. 30 out of 10

I came here with a friend around 11 am on a Saturday. We were pretty disappointed with the experience. The good: - the space is cute and decorated with fun artwork. - the cinnamon roll latte was delicious! - friendly waitress - food was fine The bad: - when we arrived we put our name and number in. We watched multiple parties go in before us that got there after us. When we went to ask about it we found out they had somehow deleted our name from the list so we waited much longer than we should have - we ended up getting sat upstairs which caused for poor service. The waitress was so friendly but we didn't get checked on often and felt forgotten - the food was just fine. Nothing great but nothing bad either - such slow service with getting our drinks and any help. Ended up walking our check downstairs to pay instead of waiting This is a cute place and I can see why so many people go. They seem understaffed though and a bit disorganized.

Went to art house cafe to n a week day. Even on a Monday it was fairly busy during brunch hours, would definitely recommend calling ahead. They have a fairly large breakfast/brunch menu as well as pizzas. The prosciutto sandwich was good, not amazing but I enjoyed it. We both really like the stuffed biscuit sandwich. The thing I actually enjoyed the most was the house salad which you Can substitute in place of potatoes for 4$. Sounds weird but it was an amazing salad and was a great addition to the meal. Of note their drip coffee was really good! I am not sure what type of coffee they use but it was an exceptional cup of coffee. Over all I would recommend this spot and say check it out some time.

Food: Breakfast Pizza I had high hopes for this pizza. 3 years ago when I came here the breakfast pizza wasn't filled with so many toppings and the egg was a lot more runny. When I got this pizza the egg was fully cooked and honestly not it for this pizza. If it was runny it would have added much more sauce and flavor. But it did fill me up like crazy all the meat in it. I could only eat one slice and then I was too full. But honestly was really craving this pizza and disappointed to not get a runny egg. Cinnamon Roll Actually okay that was bomb. It was so perfectly baked and the cream cheese frosting. This was the only good thing I ate here unfortunately. White Chocolate Lavender latte ...wait let me rename it coffee with some steamed milk. Literally no flavor in it. And for having so many flavors in the name it tasted like a plain latte. Tbh also disappointed but that's fine. Service: The service was fine. Waiters were not nice but also not mean. Just seemed tried from the morning breakfast rush hour. Ambiance: The place was really loud. Chill vibes because they let you sit wherever. The food wasn't wow I have to go back here. It was more wow Im glad I tried this but I probably won't go back here.

The breakfast club and breakfast pizza were very good. Servings way larger than expected and had leftovers from both meals. The pizza could probably feed 3 people! 4 stars because I had to wait awhile at the counter for a table although the person that came to help me was just chatting at the bar and there were many open tables. The pancake was also terrible. It seemed underdone, doughy in the center. Stay away from the pancakes and you'll be good!

It's a cute little brunch place. Lots of options to choose from so I went back and forth trying to decide what to order. But ended up going with my favorite brunch: eggs Benedict! It wasn't anything special but it was made well. The runny yolk was perfection! The potatoes on the side were delish! Our server was sweet and prompt. I got the citrus cortado and it had the perfect hint of sweetness and I enjoyed the fragrance of the citrus zest!

We came here for a birthday breakfast and it did not disappoint. This place is super cozy and charming. The staff were all welcoming, friendly, and attentive. It's a great place to have great food, mimosas and conversation, as it is not an extremely noisy environment as some breakfast and brunch spots can be. The food was beautifully plated and tasted as good as it looked. We had the chorizo scramble and the biscuits and jam. I subbed the goat cheese for feta and it was still superb. The mimosas were tasty and well made. We did not remember to stop into the adjoined art space but plan to revisit again and do so.

A bit of a wait on a Sunday AM, but I'll give then grace. Service was friendly and attentive. They're seasonal drinks were delicious. The dutch baby with bacon and maple glaze is tops and the breakfast pizza is a real winner. I'd say go, and expect a wait.

Wonderful service. We got our food and drinks immediately after ordering. While waiting, we were able to sit near a little heater. It didn't take too long. My eggs were perfectly cooked for the eggs Benedict. My husband scrambler was really delicious. I think it came with some wild mushrooms and could have had more meat. Otherwise, it was piping hot. The rosemary potatoes were good but I would have opted for something else if possible.

