    Lamb Gyros
    Jennifer E.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and we finally went. The food was fresh. I ordered the shrimp pita, while my husband chose the lamb gyros, and we shared the dolmas. However, my shrimp pita only contained three shrimp. I opted for a Greek salad instead of fries. My husband said his dish was fine. Overall, the restaurant was much more crowded than I expected for a Thursday night in Bee Caves. The staff did their best to keep up with the demand. Although I saw two servers, the manager also helped out where he could. It took a while for us to be acknowledged and for our orders to be taken. However, the food came out quickly after we ordered. The place has a large patio area as well as indoor seating, plus a sizable bar with TVs. I felt the food was fresh and well-prepared. I do wish there had been more shrimp in my pita and that the price was lower. I paid $19 for a pita with just three shrimp, and there was an extra charge for the salad instead of fries. Since we don't eat out as much as we used to, I'm not sure when we will return.

    Salmon special, so good!!

My significant other and I had lunch at Artemis for the first time a couple of days ago. We had wanted to have a nice lunch date, but time got away from us, so I took to Yelp to find a restaurant nearby so we could at least have a good meal, even if at a casual restaurant. When we arrived at Artemis, I was pleased to find that Artemis looked more upscale than it did in the pictures I saw. Again, we were hungry so we weren't expecting nice ambiance, only good food, but we got both! I ordered the salmon special, and it was amazing! It was light, creamy, and citrusy... and those mashed potatoes with feta and spinach, divine! My significant other got a bowl with ahi tuna and also really enjoyed it, to the point that he wanted to return to Artemis last night, which we did! Last night, we ordered a variety of things, and were pleased to discover that they have a small kids menu. Everything we had was again delicious, but what most stood out to me were the lentil soup and the seasoned fries. They were so flavorful! The service both times was great. We were happy with the friendly staff. I think we'll definitely be returning if and when we find ourselves in this area again.

Service was a little slow a couple times we've been here, but we really love the food and enjoy coming here. It's a nice restaurant with a nice bar, friendly servers we enjoy it

In A Nutshell: -This is a nice neighborhood restaurant for decent Mediterranean food. -I enjoyed their Herb Oven Roasted Chicken which came w/ small potatoes & baby carrots. -The Mezze sampler is highly recommended. -The falafel, dolmas, hummus, babba ghanoush, tzaziki and tabbouleh, served with pita bread, olives, and pepperoncinis were superb. Overall, this place seemed to be popular w/ the locals.

tried this place and it was super tasty! the service was great as well and the interior is beautiful !

We came here during Happy Hour and ordered the falafels, lamb gyro, & a chicken gyro. The service was friendly but they did send out the wrong appetizers, so for future reference the fried pickles looked good, but they belonged to someone else. I wasn't a fan of the falafels, they were not very flavorful compared to other falafels we have had. However the experience was redeemed by the best seasoned fries I have ever had! I normally just order them as a side and don't pay much attention but these fries were so good that I would order them by themselves. Both gyros were both very good and flavorful! We will definitely be returning for those fries and I want to check out the baklava.

    Gyro plate & gyro wrap!

My husband and I just moved to lakeway and we found this place spontaneously after stopping by Lowe's! We were both blown away & will 100% be returning frequently. We both ordered traditional lamb gyro dishes. It was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff is super attentive and friendly. We sat outdoors which had some ambiance with the string lights and melodic music playing which was a major bonus!

This is one of my girlfriend's favorite monthly haunts. She always gets the house Salad with Gyros. I met her here once before and we sat at the bar. Great service! Great food! Today I met her here once again and we sat in the middle of the room. They have a large patio on the side as well as a pretty dining room with a small bar area. I ordered a lavender lemonade with half unsweetened tea which was OK. Not as lemony as expected. Next we tried the dolmas. They eere fresh had a sweet lemon sauce with crunchy raw red onion. The flavor was good but the grape leaves were a bit tough, unfortunately. Next she had a Gyros Plate and I had a Lamb Souvlake plate. Both were really good. Mine came with a garlic dip that was really good. The lamb is cooked to order and came out a perfect medium, as requested. It was overall very good with a few minor adjustments needed in the preparations. Service, again, was really good and attentive. Bonus points for the on the house to-go drinks offered after the paid bill.

Delicious food! Love the variety of vegetarian options. We got the Falafel burger (cut in half) with Greek salad, along with Veggie Pita with fries. The burger was great, and the fries were seasoned well. Service was good. Recommend this place to anyone!

My wife and I stopped in on Christmas Eve after church. The restaurant was somewhat busy, staff greeted us at the door and sat us. We ordered pita/ hummus, Greek Salad and a Lamb Gyro. Everything was delicious! Absolutely delicious! We split the lamb gyro so they cut it and served on a couple plates. Staff were great, the ambiance was nice and we'll definitely be coming back.

I liked it, wife didn't. She said food was tasteless. I thought it was OK. A little pricey. I'd go back, but I'm not going to eat alone.

