My boyfriend and I stopped here one night because we were craving pasta and we will definitely be back. It's located in a cute food truck park and I never would've known about it if it weren't for Google because it's not super close to downtown Austin. My boyfriend got the Sausage Mushroom Pasta and loved it and I'd say the same for the Four Cheese Gnocchi. Everything was super flavorful and perfectly cooked. Fair warning, portions are huge but that didn't stop us from eating it all. My only wish is that they offered protein add-one, I would've loved to add chicken to my dish! Admittedly, my trips to The Thicket nowadays are for the purpose of eating three barbacoa tacos from Un Mundo de Sabor. That said, the wife and kiddo like to switch it up sometimes because they're not creatures of habit like I am. And every time they do, ARTIPASTA is the preferred truck. Let me take a quick step back. We throw around the phrase, "they love their craft" too casually sometimes. And when we do, we actually doing a disservice to folks like the crew at ARTIPASTA because, let me tell you, they absolutely love it. With such passion comes a heightened degree of attention and care that you not only appreciate but also admire. The pastas are all delicious, the cheeses, pungent, creamy, and exploding with just the right amount of flavor. Expensive and not worth it. We had high hopes to finally try this place out. Had seen their brick and mortar at the linc and advertising on social media. We tried their food truck. Plates are a tad bit pricey so our expectations were going to be high. My bf got the "special" which was lasagne for $17+. It was a healthy serving size but you could tell it was zapped in the microwave. The center was cold he said. Was probably the one menu item not made fresh. I got the Caserecce with broccoli and sausage. It was also lack luster. No sauce just olive oil over pasta with meat. The sausage didn't taste that great either. Above all was the 30 minute wait. I love Patrizi's; so, when I heard new pasta food truck is in Austin, I had to go! FOOD// I ordered one of their popular dish, "Tagliatellle with House Meat Sauce" and their dessert, "Tiramisu." First, their pasta is home-made; so, like WOW! They are super chewy and the sauce blends so well with the pasta to be flavorful. At first, I wasn't thinking about pasta portion, but when I received it, I did think it was little small. However, I think that was the right portion to make me satisfied. I hope they make garlic bread :D AND FINALLY, let me talk about TIRAMISU. I have only had at few places...but this place is tied with my other favorite tiramisu (in Austin) from DOLCE BACIO. We are Italian and spaghetti is worst we have ever tasted it was dry as if reheated in microwavepaid hefty price and do not recommend the spaghetti. will not try anything else there. The food truck is located inside a lovely food park called thicket trailer park. The place was pretty nice. It's my first time trying the gnocchi, had it with tomato sauce and mozzarella and tagliatelle with house meat sauce. Both were really tasty, I enjoyed my gnocchi, the pasta was chewy and the mozzarella tasted fresh, however I didn't get any basil leaf, which was definitely loss of part of the flavor. The tagliatelle was creamy and rich, just wish there's more meat lol. We waited for 15min for the pasta, which is a little bit longer in terms of getting food from food trucks. I ordered it semi frequently a couple of years ago when I got a new physically demanding job and was so tired after work I knew I wouldn't have the will to cook for myself. I got the truffle pasta and it was only pasta noodles and sauce with limited options for protein and/or veggies. It was tasty, but I was hungry again very soon after. Wow! Perhaps the best Italian I've had in Austin. Came here around 6pm on a Tuesday & got the 4 dishes pictured. Everything was fresh, al dente as it should be, & good ratio of sauce to pasta. The chicken ravioli was my favorite! I'm partial to rosemary and balsamic though :) The cacio e pepe with spaghetti noodles was a very close second. Such a simple meal but when the ingredients are fresh & flavorful you don't need anything more. We ate on a picnic table - it's a rustic park, FYI. But cute and easy to be socially distanced. Amazing, amazing fresh pasta! I've been meaning to check out this place for awhile since I live around the corner. Last week, I finally tried them out and got the: - Tagliatelle and meat sauce - Cacio & Pepe - Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli All three pastas were great, but I loved the cacio & pepe. Something so simple, but so good. My husband ate the tagliatelle and really enjoyed the heartier pasta with meat sauce. For me, I didn't finish my portion and saved some for lunch the next day. They aren't huge, Olive Garden-style portions, but pasta is very filling and I felt there was plenty given the quality of the dish. I will for sure be coming back and hope to try the spaghetti carbonara - they were sold out the last time I ordered. Worth checking these guys out - the quality and presentation is top notch and they are great at handling to-go orders during COVID. read more

Heard this place had great pasta and I had to try! There's 3 workers in the truck, and they're absolutely slammed with Uber eats / doordash orders. You guys shouldn't stress and over exhaust yourselves to make those orders while you have plenty of people who have already paid waiting for their food. It's horrible for your business. The staff kept telling us "5 minutes left" , for 20 minutes. Just say you're not cooking it yet man , Don't bother with this place in person. It's in the most pretty, and walkable area yet they do not serve the people walking! Watched a dozen or so drivers leave/ come back/ get their food in the pouring rain before they were able to serve the people in front of them. About 30-40 minutes of total waiting for about 700 calories of calories per meal. $15 of gnocchi is a child's snack. It was delicious though, so there's that :) Updating since the business owner claims waiting an hour in the pouring rain, and poor service, are all a part of the experience. You guys "not skipping the line" created an even bigger problem with all your actual customers cancelling their orders, because they had to wait an incredibly long time. Most people were kind, your staff was not. Your staff was the opposite of, "welcoming". Great to see where they get it from! So sorry!!! read more

Limited menu due to grub hub or corona, not sure, but we will definitely try this place again. I'm excited to try the Northern style lasagna. Very friendly owner and efficient service. The macaroni with Gorgonzola cheese and crumbled walnuts was excellent. The gnocchi with butter and sage was somewhat bland and needed more flavor, but the gnocchi dumplings were perfectly cooked. Some errands in south Austin were the perfect excuse to finally try out Artipasta. It was hard to decide what I wanted but reading that their lasagna was sold out, I went with the tagliatelle with cream sauce, ham and peas. The pasta was great, the sauce was ok, and the ham and peas were an absolute letdown. Rather than providing a fresh contrast to the salty ham and rich sauce, the peas were grey and mealy. I ended up eating the pasta and leaving the toppings until my I lost interest in a monotonous plate of carbs. As I was eating, I heard the staff tell someone that they actually did have lasagna and they hadn't bothered to change their sign. Bummer! I respect that they're making so much from scratch, and the food is good, but not all-over-Instagram, drive-to-south-Austin good. read more

The pictures of Artipasta looked good and there was always a line as people were just stopping by to pick up their orders, so you are able to order food online. The serving sizes are good and I was able to make it two meals. For the price the portion size is good. They also had Italian sodas. What I did not see on the menu was garlic bread. It was a cold, gloomy day in Austin...and I knew I wanted something comforting, and what better thing to eat on a day like this than pasta?! I had read about ARTIPASTA a few weeks before travelling here, and bookmarked it on Yelp so I would remember to check it out. I ordered the Tagliatelle with meat sauce to go. It was a pretty good portion for one person. Not too much where you fee blah after. When I got back to my hotel, I was confused by the lemony smell coming from the bag. Did they accidentally give me Spaghetti Al Limone?! Nope! Just a sprig of rosemary on top. This pasta is very, very northern style - the meat sauce is not heavy, not a traditional red sauce per se. It's a touch on the creamy side, with a bit of a nutmeg flavour. Very nice! I would love to check out more ARTIPASTA dishes if I have some extra time in Austin.
