I stopped in here by chance today, 5/16/26. I had been going somewhere else but had a less than good experience so I was on the hunt for a new place. Since I was a walk in I did wait about 20 minutes (not bad at all but I'll make an appt next time). I spent the wait time choosing a nail color. I was getting gel x extensions new set and single color. Kevin did my nails. He helped me decide between extensions and builder gel. I used to come here regularly to get my eyebrows done. The woman who did them was always very kind and did a great job. Unfortunately, I've had too many experiences where they weren't open during posted business hours, or when I did catch them, I was asked to come back anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hours later. I tried asking if I could schedule an appointment to avoid this but was told they don't take appointments for eyebrows- only walk-ins. Since the drive isn't close for me and it's a hit or miss if I'll even be helped this has been very disappointing While the service itself was good, the lack of reliability makes it hard to continue coming here. I had to tell the person over and over again to fix the tips, (I can be nitpicky) & the person was nice about it but he kind of just rushed the rest of the manicure after putting the clear coat on & sent me on my way with my nails looking like this. I had thee most lovely time when I was serviced here in September. I came in close to an hour and a half to close wanting to get a gel- x removal , fresh gel-x set and a pedicure. I was the last customer and didn't leave until 45 minutes after they were closed because they genuinely took their time to make sure everything was perfect! They took their time on my massages, my XL stiletto gel x nails were sharp and the specifically requested thin french tip was exactly how i wanted it, my french tip toes had never looked better and all my nails + polish lasted OVER a month. It took me some time to write this review because I thought it wasn't worth my time. I decided I should let other Yelpers know about my experience. I had been going to Lovely Nails for years. Of course, I had my favorite for pedicures and he provided the service for years. I have had different manicurist do my nails and I finally started going to Kevin consistently. We all know they are always going to upsell by asking if we want extra services. That's not the problem, the problem is when I say no, I mean NO. There were times when I would give a $10 tip, instead of $5. When I would give a $5 tip both of them would ask for more. I would get so offended because it's so tacky and rude to ask for a tip when I don't have to give you one. I was spending over $100 for each visit. Don't ask me for more money! There were times when I had to go back because either my manicure or pedicure was messed up the next day, which is a real inconvenience. I also have never liked the laughing and joking, we are not friends, I don't want to be friends. I am paying for a service. I only want to get the service I am paying for and leave. That's it, that's all. I stopped going because I am not going to continue to give my money to a business that doesn't appreciate the money I am paying and the tip I give. I have always been a good tipper so to ask me for a bigger tip is so damn rude, especially when customers have said they were going to the ATM and never came back. I will take the drive back to Studio City to get my mani and pedi it's worth the drive because it's a much better experience. If you like dealing with rude service and inappropriate comments, this is the place for you. Have at it. I'm done. My services were not handled with care. There is polish remaining on some of my toes. The owner lied to me about him being the owner after I inquired about my manicure where I left with 4 fingers cut on one hand and two fingers with blood near the cuticle area on the other hand. First, Kevin does not know how to do dip nails. The first sign of a good dip nail salon is that they let you soak the dip off... he gave me a bowl that barely fit one hand and then took it away after a few minutes so he could file them off. He dipped my nails 5x (NOT KIDDING) - If you know how dip nails are supposed to be done, you also know this is way too much dip!! Then because he dipped them so much, he had to file them down with the electric filer... which leads me to my next point... Second, he cut my finger with the electric filer - he knew it and never apologized or gave any acknowledgement. Also, I didn't see him throw the filer tip away which means he properly used it again on someone else. Third, because he had to strip away so much of the excess dip powder, it changed the color of the dip (148). I tried this location because I saw positive reviews for dip nails. I waited over an hour for Kevin because his name kept coming up in the reviews. I felt the need to share my experience to help provide a more balanced perspective on this location. read more

I was enjoying mine but at the end she said it was $65 when the set price is $50. last time they charged me an extra five dollars for the length of my nails, which was not listed in their set pricing, but I said OK, no problem. Today ended up being $65 because she had to cut my nails... I argued with her that that's ridiculous. Cutting someone's nails should be included in the set price of the $50. She got extremely rude with me and told me to "F" off. you cannot make up prices on the spot for customers. That's an absolutely insane business model. I was debating on writing this but i rather let other people know my experience. I came here yesterday because i wanted to find a new place to try doing a set of nails. I showed them a set and already charged 75 for them, through the process i noticed the nails looks very lumpy from the nail polish and just messy. The inspiration picture i showed was way different from how my nails came out. And they still charged full price! I also had to move to different tables because some of them didn't know how to do a simple french tip, and i asked if they could hand draw hearts but they just brought out stickers and i tried giving it the benefit of the doubt but they made my nails come out so tacky. I went on Wednesday for a pedicure and my nail tech accidentally stabbed me with one of the instruments they use to remove ingrown nails. If I could I would leave a zero star!!!! I have been coming to this place for about 3 months, I always get the gelX. I never had any problems. But on my last visit, the lady suggested I do acrílics, because she said would be the same thing and I could just do fills for maintenance. While she was soins my nails I found kind awkward that she told me to memorized the color she was using to polish my nails. Well now I know why, after that day my nails kept broken, like I was using a cheap glue nails that you buy on pharmacy. That been said, today I went back again and I was treated like criminal , like someone that is trying to get stuff for "FREE" they were super rude, the guy ( owner) had the courage to look at me ans said it that I was biting my nails and that's why they keep falling off !!! I really wanted to like this local business, but unfortunately, this is the worst pedicure I've ever had. The constant attempt to upsell should have been my first sign to run! Now to the actual service. First off, the technician didn't warm the water or offer the massage chair control. She quite literally only removed my polish, cut my nails, rubbed a squirt of lotion on the top of my feet and then gave me one coat of color and one coat of clear. No cuticle cutting, no foot scrub and no massage. The entire service was less than 10 minutes long. This is definitely my first and last time here. In a city full of salons, I'd suggest skipping this one. read more

