Tried this restaurant for the first time. This is my take on this place. 1 star for the cold fried tofu 1 star for the cold buns 4.5 stars for the ramen portions and the taste 5 stars for the friendly waitresses We will try this place again hopefully next time my food will come out hotter. read more

This place has great ambiance and service was quick. I had the tonkontsu soy sauce ramen with spicy noodles. The pork is a little dry but the broth of my ramen was amazing. The noodles were far from soggy and accompanied the soup base well. The gyozas we're a little pricey but tasted great. They were filled with meat and had good flavor. I would give them 5 stars but the gyozas were a little over priced and I wanted the noodles to be a little softer...I will be back to try the classic noodles and maybe some of the team. read more

Artisan ramen for me has been a hit or miss but tonight was just very disappointing. I got takeout with a spicy tuna roll. Not sure what was in our spicy tuna roll but it was not tuna... it was something grey, almost seemed like salmon skin (see the picture). Overall very disappointed. read more

I've been here sooo many times, and each time is better than the last! The veggie goyza is the best I've ever tried! As always, the customizable ramen is so great. I highly recommend adding the black garlic! My server Israel was AMAZING! He was personable, had great suggestions, and was genuinely kind! The waitress was very pleasant and informative. We went for lunch in a Saturday and there was only 1 other customer in the place. Awesome food!! The sushi tacos were a great combo of sushi and crispy taco shell with a nice spice! The miso ramen with spicy noodles was amazing. The shiitake mushrooms were candy sweet. read more

Vegetable tempura... taste good but too oily and the texture is definitely not the traditional Japanese temperature, even the sauce is not tempura sauce, just a sour chili dip. Tonkatsu ramen portion is huge and very fulfilling. Nevertheless, I don't think this is the best or authentic Japanese ramen. read more

This restaurant has so much potential.The flavor is good, but I left disappointed on two occasions. Both of my orders lacked a proper amount of meat and fresh vegetables in it. Honestly pretty good. This was my first time eating at a place like this and I wasn't disappointed. My biggest complaint was the wait to get seated. There were so many open tables and once the three small groups we gone, the one waitress lady slowly took one thing at a time from the table. She was in absolutely no rush at ALL to get my group and a mother group (who had been there longer than us) seated. Once the table was clear, she took one cup at a time to the table.. meanwhile the "bartender" was on his phone or flirting with the girls at the "bar". The only person who was working hard was the guy who served us. He was super funny and nice and a great host honestly. Not my cup of ramen. What a disappointment. A bowl of soup $12 plus. Chicken was very tough. I had chewing gum that was easier to chew. Artisan Ramen Star Wars - Our New Year's Eve dinner was terrific! Great venue, fast, friendly waitstaff, delicious food all around. We weren't sure why there was so much Star Wars decoration on the walls, why Baby Groot in a Christmas sweater was on the bar, but no matter! It made our visit interesting and we loved watching the "live" stream of someone walking around Japan somewhere on the tv behind our table. We think it was Japan anyway, but it literally was someone walking up and down some streets, stopping to buy a drink from a vending machine, holding a camera out in front of them. Anyway, we ordered three appetizers and they all were delicious: Spicy Edamame, Vegetable Gyoza, and Agedashi Tofu - highly recommend them all. We were able to get vegan ramen here in a rich broth with just the right amount of spice and heat. We would all come here again and bring friends. I like a lot of ingredients in my ramen, so I wish they had more to choose from, but it was still very, very good. That's the only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars Next time I'd like to try the Japanese Curry as I've never had one before. Oh, and one interesting fact our waitress told us when we ordered saki. She informed us when sake is heated, it's usually done so to hide the bad taste if it's a poor quality sake! We ordered ours cold. Super good! I had a Hibiscus Berry Lemonade which was supposedly had vodka in it, but I didn't taste any, and neither did my companion. Wanted to introduce an old friend to a fairly new find. Met @ 6pm on a Wed. and got a major bonus: "Tallest for Smallest" drink special (till call brand cocktails vs rail drinks). PLUS, the best Raman ever. You create to your liking, add extras. Thick & hearty. My friend backed off the Raman but loved his sushi. Definitely not your college dorm Raman! Very hearty and tasty. We were in town for a night and this restaurant was close to our hotel. I'd never had restaurant ramen before, so I didn't know what to expect. The veggie ramen with black garlic added was delicious. The chili noodles sounded good, but I decided to try the regular noodles with Japanese spice level two added. It was pretty spicy, so I was glad to have the regular noodles to balance it out. The black garlic oil was especially tasty on the soft boiled egg. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely go back again and try other combinations. read more

We just ate here in route to Chicago . I liked how clear the menu was laid out and how all the items included were listed as my picky son could customize his ramen bowl . I ordered the chicken with shoyu sauce with classic noodles . It was very yummy . My daughter liked her curry chicken. The service was excellent. We had a lovely African American young lady as our waitress who was pleasant and checked on us frequently. After we left, the sweet waitress ran outside to give me my camera bag that I had accidentally left. Wow she was a life saver as we are from out of town traveling to Chicago . Finally got our ramen fix after being in Los Angeles for 3 months right next to Korea town. First, it half off appetizers on Friday, we ordered the Vegetable tempura, vegetable dumplings, Momofoku: braised pork belly with lettuce and spicy mayo blend, served on a lotus bun ,and spicy edamame, all the appetizers at a total cost of about $12.00. They were all delicious. The ramen was different from Los Angeles but delicious in its own way. The pork in the ramen, absolutely fantastic. Watch the spice level, it goes from 0 to 3, 1 was great, 2 was very hot. And we got a boba tea, not quite what I'm used to from L.A. but good, I probably should have gotten the classic and the only complaint I would have is that they did not have straws big enough to suck up the gelatin balls. Lol. Our waitress Tyra, was absolutely fantastic and the owners came up frequently to ask how things were. Will definitely return. read more

Great spot for cold February night in Milwaukee! Gyoza was great, ramen was super yummy- especially crispy pork. I went with pork + miso+ classic ramen+ black garlic + butter. Only improvement I'd make is to the egg, which I'd make fresh and keep yolk loose. Lovely service from Israel. We'll be back! read more
