I've never visited a medical professional where I felt like the doctor was slimy. I left this office (which is really hard to find) feeling like I just encountered a used car salesman. I've ALWAYS heard from dentists that my teeth are great - clean, straight (thanks to teenage braces), pretty white, and aligned for the most part. I get cleanings every 6 months on the dot and have never had any issues or cavities. This dentist told me my teeth were terribly dirty and tried to sell me an additional cleaning. Sure, I should floss more - but we all should. I was shocked to hear this but paid for it anyway since I trusted him. On my way out of the office, I casually mentioned that I was getting married since they tried to schedule my follow-up during the week of my wedding. I swear I saw dollar signs in the dentist's eyes, instantly stating that he would do a teeth whitening bundle for my fiancee and I. My teeth are very white thanks to Crest, so this made me feel even more like I was with the used car salesmen of dentists. Needless to say, I don't recommend this place. read more

Waited over 30 minutes for my appointment that I had to show up 15 minutes early for to fill out paperwork. 15 minutes were used with X-rays, more than once needing to be retaken. The dentist then wouldn't clean my teeth because I needed a deep cleaning; ok, that is fine, but he said he didn't have enough time. Well, considering I was already there for an HOUR, I understand. But it was ridiculous to come in for that long for nothing. Paid $20 for the X-rays and office visit. Waste of my time. read more

I've been a patient at Artistic Dentistry since 2009 and Dr. Nikraz always has the best intentions for his patients. He's performed everything on me from fillings, root canals, a procedure I believe called a maxillary labial frenectomy ( when you have a lip tie ), fittings for a mouth guard and deep cleanings. Yesica who is the office manager and the lovely lady who is gentle with x-rays and so sweet to see 4 times a year, are nothing short of superior professional excellence! I have changed schedules at the last minute, and their entire office team is so quick to accommodate & so easy to work with! ***Do not cancel your appointment though, keep it! They are such high demand & people drive to see them from L.A. and Riverside and North San Diego, I drive 19 miles south, because after 15 years of caring for my teeth, there is nowhere I will ever go! So if you reschedule, you may have to wait 1-2 months, because they are the best dentists & are super busy! I have bad teeth, saliva with high acidity levels, I floss before I brush, but still, just bad genetics. I am a Connecticut resident. My family and I were on vacation in California for 3 days when the misfortunes of the need for an emergent root canal came upon me. Dr Amir Nikraz and his staff took my situation quite seriously and gave me an emergent appointment at his office. When I arrived I was in severe pain and I had what he called a "hot tooth" with a severe infection in the gum and I needed I root canal. He treated me with with great concern and respect and although his schedule was quite full he did not treat me like it was. He took his time and allowed me to come to the conclusion that I needed to be treated right there and then. I felt no pain with anything he did, from the novocaine injections to the root canal itself, painless. As for as the pain from the infection he said that will last for another two weeks and after one week it has been doing just that, diminishing every day. If I ever find myself in California needing dental work I will return to Dr Nikraz. I found his work, his technique and chair side manner to be a higher caliber than the Dentists here in CT. I am a Registered Nurse so I appreciate competency when I see it. Thank you to both him and his office staff who made that difficult time in my life a little easier to manage. read more

Dr Nikraz is a top sells man, who doesn't care too much about your well being nor saving your teeth. I went to him last October (a year ago) to fix couple cavities, as he was taking my insurance. Well a year later and I am still trying to fix the damage he did to my teeth. I would call him rather a butcher than a dentist of any sort. While most dentist leave the small micro cavities alone and do not trill a huge hole into a good tooth, he does exactly that. And thanks to his sloppy work, I was on painkillers for a whole month and I had to travel to Europe on top of that. So my whole trip was ruined due the pain and the drowsiness from the pills. When I got back, I went to another dentist and showed them my previous x-rays. Needless to say they did not agree with Dr Nikraz approach and said that he caused unnecessary damage to 2 of my teeth and that most of the seals were broken and they have to re-do everything. Dr Nikraz also told me that I need 2 root canals with crowns - luckily, I told him I will do it after my trip. The other dentist said I would not need even one!! Also, he did the worst tooth cleaning on me ever and convinced me to pay 60 bucks for a special 5 second bacteria killing mouth rinse "because I really needed it" right!!! Do not trust him. Save your teeth and go to somebody else. The rest of the employees are super friendly and helpful. They deserve 5 stars. read more