I was glad we were seated outside though because even though it was a warm evening, their fans were very effective creating a constant gentle breeze. The music enhanced the experience with a fun and upbeat vibe. I truly felt like was sitting at club/bar/restaurant during a cool summer night in Greece! Just incredible. The staff were also great! Friendly and accommodating from the time we checked in for our reservation. Our server was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with my gluten sensitivity! The food was delicious too. Shout out to the chefs! The village salad (also reminded me of a traditional Greek village salad) was refreshing, the hot honey halloumi was like nothing I have ever tasted before, I regret not ordering extra to-go!, the Lamb chops made me feel like we were celebrating Easter - the seasoning was spot on and cooked to perfection, the Lamb and beef kefta with rice was also tasty, but the lamb chops are the clear winner. Don't forget to get dessert! If you have a gluten sensitivity like me, you are safe with the Pistachio Panna Cotta. It was a flavor high I didn't want to end! Lol. But seriously, it was super delicious, sweet, and just the right portion. Also FYI: we shared every plate. It's the way to go there, and I'm glad our server recommended that we order everything up front and they simply bring it out as each plate is ready. (Except for dessert and drinks - order those at the appropriate times of course). Speaking of our server, Lauren S, she was on it!!! Not only was she able to serve us and other tables extremely well, there was also a very large party of around 15 people next to us that she also served. Yet she always seemed to be around when you needed her and always with a friendly smile and positive attitude. Shout out to Lauren!!! You were amazing. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner memorable. Can't wait to visit Aba again!

We had a reservation and the host sat us down immediately and was so friendly. Our server was there right away. Her service was just perfect ... friendly and not over the top. She was knowledgeable about the dishes and gave us suggestions. We had a mockingbird mocktail and my son a soda. The drink was perfect. We ordered the whipped feta, falafel and beef Lamb kefta. Everything came out really quickly. The falafel was absolutely delicious. The whipped feta was a hit with my son. The kefta was a little disappointing. A little bland and dry. I ordered the pannacotta my son the chocolate chocolate cake. I absolutely loved mine with the sorbet on top. My son loved his cake. Atmosphere wise the restaurant is beautiful and cozy and grand but the only complaint would be the music was too loud and it was hard to hold a conversation. For me it doesn't match a nice restaurant but rather a bar concept I would say it was great service and great food

It's one of those places that's reliable and feels pretty consistent, knowing you're going to leave happy and full after eating here. The two times we've been there, theres always plenty of seating and are able to walk right in. It's a walk in and seat yourself experience and then you pay upon leaving. The staff keeps the dining area and buffet line consistently stocked and clean. They even provide hand sanitizer and gloves for you. Even when foot traffic picked up while we were there, the food was replenished quickly and didn't look picked over. Now let's talk food...Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and like it was made with care instead of just being "buffet food" an under seasoned. The variety is also amazing, and it's easy to build a plate for pretty much any type of diet whether you're keto, high protein, balanced, veggie-forward, vegan, etc... Some of our favorite dishes we keep coming back for: Shredded beef (SO good), Baked fish (tender and not fishy), Garlic baked chicken (wonderful crispy skin), Fried chicken, Baked kafta, Kafta kebab, Gyro meat, Roasted cauliflower, Eggplant, Greek salad, Fatoush, Kale Caesar salad, Zaatar pizza, Cheese pizza (pro tip: top it with shredded beef- a life changing buffet hack), Rice with lentils, Rice with mixed veggies. For the quality, variety and amount of food you get, this is easily one of the best deals in the city! It's rare to find a buffet that's both affordable and consistently this good! If I had one small wish, it would be for desserts to match how strong the rest of the food is. They're not bad, just a little more "fine" compared to how amazing everything else is. I've seen another Dimassi's (I think in Cali) that had a frozen yogurt machine and I'd LOVE to see that here because it would be the perfect finish! Make a cup and then crumble up some baklava on it! Overall we've LOVED it here and we'll absolutely keep coming back! Great food, clean, consistent, and worth it every time!

This is a must get especially if you love warm and creamy stuff. The outside is nicely fried and if you never had it, it's similar to Japanese takoyaki. Although I love it a lot, the portion was just right for sharing because it really fills you up. We also got the potatoes (nice, but nothing that blew my mind) and chicken empanadas that I thought had a strange, sour taste. I wouldn't get that again. I highly recommend getting different tapas instead of the main courses so you can try different things. We were completely satisfied with the meal after getting these but still made room for the orange almond cake!! This was extraordinarily good!! Not too sweet and the cake has a nice moist texture-not dry. It took a while for food to arrive so service was a bit slow. You can also sit outside if you want but we sat indoors since it was chilly. It's a smaller restaurant so it's nice for an intimate meal or date. They have a bar. There's parking in the back, which is where the entrance is. I decided to order a mini Persian feast: the beef koobideh with rice, doogh yogurt drink, and a saffron ice cream for dessert. This was my first time trying beef koobideh, and unfortunately, this just didn't seem to be very good. The meat itself was okay, decently cooked, and topped with quite a lot of some spice that I can't quite put my finger on. It was okay. The rice though, that is what really disappointed me. Persian rice is usually amazing, but this really didn't seem traditional and it had a strange taste to it. It also came with onion and a grilled tomato, both solid additions. Good portion though. The doogh yogurt drink wasn't homemade like I had hoped, but in all honesty, it still really hit the spot on a hot Austin day. Reasonable price. The saffron rice was also fairly disappointing. Large white chunks (clotted cream maybe? But they were pretty tasteless), gritty texture, not much flavor. Just not really worth it. All in all, a bit of a disappointing dinner in Austin.