Amazing brunch in Tacoma! I usually opt for savory brunch dishes, however I ordered the PB&J waffle with side sausage, and it was so yummy! Great cappuccino too. My friend enjoyed her chorizo hash and cranberry juice. Our server was friendly and attentive. The space is cozy and cute.

New Years Eve, brunch. It was busy with a 20 minute wait, but staff was really nice. A very cheerful and diverse crowd, with families, couples, babies and seniors. They have a good coffee bar and cocktails. We had eggs Benedict and pancakes with bacon, which was perfect really. Afterward we had a nice walk around the neighborhood to see the historic high school and waterfront views. A very memorable visit! See their website for ideas around groups and team building activities.

Pet friendly while there's outdoor sitting?

I have seen a little pup out there dining with their owner before. Not certain if it was a service dog or not though.

    Any vegan options?

Yes, there are a few vegan options. And the chefs would be happy to accommodate any special requests.

Is it still opened? Walked by twice in the last few weeks and appears closed.

They are only open till 2 during the week, saw them open a few weeks ago and also follow them on Facebook and don't see anything about being closed there. I'd give them a call maybe it was an emergency thing.

She said the burger was great, and she knew there were going to be caramelized onions, but there was a lot packed in the middle of the patty. The novelty wore off quickly. She still said it was good overall. I ordered the Scarlet Rosemary (chicken and homemade pasta), and it was really good. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was fantastic, but the only problem was; there wasn't enough of it (sauce) and when the dish cooled as we ate, you couldn't taste the sauce much. About 7-10 minutes after getting our food, my friend took a bite of my pasta and said "I don't taste any flavor at all" and I realized I was mostly tasting the chicken at this point and I was sliding the pasta in the very small bit of sauce on the plate. As we came with my best friend, who, by the way, was the reason why I finally stepped foot here, wait time wasn't long as she came about 5 minutes earlier than I. We came for brunch and it was busy but the wait was not bad at all. The both of us ordered the same items on the menu from both the drinks, the main and dessert - a sangria, Shakshuka with lamb, and beignets. We also brought our daughters with us. They ordered a cheeseburger with a side of caesar salad and a mac n cheese dish from the kids menu. Our orders were delicious, although I was expecting the shakshuka dish to be heftier. For the price - $17. xx with an additional $4 to add lamb - it was a little disappointing, to be honest, especially since it was lacking in the lamb department. I was still hungry but thankfully I had my 4 year old's leftover cheeseburger and salad to fill me right up. As for the beignets, it was good. I don't have anything to compare it to since I don't know what an actual beignet tastes like. Would I return? Sure.

First, the service was poor and disorganized. One of my friends arrived early and ordered her drink, but it didn't arrive until after I had already received mine -- even after she asked twice. We also had to wait far too long for basic things like napkins and forks because we weren't given enough for everyone. The most frustrating part, however, was the automatic gratuity. At no point were we informed -- verbally or on the menu -- that parties of 6 or more are charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We only discovered it by carefully reviewing our checks. And to make matters worse, the so-called "20%" was not actually 20%. It came out to 24.1%. When we questioned it, the person who said she was the manager claimed "the computer does it automatically." We are a table full of teachers -- and the math was definitely not mathing. We understand and respect gratuity for large parties, especially when the service is great or when it's clearly communicated. But charging more than the stated percentage crosses from poor service into a billing integrity issue. To add to the frustration, there is also a credit card processing fee, which again was not clearly disclosed on the menu and only appeared at the bottom of the receipt. This absolutely should be visibly posted before ordering. They did offer to refund some of the charges, but we declined because it would have taken additional time and we had an event to get to -- and more importantly, it doesn't resolve the core issue of lack of transparency. She also gave each of us a $10 gift card, but again, that doesn't resolve the issue. And honestly, what good is a gift card if we don't plan on returning because of such an awful experience? Overall, this was a very disappointing visit, and not one we would recommend based on service and transparency alone.
