I came here on NYE because unbeknownst to me the nail shop that I usually go to was closed and this place was open and nearby. BIG mistake. I've been getting gel manicures for 20+ years and when the nail tech cuts your cuticles , sometimes, not often , there can be a small amount of blood. This particular nail tech cut too deep and my finger was bleeding profusely. Initially the tech didn't apologize and she attempted to continue to polish with WET blood dripping down my nail an all over my finger the dip the brush back in the polish. Very unsanitary. I had to literally stop the service myself multiple times. The pictures attached is after I applied pressure for 10 minutes and cleaned it a bit but as you can see it's STILL bleeding. My nails look horrible. The owner was friendly but I will never come here again. read more

Super bummed to have to update my review (I've posted 2 positive reviews previously). Cam & her staff have been so kind, but last time I got acrylics they weren't sealed well so after only 1.5 weeks I had to get a fill and multiple of my nails turned green due to bacteria/ fungus from water getting in between my nail and the acrylic. I figured it was a one time thing and trusted after this fill it wouldn't happen again. However, after only 1.5 weeks after that fill, more of my nailed started turning green. I went in today to have my acrylics removed and was charged $15 for the removal and this is what was underneath. It's going to take months to grow out and I'm super disappointed because I was looking forward to having a new nail place so close to me with friendly staff. Again, Cam and her staff are so nice and welcoming, but after this happening twice I won't be returning. read more

I came here for the first time and left EXTREMELY satisfied! They took me in immediately as a walk in for a gel polish manicure (natural nail, no acrylics). The young lady was very nice, and meticulous with her work. The color is a beautiful. And she didn't leave the polish looking blotchy or bumpy. The gel wasn't splotched either, it's smooth and covers the full nail. The last 3 manicures I've had done all at different locations and they each had me disappointed. so I was skeptical about trying a fourth location new for the first time. But no, leaving very happy and immediately sent pictures to my sister to show her the great work! Very reasonable prices too. I have come here a handful of times because i never have time, but when i do, is simply perfect! I'm super satisfied with the service there. The ladies are super friendly, and accommodating. The place is super clean too. Is best to set up an appointment, but walk ins are totally welcome, and you don't wait long to be seen. They have gentle hands, and give you what you ask for. At this point I'm just looking for a salon that won't cut me, and this isn't it. Of course my toe was cut during my pedicure and instead of acknowledging it, the esthetician just tried to wipe the blood away repeatedly. She finally apologized when it was time to pay. Sigh. This is a no frills salon. No massage chairs and they still use portable foot baths. That's not an issue because it can still get the job done. It was my first time visiting this salon yesterday. I got a short nail full set and a pedicure. I initially asked for a few rhinestones on each nail but the lady told me they would just fall off so she added dots instead to replace the rhinestones when she was done she charged me $125 for something I didn't even ask for. the nail color and design was not what I wanted and I never got a price breakdown as to why it cost so much. She charged way too much for short basic nails I usually get a full set with designs, eyebrows and a pedicure in a spa chair at my usual salon and I've never paid this much. I regret the three-star rating because everyone here was extremely nice. I like that they close on Sundays and Mondays to give their workers a proper weekend, but here is where my praise ends. Like many other nail shops in the post pandemic world, they need to trash all of their polish and purchase new. It's just not good after having sat so long on the shelf. My manicure came out lumpy and uneven, which I could see was due to the older polish (but I had selected the freshest looking bottle I could see). The chairs and furnishings are quite old. You have to sit turned to the side to get a mani/pedi, which is just rather awkward. Seems like a neighborhood institution, and again, they were very nice. Just bring your own polish if you go. Price was very reasonable, $40 + tip to remove a gel mani and do a regular mani/pedi. read more

Went to this nail salon today and was pretty impressed!! To be fully transparent, this is not the fanciest nail salon with the most amenities. In fact the pedicure setup is makeshift. But i've been to some of the nicest nail salons out there and some have been absolutely horrible (nails chipping or peeling, uneven paint job). Artistic definitely does a great job and very reasonable prices! The owner was super nice, said hello to me by name. She also accommodated my request for a mani pedi at the same time with two people. The pedicure was quick but solid, perfect paint job and ingrown nail removal exactly what I like. I had the manicurist do some nail design and she was sweet and made sure I was happy! I think they did a nice job. Oh and pedicure was only $20 and gel nail with design was $45. Can't beat those prices. There's also parking in the back so go get your nails done! read more

Today I received the highest customer service I have ever received at a nail salon ! The girls at artistic are very kind, the listen to you and introduce themselves and are very patient. This simple salon has been here for 24 years and I wish I would have come sooner. They have a big selection of both gel and regular polish and they will treat you like a queen ! I will be back. I hadn't gotten a mani pedi in awhile due to COVID and finally decided to treat myself. I came on a weekday morning as a walk in and there was no wait. The staff here are very pleasant, quality of my gel mani pedi was great (I could tell they paid good attention to detail and they were gentle on the cuticles) and prices were on par with most other nail salons. This was my first time at this nail salon but I had a great experience! Everyone who works there and the nail techs are all incredibly friendly and warm. It's a cute neighborhood spot for Culver/West LA folks with reasonable pricing and great service. I told my nail tech I was in a hurry but wanted something special so she suggested a small design on one of my fingers and did a really efficient and pretty job! Came here today after breaking a nail because they had decent reviews. Employees were nice and personable, but that's where anything good really ended. -After doing the nail fill, the tech was content to send me on my way despite the fact that the nail was noticeably uneven. She also left it noticeably thick. There's also black around the edges where the polish wasn't cleaned all the way off. -The acrylics on my nails also needed a touch-up. I asked to have blue rhinestones put on them. Most salons will do the polish and top coat and then put the rhinestone on top at the very end. Not here. They put the top coat over it, which makes it look less like a rhinestone and more like a weird growth coming out of the bottom of my thumb nail. There's also a huge pocket of air on my right thumb nail that I can squish down and move around. In the end, it was only $8, so it wasn't like I paid for a full set to look as bad as these three nails do - I'd be much more upset if that was the case. In the end this is a $8 inconvenience and you get what you pay for. I won't be coming back here. Update: All three nails that I got done here yesterday have the same air pocket/bubble as the one pictured. Update: Bubbles on both thumbs split. Do NOT ever come here. This is THE WORST fill I've ever had in my life. read more

I love this place and the people who work there. My biggest problem is the scheduling system. If I have an appointment at 2pm, I expect to have the work started at 2pm or a few minutes after. Usually, I have had to wait up to 30 minutes because they took a walk-in before my appointment. They apoligize profusely, but that is not the point. I have a schedule too and 30 minutes ruins my schedule too. I hope this changes because I really like this place. read more

After my all time favorite nail salon had a change in ownership and my usual staff were no longer there, the work was terrible. I've been on a hunt for a new one for quite some time. I can finally say I found "the one"! The staff here are very friendly, polite and you get a warm welcome when you step foot into their shop. If you make an appointment, you have a station all set up for you and automatically get attended to. This is very rare to happen as I always have to wait at other places! I came here because of the Yelp Reviews but won't be returning. I came in for a pedicure, it was $18. They do not have pedicure chairs, but buckets of water in plastic bins for your pedicure. The pedicure was subpar, they do not have any of the extras like hot wax, scrubs, hot stones, so you get what you are paying for. I also feel like the person didn't really get my feet clean, and my feet weren't in the water long enough.