This place was great! Not too far from home and I've heard great things about them from many of my friends. I hear Kevin is the go to guy, but the guy who did my nails was pretty great! He heard my vision completely and was never anyone's or irritated when I asked him to file my nails shorter or add more glitter. I've waited to write this review after going here multiple times because my reviews for other nail salons did not hold up after the 2nd to 3rd time I went. So here it goes. As you can see from all the photos, Kevin is amazing. My fills last longer than three weeks. I've broke or chipped a nail by day ten. I even had someone else at this salon do my fill and it lasted just as long. The first time I had Kevin do my acrylics, they looked just as amazing as the first day, three weeks later..that is including three days of camping. Came here today for a quick pedi and had an opportunity to experience a pretty standard pedicure. Located in the Raintree plaza/ Ralph's shopping complex, parking was a little search but doable. Friday afternoon during the summer is generally a busy time, but they took me immediately and asked me to choose a color. The good: The lady who did my toes was pretty thorough and listened to me when I asked her to not do certain things. The price was pretty good, $18 for a spa pedicure. Their chairs are massage chairs and they use a plastic lining in the foot bath as a way to keep it sanitary. They also have some opi and Essie polishes which is great. The bad: I didn't see my technician take out any of the tools from a clean/sanitary pack to indicate that the tools are fresh and haven't been used on someone before me. This is a major red flag for me as I have gotten terrible skin and nail infections from less than standard clean places causing lots of dermatologist visits and painful peeling. I also saw that they fill the water and have it just sit there for who knows how long, I mean why not fill it when there is a customer coming in? I also noticed that the salon is a dead zone for service and I had to ask for their WiFi password to take a picture and check in and just I guess do my usual stuff. Although they have a bunch of OPI and Essie polishes, I noticed many of them look like they've been thinned out and the colors look old and separated, indicating that they haven't been preserved well. Bottom line: You get what you pay for. Will I come here again? If I am finding myself in a pinch and need something last minute like I did today yes, but I think my search for a solid and healthy/sage pedicure place with massage chairs in this area continues. read more

I would like to start with the positives, but there is literally none. If I could write a review without giving any stars I would, if I had a choice I'd give the -5 stars earned by them I had to ask politely if she would change the nail bit on the nail dremel She sucked her teeth and sighed, slamming the box of other dirty tools on her desk & scrabbling through to find a "clean" bit (VERY UNSANITARY PRACTICE) I was in a crunch & there so I continued with the service. ( BTW I HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE MY MIND) I opted for a simple full-set in my head lol - I took note of her rude reaction to me forfeiting the pedicure. So I knew I'd rather have the nails done before getting into what she would be painting it with. ( See picture ) My nails were a mess, different lengths , different shapes and literally different colors from the same bottle. She was so pushed when I opted out of gel. The shit talking & eye rolling went full force. I mentioned it to her she rolled her eyes & said no. I held my hand to the light to thoroughly explain the evident difference she said "No" I show my friend, she can see it, not because she's my friend but because it was very obvious. So I say "maybe you applied one coat too many in this hand? " "no" she says, gets up & walks away. It's draining to even recap the BS that occurred at the place. I don't understand how she is open. I reminded her she needs to do better & offering customer service or shut down her lips or shop. check out the video I posted of the owner slamming my money on the table due to her minding my business during my phone call & not her own. She up-charged me, I asked why she repeated over and over fullset $35 full set $35 she continued to lie. Mind you I told her my cousin referred me here. I was on the phone asking my cousin & referencing yelp when she jumps up from doing a pedicure for a customer gets my money slams it on the table behind me & says "take your dirty money" cheap woman. It was almost laughable the level of drama ! Note my two small children and best friend were with me. We were shocked & so were most of the other clients. Even saying out loud "that isn't right" What she did do was tell me not to film her for yelp while she was acting a fool! I got the tail end but seriously would have loved to have had a go-pro for this. She was the cantankerous owner of the shop.
